The Lights Cafe

Very unassuming place with good vegan food! I had their avocado toast which had lemon juice and red pepper over sourdough bread. It was delicious and thickly spread. The Manager was very nice and told us a lot about how they do things. All their Pastry is made in house. We also had the Vanilla and Matcha Latte. I liked the Vanilla the best, it had a sweet but not too sweet flavor. I definitely will be going back. They have an Olive Oil cake that looks divine! Highly recommend this place!

The food tastes soooo good here. Ingredients are all fresh. The kitchen is situated so that you can see them preparing meals, which is neat. The service is superb. You can tell that this establishment is operated extremely well by caring individuals. I had the breakfast sandwich, sampled the amazing waffles, and porridge. All were very good and flavorful.

My only regret about The Lights Cafe is that this was my first visit...I wish I'd tried it sooner! I had breakfast there and loved the French Toast. My friend had the breakfast sandwich and she said it was delicious too. The service was incredible and it's such a great and relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely return for lunch soon and/or dinner on a Friday or Saturday evening.

Louise offered the best of service, and very fresh, authentic ingredients. Seasonal plates and delicious drink pairings in addition to his genuine service, made the breakfast/brunch everything it needed to be. Without interruption from a crowded atmosphere. Warm and welcoming.

Lights Cafe has to be one of the best breakfast spots in the charlotte area hands down! My first reaction was the service! It was over the top like you would find at a 5-star fine dining establishment; We had 3 people seating the two of us. The food was OUT OF THE WORLD good! It came out fairly fast and the smells and flavor from it... phenomenal! The portions were just right and the temperatures were spot on. We spoke with the staff and they are all super friendly and very knowledgeable. We are coming back!

My husband and I have gone both by ourselves and with our daughter numerous times and have never been disappointed. The service is great, the food is love on a plate (the flavors and quality is better than you can get anywhere else in the area), and they just started a dinner menu that looks amazing. This small restaurant is a must try and we have quickly become regulars.

Awesome cafe! Everything on the menu sounded very unique, our breakfast choices looked very appetizing, and tasted even better… so fresh. Service was great. Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu and on the pastry display

Loved this place. Staff was friendly, food was fresh and delicious. You can tell that they care about the small details of their dishes, which made for a unique breakfast experience. Wish I had a photo of the food to post, but we ate it too quick.

Went for the first time after I saw Lottery Dream Home had an episode there and wasn’t disappointed. The mimosa with Prosecco and fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. Had the chicken sandwich and crispy fries (the only way to serve them in my opinion). Will definitely be back for breakfast to try some of the coffee/chai drinks and yummy options. If I have to put one complaint it’s that they call it a wine bar as well yet there’s no wine list and they’re not open late. Seems like a waste of a liquor license as I only saw 1 other table with wine, I guess it’s mostly to serve mimosas but if I had a liquor license and called myself a wine bar, I’d at least open Friday and Saturday night to serve some glasses and take advantage of the markups. Just my opinion.

Best Cuban sandwich outside South Florida. Great atmosphere, Luis was very friendly & offered great suggestion & service. Definitely our new favorite lunch spot.

Fell in love with this place!! First time in today and I loved the entire vibe of the cafe. The smoothie was delicious and I got a few juices to go. Looking forward to going back and tasting the food they offer.
Also the staff was super friendly. Highly recommend!

What do you get when you combine great food, friendly service with a clean and comfortable environment and convenient location? The Lights Cafe! Each time I enjoy a meal here I determine to return to try another menu option. Give this local eatery a try, you won’t be disappointed!

This cafe is spacious in my opinion, unlike many cafes and coffee shops putting lots of tables close to each other inside a small room, which makes me feel tense.

Delectable Food with delightful presentation!! Multiple Healthy choices. Will come back again. The vegetable frittata (pictured below) was wonderfully crafted and beautifully presented.

Such a gem! Food is extremely fresh & layered in flavors/ingredients. My go to is the Moonrise Kingdom grain bowl. You can chose quinoa or rice blend or no grains. All options amazing. The Bruce Banner smoothie (w/o Apple juice add coco water) is refreshing. The consistency is not thick as some smoothies, but it’s still great. I randomly tried a berry jam bar. Phenomenal. Menu items are not as cost friendly but worth it, because of the quality. Staff super friendly and can make suggestions. Order ahead when you can. You also can dine inside (maybe 7 tables) or outside (I think 3 tables). They close at 3pm and hate when I crave them at 3:01.

This cafe is spectacular. I walked here from Crunch Fitness and was not expecting much, the cafe sits in an unassuming position in a strip mall- as soon as I walked in I was blown away. The man who took my order was kind and helpful, the latte I ordered was one of the best in Charlotte. I ate the avocado toast with bacon and WOW- fresh, delicious, and made with care. I would recommend anyone come here for a delicious breakfast and amazing coffee!

We had breakfast here and everything was delicious. The drip coffee has a very good and unique flavor (generous portion!). My husband had the açaí bowl and I had the buckwheat waffle. Both were excellent. They use fresh, quality ingredients. Fresh squeezed OJ. Highly recommend this restaurant. We will be coming back for more!

The people in here are super nice. The food was very fresh and locally sourced. We had capuchinos, avocado toast a veggie omelet and the chia cup. 10/10 delicious.

This place is great for a hidden gem for a healthy lunch or breakfast . They Also have a great selection of unique wine and fresh squeezed OJ for mimosas! 🍊🥂

Felt so take care of! The service provided was a group effort and everyone involved really cared about us and our experience. The food was fantastic and it’s very vegan and vegetarian friendly.
