Comprehensive Urology

I love Dr. Johnson. She took great care of me. I was referred to her by my PCP for care. It was a little wait & paperwork but was a reasonable time to get into an exam room. She completed all my exams (I hadn’t seen a urologist in over 5 years!). My InterStim neurostimulator was non functioning. She quickly scheduled a tech for the following week. After tech confirmation, I was scheduled for battery replacement surgery. I had the surgery on July 12, 2023 and she did a great job. I had 3 seizures following my surgery (Epilepsy) and she made sure the attending Dr would keep me overnight for surveillance. She informed my family. She was very courteous and informative. She also checked on me after the office closed & the next day. I have minimal scarring, she matched my original surgical scar. I have healed beautifully. I am happy to continue being her patient for the years to come!

I dont think anyone wants to be at this office, so take others opinion with a grain of salt. For me I was just hurried away from the ER and given meds that didn't do anything. The whole staff was very responsive to my painful situation. I know that my condition should have been handled at the hospital, but it wasn't, and these people actually cared. I was honestly getting depressed thinking because I only have medicade no one wants to treat me. I had to drive 35 min from my town to be treated like a person.

A good urological practice. But Dr. Johnson too quick to conduct invasive procedures.

seems like i share the same opinion about the office help as the rest of the folks on here. I was told they lost all my info due to a company buy out. so it is now 15 minutes past my appointment time and the self absorbed receptionist tells me i have to fill out the paperwork, which looks like a chapter from the obamacare handbook, that I filled out when I first started going to Dr. Johnston months ago. So when a friend that I recommended to Dr. Johnston called me to tell me they lost his appointment which was a referral I wasn't the least bit surprised. He was told he had to make another appointment. This is unfortunate for me as owning my own business to have my time taken advantage of but I also felt doctor Johnson was very knowledgeable to my condition and I would finally get some much needed relief. Wendy, Dr. Johnston's nurse was awesome and very professional and courteous. Find another office.

Dr Johnson has no idea what she's doing. She did surgery on me for bladder cancer admitted there was a pocket she couldn't see or get to yest 5 weeks later did the same surgery again. Then referred me out. I called the Dr she referred me to they didn't take my Insurance. They had told Dr Johnson this 5 weeks prior to me calling. I had to find my own Dr. I call back 5 weeks later to see time of my follow up. No one answered the phone or gave me a call back.

Dr. Johnson is great. However I called to make an appointment to get blood drawn... the reception said I don’t need an appointment I just have to come in. When I get there I was told there’s a note and I must have an appt to have dr. Johnson draw my blood. She had an attitude and was rude. Could care less she gave my incorrect info and wasted my time and $. Every experience I’ve had with her is horrendous. The nurses and dr Johnson are nice but I can not give anymore than 1 star bc the receptionist is horrible EVERY TIME.

Dr Johnson's assistant will not return calls, have left numerous messages. Dr Johnson is great but MUSC needs to clean house and start over with staff that cares about helping people.

i’m telling you- there’s a reason every dang review on here is a complaint about the staff. they are terrible and have the worst attitudes completely. they make it seem like answering a phone is going to cost them 5 years of their life and avoid it at all costs.
good luck trying to get a question answered without being talked over/interrupted. i had no choice but to come here since my insurance is accepted here. i dread it.

Let me first say that the one star doesn't go towards Dr. Johnson or her nurse D! They are completely amazing, they helped my mom as much as they could, the problem falls with the receptionist Charlotte and Tanya. In person they have a terrible attitude towards us everytime we have been in the office. When my mother called today trying to help them with their job, Tanya interrupted my mom a few times before my mother asked could she have a turn Tanya then went to screaming at my mother that she has already sent in what was proved she hadn't and screamed she would send it again then hung up on my mother. I have worked in a medical profession for a while and that IS NOT HOW you talk too anyone but please put yourself in my shoes that a medical professional screamed and hung up on your sick mother. Anyone would be furious! I asked to make a complaint which was pushed to the side and never talked about. So I'm having to complain here. Those women will make you not want to visit Dr. Johnson and she is a good doctor.

Dr. Johnson is very great at what she does! my son Travis Blair See's her an we are very pleased with her medical assistant!! And all of her nurses as well very respectful!!

Dr Johnson great, the staff...... Do better.
