I have never seen a more disorganized office or such rude staff. I went for an annual physical in December of 2013. Filled out paperwork and dropped it off in advance a week prior to scheduled visit, as required. Showed up for appointment and was told "nobody knew you were coming in this early" despite the fact that the front office called ME to establish appointment time. When Dr. entered room she did not extend any kind of salutation or introduce herself. I asked why I was not having blood work or pap smear done and she said I would have to schedule that at a later time. After going over medical history I was told "I thought you were mighty young to have so much wrong with you." At the end of visit, she asked if I was having any other issues. I briefly mentioned hip joint pain, for which she suggested I get an x-ray. After checking out with a melancholic young woman at the front desk, I swore I'd never return. As much as I wish this was my final encounter with this practice, this was sadly not the case. I was billed a month later for an injury visit for $98. With much consternation, I called the number listed on the statement to solve the issue. I was told that the visit was billed to my insurance as "hip pain" instead of an annual exam and, therefore, was added to my deductible. Segway: It is worth mentioning that I have since found a fantastic dr. (whom I've seen multiple times) and I have no problem paying for services I request and then receive (I have already done so with my new physician). To make a frustrating, unnecessarily lengthy story shorter, I have called many times over the last six months, was forwarded to varying people and only received a final answer today. A very curt female informed me this afternoon that the coding wouldn't change, that I only established contact since April (untrue--I have written notes dating back to February) and that if I didn't pay I wouldn't be seen in their office any longer. Ha! I wouldn't point even my most annoying acquaintance in the direction of this office.
