If you are in a hurry, don't stop here because you will be late. If you want a relaxing time with some great food and atmosphere, then this is the place to stop. This place is basically run by one person, so you wait to put your order in, wait for your drinks, wait for your food, etc. Was it worth the wait? Oh yes! I had a nice time having a conversation with my husband away from the house while waiting. The music was at a comfortable volume, so it wasn't interfering with our conversation. The place was clean, and between the black and white decor, it actually looked fancy, yet it was relaxing. The food was very good. I ordered the Oxtail. The only thing is I am used to eating it with a bit of heat, and this had none. It was good, very tender, and the rice with beans too, just no heat. I asked for hot sauce, but that isn't the same as the spices, plus it added a different taste. Next time I go, and I will be going back, I am just going to slip some of my hot seasoning in my pocket to mix in it before I eat it. I know it will be heavenly then, and I will have my heat. (Of course, this is just my personal taste, and again, it was delicious the way it was.)

Came to town to help a friend and he took me out here for lunch. This place is a hidden gem. The Cuban was one of, if not the best I've ever had. The Yucca fries they were served with were a delight too. Staff was super friendly and willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had the best experience. If you happen to be in the area, this is a definite must stop.

I want to start off with the food was amazing. The out side of the building wasn't much to look at...However when you get inside everything is clean and the look and feel was romantic. The staff was very friendly and quick. We tried a few of the appetizers and it was all amazing. My wife got the ribye and loved it! Was very juicy and tasted perfect. I had the stuffed pork with rice and black beans. It was tender and when I mixed them all up it was the best! First visit and definitely not the last! Amazing! Oh yea and the fried plantains are awesome

Marcelo is now my Hermano! This was the best Latin cuisine. We had the Guaynabano juice, Cuban sandwich with yuca fries, mofongo with lechon and goat stew with black rice and collards! If you want homeade, delicious food with a great atmosphere, look no further. Marcelo’s is simply amazing!

In town on business wishing I found Marcelo's on the first day. Outside isn't much to look at but the food inside is excellent. Ordered a Cuban sandwich, Mofongo with shrimp and the mango-passionfruit cheesecake.
The Cuban sandwich was large and tasted great. The bread was authentic and strong, yet soft and chewy holding the sandwich together well. The mofongo was the best. Even better than what I had in Puerto Rico. The cheesecake has to be tried. Words cannot describe.

If Six Stars were an option, I would have selected that. The food is amazing and the owner is genuine and cares for his guests!

This place is not much to look at from the outside but when you walk in it is very well done and very cozy! It is what many people would consider a hole in the wall, but it's so much more!

The experience we had was so amazing that it's worth a great review. We walked in on Sunday, and Marcelo greeted us at the door and explained that he was the one man band for the day. He showed us to our table and took care of the other table that was there.

He was not only our server, cook, to go specialist, and cashier, but he was also a caring business owner. In all that he had to do, he still took time to have a brief, genuine conversation with us.

When the food did come out from the fresh guacamole and the ham croquetas for an appetizer to the roasted chicken, Cuban sandwich and the thick Freaky Burger, all came out looking amazing and fresh. It was not thrown together, but each dish was plated and presented beautifully. Portions were great, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food.

Now, if you are in a rush, this might not be the place to eat in. It did take a little longer than corporate chain restaurants, but you make up for it in taste and quality. The city of Lancaster and surrounding towns need to find out about this hidden gem!!!

Good quality of food and fair pricing! The spinach dip was ok but the chips had a unique taste that made the dip taste better! The classic burger was delicious, the meat was a little more burnt than I like but I still enjoyed it. The actually hamburger bun is really good, kinda had a semi sweet taste. The service was fast and friendly!

The service here is supreme, and the food is absolutely amazing. And the atmosphere feels like a fancy restraunt you need reservation for. I highly recommend this amazing place to anyone who loves delicious high quality food and service. As a wing lover i wish i had more hands, so i could give these wings 4 thumbs up 🌶

Definitely a place you should come and try!! The food is rich with flavor and love. I had a mofongo and the Dominican flag everything was fresh and ready to eat!!

The intensity of This Freaky burger is just oh so good. The egg and bacon mesh so well with burger meat, throw everything together and the taste becomes quite heavenly. Plus, with the choices of choosing totones over fries is such a nice choices.

Marcelo's has great food. Unfortunately they don't have a liquor license nor wine or beer. Marcelo is very personable and eager to please. We will definitely go back.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. The food is incredible and the restaurant is CLEAN! Marcelo is a delightful host and makes everyone feel like a special guest. My daughter has food sensitivities and she was able to enjoy a complete gluten free dairy free meal. The roast pork is melt in your mouth tender and the house rice was delicious. I can’t wait to go back. I didn’t try the empanadas, but the lady at the next table did- and she asked Marcelo to marry her😂.

The food was amazing! The scampi was a little small but phenomenal! The Cuban was great! We liked everything. We really enjoyed talking to the owner and excited to try some new foods! Definitely need to try.

This restaurant has the best food and service in town.

The portions of the meal where balenced well on the plate. My found was delicous, though i found the pork a bit to salty. The plantains and corn i had was great :3 The pork was very tender and smoked very good.

Great food. Great service. Hands down the best steak and potato in town. Definitely a hidden gem. Y'all go see Marcelo. You will not be disappointed.

I just had the Sunday buffet. What a wonderful selection of foods. From pork roast, to BBQ ribs, crab legs, biggest baked potatoes ever, numerous sides, this was a winner for $35. Marcelo and his staff were superb. Marcelo has won the hearts of Lancaster. And his interior upgrades are beautiful.

My husband & I are sitting in awe after eating a phenomenal dinner at LECHONERO MARCELO’S!!! I don’t think there is anywhere we’ve eaten in Lancaster since we’ve lived here that can compare! Y’all come on & support this little gem of a restaurant! Our food was made to order, incredibly fresh, & out of this world delicious! The restaurant is super clean & decorated tastefully! Will definitely be frequent visitors here! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The empanadas are THE BEST I've ever had! I could order just the empanadas alone and be happy, especially since they're not super tiny like most places! The owner Marcelo was very polite, friendly, and extremely helpful. He's honest and caring towards his guests which made the experience even more memorable.
