I called Animal Control regarding an incident that occurred with my dog being attacked by a dog running free. I spoke with a lady by the name of Tammy. She was very polite, helpful and professional. She took my information and said she would to try to help locate the owner of the stray dog(s). I have no complaints of how my call was handled. Nor did I experience any rudeness what so ever, as some have stated in previous reviews. Maybe the previous reviews were taken seriously and changes have been made to make sure all calls are handled professionally.

I called for an emergency situation. I witnessed 2 dogs attack a small cat. Barely alive I called a couple places and they told me to call this location. When I finally got a hold of someone after being tossed around, they told me they can’t come out or do anything about it.

They're really no help whatsoever. The lady on the phone was yelling at me disregarding my concerns of a paralyzed stray cat we found. With concerns about cost, she claimed that euthanization does not cost the amount I researched and confirmed with the local vets. She just said "just call your local vets its not that much. stop yelling over me". You guys need to do a much better job with customer service. Super rude!

OMG, never have I ever been spoken to so rudely as I was today by Brazoria County's Animal Control Officer. About a year ago there was a feral mama cat that had a litter of kittens underneath my mobile home. At that time I already had a dog and a cat (both spayed) and did not want to take on the responsibility of caring for any other pets. I informed Animal Control and was told that because I had the kittens more than seventy-two hours, I was now the owner and for them to come pick up the mama, I would have to catch and cage it. Eventually, I was able to catch the mama and took her and the kittens to the Houston Humane Society. I guess living away from the city, individuals think they can just come out here and dump their unwanted animals for us to deal with them. There has been a stray cat running around where I live and has had two litter of kittens in the last five months, it seems. Well, I thought I would do the responsible thing before I called Animal Control and make every effort to cage this mama cat with the last litter she had under my chicken house. Having done this, I called Animal Control requesting that they come out to pick them up; only to get my head ripped off by this individual that called me to tell me they were not coming to pick up this cat and its litter because they had already told me that they were my cats, that I had them to long. This individual would not give me the opportunity to explain that that was a different cat and had been almost a year ago. She just went on and on how they had already talked to me. Rude must I say with a capital RUDE.

There's been a dog trapped under my neighbors storage building for a week and we have both called and they refuse to even attempt to help pull the dog out. His barking is getting more shallow by the day and the rude lady on the phone told me that there was nothing they could do about it. Please get rid of these rude people answering the phone and hire people who actually CARE about animals, people that will go beyond their job description to save a life.

Horrible people don't care. Called on an animal cruelty case and they acted as if they came and couldn't find address. I will file complaint thinking about letting media know. This is wrong.

I’ve called several times for several different issues over the year, and they have come out once. And that was a noise complaint because of dogs. Stray dogs or other animals? Nothing.

They just hang up on you and act like they can’t hear, no help
