We just had the best vet visit ever! (It's usually a very traumatic event.) Athena has never been so relaxed at the vet. As you can see from the pic, both she and Chewie were very calm, and that was after the blood draw and nail trim. Dr. Montgomery and his staff are awesome! We've found our new Athena and Chewie approved vet.

We bring all 3 of our beagles here and have ever since we moved to the area. We’ve seen both Dr. Montgomery and Dr. Alsop. Will admit that initially we didn’t give Dr. Alsop much of a chance because she looks so young but she is WONDERFUL. They both are but really love her compassion and obvious love for animals. She treats your pet as if they were her own. The office staff is great too.
We unfortunately had to bring one of our babies to go to sleep last night. We’ve gone to Blue Pearl and other places for this for our babies who have passed before. Those places are in and out like a revolving door and expensive too. Not at Southern Winds and not with Dr. Alsop and her staff. This is a review of course but also a thank you so much for treating our Lucky like she was your own.

Dr. Montgomery is a very knowledgeable and compassionate vet. He's operated on one of my smallest (spay, removed ½ lb mammary tumor, dental cleaning w/extractions) and helped me with aftercare plans. Midge (the dog) is doing extremely well and she's always happy to see the vet! Additionally, Dr. Montgomery has helped me make some difficult decisions in care for some of my other animals and I'm glad that he was there to help me through that rough time. I'd definitely use Southern Winds for all of my dogs' care. (Attached are photos of Dr. Montgomery's favorite patient before and after her surgery. As you can see, she got her life back!)

First time coming here. We recently moved to Seguin and was told this was the best. And they are!!! Very friendly my 1.5 yr old mini dachshund was neutered and he is doing great.

Very thorough and knowledgeable. I'm glad we took our chicken in! Compassionate and answered all of our questions. We were able to make clear and informed decision for our chicken, thank you!

One of the Best Vet experiences I've had. Dr. Montgomery and his staff are wonderful! Very caring and very reasonable pricing. I've definitely found the vet all of my fur babies will visit from now on. I highly recommend!

Every time my fur babies go the experience is top notch. Vets, Vet techs and receptionist are kind and understanding of my pets needs. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Teo of my babies are seniors 13 (dog) and 15 (cat) and the care they get is phenomenal. Dr. Alsop is an amazing veterinarian. She is so compassionate and so loving with her patients. My cat loves her. Whenever he needs to go for his monthly injection for arthritis and sees her he vocalizes his trust for her. It’s heartwarming knowing that her love of animals goes beyond just treating them. She shows genuine love and concern for her patients.

We have several pets that Southern Winds has taken care of. A few spay and neuters, getting a sick puppy healthy, bringing a cat back from the literal door of death. We will be going to Southern Winds for all of our pets needs!!!

I went for an appointment with my dog, they were accommodating and also saw my new dog I had adopted the evening before. Mr. Montgomery is great to work with and is always financially minded.

They were able to take my cat , Spike , last minute in order to do get him neutered. I was coming from San Antonio, and cannot begin to say how much I appreciated that. They treated my Spike great and we will definitely use Southern Winds again.

I have all my dogs go here, the staff is very kind and family based. They cared for my bulldog Auto who passed of old age. I was able to get a paw 🐾 print and his ashes in a beautiful wood carded box. I received a sympathy letter from the staff. They still continue to take care of all my dogs with love and compassion. They are affordable, fair, honest, and my dogs walk in here as if it's a play time not vet time lol. They love it here

This practice is wonderful! My senior kitty has an autoimmune condition that causes him to have sores on his sides. He has been to two dermatologists that gave up on his case and consistently made me feel bad for his sores not improving. Neither of the dermatologists or his previous vet offered any additional insights or solutions. My primary reason for his appointment was to have a lump I had discovered biopsied. On top of getting the results of the mass within the hour (good news), the doctor recommended an alternative to his oral steroid medication. We are thrilled to be trying something new with the possibility of a better result. Everyone was so kind and the prices were reasonable which is something I am not accustomed to in my previous city. If you live anywhere close to this practice don’t hesitate to bring your pet here, they will be in the best hands!

Love this vet center! They took us for an emergency when our two Pyrenees encountered a porcupine. Our dogs are not pets and are not used to strangers getting up close and personal. They are guard dogs and are wary of indoor spaces and strangers. But the vet and the techs made them comfortable and got the quills out. We have since moved our records there so they can be our regular vets. They also do large animals, so that might come in handy sometimes for goats and cattle. Their staff are all very helpful and considerate.

Dr. Alsop is amazing. She is caring with all of my variety of farm animals and very knowledgeable!!! She goes above and beyond!

Started going here because our usual vet was always so packed. Pleased to say it's a welcome change. Always the same people behind the desk which is nice, Dr's are nice and well knowledgeable. Also nice to not spend over an hour to get shots for my dog. We will definitely be back

Best vet ever!!!!!!!! We relocated to this area and our horse last night had a serious leg injury. We came early this morning and the vet helped us and guided us of how to care for our horse. She was nice and so caring. I’m beyond grateful for the staff and doctor.

Highly suggest!! Dr. Montgomery and Dr. Alsop are amazing! I have a very shy doberman and they’re never pushy or make her uncomfortable. Gentle and kind, plus they’re very upfront about what’s going on with my animals. The staff is also super friendly and understanding of my girl. Also amazing with cats as well! Probably the best vets I’ve met in a really long time! You can tell they genuinely do care about each animal they see

Kind and courteous. Answered all my questions and made sure I was ready for the appointment. Reasonable prices and the receipt was itemized without me having to ask. Made my animal feel safe and let me know how things went when I picked her up. I will recommend this place to everyone who needs a good vet

We are new to Texas so did not have a vet yet. One of our cats started peeing in places other than her litter box. Called and they gave me a same day appt. Went in they were super nice. The Dr. explained everything including cost. Very reasonable cost, I was expecting it to be maybe double to what it came out to. Now we paid to see how Koko responds to the meds she was given. I am very pleased, we have 4 other pets so we will be bring them here.

The staff at the clinic went above and beyond their call of duty! I had a very sick 15 year little dog. Dr Alsop was so amazing and sensitive. I knew after talking to her the second day that my little Pepi Girl was not going to make it. The compassion Dr Alsop has cannot be taught. She was with us till Pepi went over the Rainbow Bridge! All my pups will see her now!
