Before my food got here, I walked around the pond and found a cool Turtle and a few Geese. Also took a cool pic of the building. Coffee cup had very encouraging message on it. Highly recommend the Texas Pecan Coffee flavor. The Texas Breakfast was great, the seasoning in the potatoes hits different. The bacon was nice and greasy, and the eggs were wonderful. Overall I had a great experience.

I ordered the big breakfast plate, which came with three fluffy, golden brown pancakes with a side of melting butter and maple syrup. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy, and the sausage patties were juicy and packed with seasoning.

The pancakes were the highlight of the meal, although I would say the same for sausage. Pancake were perfectly cooked with a wonderful fluffy interior and slightly crisp exterior. Each bite delivered a sweet maple flavor that paired nicely with the salty, savory sausage.

The potatoes provided a good balance to the sweetness of the pancakes. They were well-seasoned and had an excellent crispy texture on the outside while remaining pillowy and absorbent on the inside to soak up any extra syrup or butter.

The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Our server came by several times to check on us. The manager even stopped by our table to ensure we were enjoying everything.

The restaurant has a charming, cozy atmosphere with natural lighting, and plants. The seating is comfortable and there is enough space between tables for a quiet, intimate dining experience. With free wifi and outlets near most table, it's also an ideal spot to get some work done over breakfast.

So my partner and I decided to try something new and came across this beautiful cozy place. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and I cannot not mention Kirstie. She did an amazing job of taking care of us. He got a Steak and egg and I had asked for Chicken fried chicken. Both delicious and perfect flavor. Thank you again Kirstie for your Help and Service. Definitely will be coming back.

Friendly People, comfortable atmosphere. Some places are cutting corners - here they definitely do not. Many varieties of foods to choose from for any type of tastebud. Other perks include a beautiful all season patio that overlooks a little pond and a nicely stocked bar.

I’ve been here before but today was the first day I was completely blown away.

I had the Nashville hot chicken Benedict for breakfast and was thoroughly impressed.

The chicken was fried to perfection with a super thin & light breading (I am not a fan of super thick breading and this one couldn’t be better in my opinion) The sauce had just a tough of sweet and a bit more heat for a great balance.

Poached egg was perfect, English muffin was grilled giving it great texture.

I chose grits for my side and thought they were fabulous… I don’t claim to be an expert on grits but they sure were tasty

The food is always good and the atmosphere is really nice. We like sitting on the patio when we can to see the ducks at the pond. They have great gelato, chicken sandwiches, and tomato basil soup 🤗

Great food with prompt & attentive service. You might have one of your party find a table while you order at the cashier stand if it's busy but we didn't have a problem. Waiters & management delivered food and checked on us. The patio is super cute when it's warm.

This was a nice gem of a place to stop in before our flight out of DFW. I created my own omelet with bacon, sausage, ham, peppers, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese. My fiancé got the chicken and waffles. We shared a carafe of freshly squeezed orange juice mimosa; perfect for our flight back home. The service was super quick too!

Absolutely love Black Walnut Cafe! The chill ambiance, fantastic happy hour deals, and friendly service make it our go-to spot. Conveniently close to work, it's the perfect post-work haven for us. Highly recommended! Everyone here is super friendly :)

I went for breakfast and I had a fantastic experience. Did not get any specialty coffee but the regular coffee was very good. Got the lemon blueberry pancakes and the Texas breakfast. Eggs were cooked right and everything tasted great. The server got us to go coffees as well.

Great Restaurant!! Me and my family ate and it was so good and filling:) the service was great and it was gorgeous inside the cafe. However one thing I do wish is that the waiters come to our table instead of us waiting in line but it wasn’t as much as a big problem. The food was great and I recommend the chicken and waffles😊

My meal was awesome I couldn't finish all of my pancakes with the Avocado and Bacon Eggs Benedict that I ordered with the house potatoes that was super great!!,.and I'm grateful that the kitchen was accommodating to make my eggs fried over hard as I don't like them to be runny,..one place I went here in TX tried to correct me in saying that Eggs Benedict don't come any other way,..after being a chef for 20+ years I was quite surprised to hear that,.and to know that in TX an egg can't be poached hard,..but at Black Walnut Cafe they found a way to make it work Thank You!!

I wanna give a shout out to the employees. So kind and generous. They practically made my evening a lot brighter. Thank u guys and gals. And the pot roast sandwich and salad were totally Devine. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant atmosphere and company. Thank yall again for ur help.

You go to the counter and order your food, choose your table and wait for your food, in two large halls with tables and a central bar, I like the concept, created a very nice environment that doesn't feel crawdads like a lot of restaurants.
The food is very good and service is also good 👍

Anthony and Philip were amazing, thank you so much to the staff at Black Walnut for making me and my wife's 4th wedding anniversary simply amazing. We had the Vindaloo wings and they were so well cooked that the chicken was literally slipping off from the bone. The shrimp on my entree was cooked and seasoned to perfection as well. My wife and I come to a BWC every year for our anniversary and we're convinced that they can't make bad food. Thank you so much for the amazing experience guys! Looking forward to next year already!

This is my favorite brunch place! The food is amazing and they have one of the best mimosas flights I’ve had.

I had lunch here for the 1st time today. I had the Mediterranean chicken, my Mom had Chipotle chicken pasta, and my daughter had a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. All 3 were delicious. The service was excellent. One of the dishes the server brought was wrong. The server apologized and took it back. We weren't upset, mistakes happen, and it was an easy fix. The manager, on the other hand, acted like their most important customer had been greatly inconvenienced. She apologized for the mix-up several times and brought us the correct dish when it was ready. Later, she brought us a complimentary piece of the most decadent chocolate cake I have ever had. I will definitely be back.

This was a great brunch experience, definitely going to be more visits, great food!
