Almayeva Ballet Academy

My 16 year old daughter transferred to this studio earlier this year. She wanted to find a studio that was serious about ballet, focused on technique and had a strong training program. After a week of trial classes she fell in love with the studio. She participated in the summer intensive and joined the dance company this fall. Learning and training with Mrs. Marina is her favorite thing to do. She has shown so much progress and increased flexibility. We are so thankful for this studio, the instruction and program.

Amazing training! My daughter was at ABA for 4 years and placed top 12 in multiple ballet competitions. We always enjoyed and looked forward to their beautiful Nutcracker productions every year.

My daughter has been dancing at the Marina Almayeva School of Classical Ballet for 8 years. The instruction, training and environment are exceptional. Starting in Kindergarten, she was taught proper technique. She is now in 8th grade and is a skilled dancer. She loves her ballet school and working with Ms Marina.

My daughter decided when she turn 10 she switch from Tennis to Ballet, I supported her, but I was worry she will struggle as this art that requires discipline and years of training, since toddlers. Well she is thriving after 2 years and is now part of the academy company, much of the success is thanks to Marina Almayeva, she is a very experience professional ballet dancer, but importantly she is a great coach that kids will learn and benefit for ever.
There is no Substitutes for the real talent and experience, Mrs. Almayeva possesses.

Marina Almayeva’s studio focuses on the serious study of ballet for dancers ages 3 and up—from my perspective it is a remarkable school that instills not only practical ballet techniques but self-discipline and respect. Ms. Almayeva is a studied ballet professional who is committed to teaching her art at the high standard it requires. That said, Ms. Almayeva is approachable, respectful and kind to both her students and their parents.

I am getting so emotional writing this review, as I first do not know where to begin, since there are so many wonderful things I could mention about this studio, and secondly, because I moved for college and I devastatingly had to leave this year. I came to this studio last year with almost no ballet experience, and only a few years training in other genres of dance. Needless to say, I was incredibly embarrassed about dancing since I started so late, and I was desperately looking for a studio that would provide quality training. Luckily, I had found the perfect place - Marina Almayeva School of Classical Ballet. Ms. Marina and Ms. Katia not only taught me so much about ballet, but highly exceeded my expectations due to their attentiveness, expertise, and determination to make each of their dancers, regardless of their skill, knowledgeable and invested in the art of dance. In a year, because of them, I am much more confident about dancing, and ballet is now one of my greatest passions. You can truly tell that not only do Ms. Marina and Ms. Katia love what they do, but they love the students whom they teach. Furthermore, my fellow peers at this studio were so kind and welcoming, and often helped me if I struggled, without disdain. This studio is truly a beautiful community! No other studio can rival this one, and you need to just simply look at the dancers here to see that there is such a difference in the quality of training. While I still have much to learn and improve on, I would never have learned so much, nor garnered a love for ballet, had I trained elsewhere. So, if you are looking for quality training for yourself or your child, you do not need to look any further. Marina Almayeva School of Classical Ballet is the only place worth going to!

My daughter has been with Ms. Marina for 4 years and we couldn't be happier!! The training is excellent! Ms. Marina is so committed to working with her students to help them reach their full potential!! My daughter has improved sooooo much since we've been at this studio. We love Ms. Marina, Ms. Katia, and the whole family. They invest a lot of hard work, time, and love into their students. We feel blessed that we have found a studio of this caliber!! Truly phenomenal instruction....Highly recommend!!!!

Katia and her Family are so nice and have a passion for The Sport. When I have a question it is answered immediately and straight to the point. The quality and expense are like no other. My Daughter has grown so much. I hope to see her shine in Paris.

You will not find better ballet training anywhere in the area! Especially if you are a serious ballet student. Ms. Marina expertly trains from beginners to pre-professionals!

Amazing teachers, great atmosphere for learning, good ballet training for serious dancers. Very diverse and welcoming to everyone!

Amazing classes for adults and kids! Professional Russian balet school.

Nice school and new location is fabulous. Teachers are rigorous and professional but also very approachable and willing to talk and answer questions.
My lack of 5 stars comes from the following--NOT from the level of teaching, etc...
*Wish the waiting area wasn't also the stretching/ballet tote bag area, as well. It would be nice to have a small prep/storage area with cubbies so the girls can put their bags up off the floor and allow them some barre and stretching space prior to their classes and allow the waiting room to be just that...a place to wait.
*Would also love to have the ability to buy the clothes right there instead of wait for them to arrive at the studio. Outsourcing takes forever and if you don't 'guess' a size right (which happens often with growing little girls) it's a hassle to correct.
