Great food, great customer service, and great authentic vibes. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the wait wasn't too long. The only thing I would change would be making the crispy tacos with more flavor, but that's it. That was the best tortilla soup I've ever tasted!

This place is always very quick with service and the food comes out hot and with a smile. Victor is always happy to help when you need anything and remembers my order as "The usual?" They serve a huge variety of types of foods from Mexican dishes to Italian, and Hamburgers. What a great place for lunch and dinner.

Small hole in the wall place and in my opinion, on of Taylor's best kept secret. Food is plenty and so much flavor and the Margaritas aren't wattered down. Seriously, The Price is resonable considering that everywhere is expensive now. When my wife and I want to go out to eat, this is our spot.

Always come here when I visit Taylor. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Wait staff is friendly, although sometimes you need to get their attention when needing something and you are just one of two or 3 tables at the tine. Decor is different but fun to look at. Go for the food!

This place is an absolute hidden gem. If you’re looking for something different from your usual Texmex food, this is the spot.

The food here is all so vibrant and full of flavor. The chipotle enchiladas are smoky, spicy, and delicious. The salsa is the best in town, and the cilantro dip they bring out with the chips is unlike anything you’ll ever taste. I could dip my hand in that sauce and eat it.

The creole pasta is also fantastic, with a great blend of proteins and a really flavorful and zesty sauce.

If you’re in or near Taylor, you owe it to yourself to stop by Monarcas.

Great lunch recently for a family member birthday event. Courteous service. The food was great. A variety of choices and delicious. Made the event special for the birthday girl. PS I was taking the pics. !

I'm leaving a review as we finish our meal. This was a really nice surprise for us, considering we were at emergency levels of hunger. Small town prices with big city flavors. Margaritas were great (and we are very picky). Everything was well-seasoned and portions were perfect. No complaints here. Highly recommend if you're passing through.

Love this place! People have always been so wonderful. The TAYLOR TILAPIA is my favorite dish...and the jalapeno ranch salsa is soooo yummy.

My friend Jeanette treated me to lunch at Monarcas based on the very good reviews from other diners. We were not disappointed with our lunch combo meals. Everything was delicious, and the service was speedy and oh so friendly. We plan to return soon.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Had the "Chef's Recommended" and portions were so plentiful that I was stuffed and took some home with me. I'm visiting from out of state and for a Sunday evening it seemed there was a nice steady crowd of friendly local folks. There were 4 of us in my party, and we were all very pleased with the food and service. Nice dining experience with delicious food. Strongly recommend!

We love this place! My wife and sister are here a lot, and have yet to order anything they didn't absolutely love. I'm a fan of the Monarcas nachos, and their margaritas are so good even someone like myself (who doesn't really drink) will enjoy them. Staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is just what we like. Check them out!

I enjoy this place a lot! It's kind of a hodge podge of different cuisine it's not only Mexican food but they have pasta, burgers, and other varieties of food. I absolutely love the salsa variety they bring to the table with the chips. The typical red salsa is present but so is a cream based sauce which tends to have more kick. It's better than our typical dine-in restaurants here in town and I love that uniqueness. The atmosphere here is very quaint and homey. It's an open dinning room with a bar and it just feels like a perfect hole in the wall establishment. 10 out of 10 recommend their Enchiladas honestly any of them are amazing 👏

Food was amazing....the main restaurant in downtown taylor..my husband I definitely recommend and we always come back.

Food was WONDERFUL. The wait was a bit but we both ordered seafood dishes which I feel took longer than traditional Mexican food to make. Well worth the wait!
