For years, this family has run this restaurant excellently, complimenting their delicious dishes with wonderful service, they make you feel as if you’re sitting down at grandmas house for a family meal. The homemade hot sauce made by one of the sons has a delicious flavor with a spice that hits you at the first bite and doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. Was so good I had to take a sample cup home. This was the best diner breakfast that I ever had! The pancakes are fantastic, and they load on/in whatever you want! The eggs and sausage were great. They even put fried onions in our eggs. They doted on us, and refilled our coffee without ever having to ask. Very friendly people! It was so good!

I have been going here for years....we took a break during covid and finally came back and it was just the same!!! House stack!!! And the French toast!! My daughter also enjoyed the eggs.

Been coming here since I was a kid. This is definitely the best breakfast spot in the entire area. Everything is always hot and delicious. Service is always fantastic and their homemade hot sauce is some of the best I’ve ever tried!

Whenever we want some delicious skillet, omelette or your neighborhood diner, Palos Diner is definitely the place to be. We've been coming here for the last 17 years and food has always, I mean always, every single time, delicious. Not once have I gotten anything that isn't good.

Our favorite is the skillet. House skillet, vegetarian skillet, Greek skillet, you name it, it's delicious hahaha 🤣 It comes with pancakes or toasts and I love putting my sunny side up egg on a piece of buttered wheat toast! Yummmmm!!!

I love seeing the kids grow up too where they used to be so little and now in their 20's helping out the family diner. I feel especially close to them like I've witnessed their kids growing up. Everyone is always polite and friendly. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Went here last July. A couple times actually while I was in town. I'm assuming the bad complaints were from Karen's that were upset that people didn't bow in their presence, cause the food is good and definitely inexpensive. And portions sizes, I never finished my food and I eat a lot. Wait staff was courteous, especially waiting on our large group of heathens. Next time in this area, I'll definitely eat here again.

Everything in the menu is tasty and a cut above standard diner fare. Just a few items that stand out are: the chicken soup-very good broth, the fries- not greasy and crisp on the outside, the housestack breakfast-excellent combination of flavors. I also like the fact you can substitute peaches for potatoes for breakfast.

They have perfectly cooked, thin bacon. And the French toast is flavorful, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Oh the coffee is really good too.

Hands down the best chopped steak I have ever had! It was a huge portion of loosely packed chopped beef served in a raised edges baking dish covered in grilled onions. The dish shape allowed for natural baking juices to remain and not slop over the sides. Very well seasoned, great quality chopped beef and perfectly cooked to medium. My wife had the country fried steak covered in home-made sausage gravy - also perfectly prepared and tasty. She was served a square roll on the plate plus a side of mashed potatoes, with sausage gravy, and re-heated corn. My meal came with mashed potatoes and gravy and also the corn. All were good but I don't the potatoes were made on site. But it's a diner and the chopped steak and country fried steak were delicious. Enjoyed rice pudding for dessert. Exceptional service.

The food is really good fresh, friendly service.Price wise not expensive for the quality.Been here a couple times will be coming back.

This diner is a hidden gem in Palos Hills. Family-owned, they go out of there way to know and greet their customers. The menu offers many options and the soups are all great. The specials change daily and taste like a home cooked meal. I have been going here for literally over 10+ years.

BEST FOOD EVER!!!! DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP! Wonderful breakfast, you’ll never go home unhappy or hungry!! The diner is owned by a wonderful family, who’s service is impeccable and always served with a smile! They go out of your way to make sure you have an enjoyable experience! All around amazing food, have never had anything I haven’t enjoyed here. If I could I would give the Palos Diner 20 stars, they are more than amazing! Favorite sit down place to enjoy with friends and family.

I can’t stress how good this place was. Value goes from good to fantastic depending on the item, but everything we had was scrumptious. Will definitely be coming back within the week! Also this place is a Mom and Pop restaurant so please do help them out! Staff was great, the waiter was very kind and calm, friendly towards everyone.

Great little diner! Just recently tried it after years of noticing it while driving. I had the cheeseburger and fries, my sister had the meatloaf dinner. everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Prices are reasonable and great/friendly service. This is just a minute or two from where I live and I'll absolutely be back.
