Jon Boy's Smoke House is Roanoke 's finest! The food is fantastic and reasonable. Catfish, BBQ, Chicken...All Great! Especially love their Crispy Chicken Chef Salad. They have a diverse menu, prices are great !!
Take out and Eat In available. Dining in is cosy with lots of local charm. Take out/Pick Up is always on time! The Best Service and the kindest folks work here. Always a great dining experience.

Very good! Hubs and I were in town doing business on a Monday and we wanted to eat local. It seemed everything was basically closed but the chains. We passed by JB’s and there were a ton of cars so we decided to pull in. Mind you, I am not a BBQ fan, but my husband is. I had the lunch special, hamburger steak, purple hull peas, macaroni salad, fried okra, cornbread and peach cobbler. My husband got a chopped pork plate with all the fixin’s. Everything was delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. You won’t be disappointed.

New to the area and we just found a new favorite spot with Jon Boy's. Great service and everything we ate was delicious. Going back soon!

Good food. Popular place... parking can be a bit if a situation, but lots of tables. Burger, chicken, onion rings are exceptional. Fries are handcut. Corn nuggets really good. As a nonlocal, i did not care for the pulled pork... probably a regional thing. Sauce is good. Sweet tea really good, coke products, big cups.

Amazing food, wonderful service, all at a fantastic price. Wow!

Excellent pork BBQ, sides tasted homemade, service was quick and the waitress was friendly and helpful, this was our first visit. Our kids loved the fried chicken tenders and sweet tea.

Good country cooking. I stopped in to try the BBQ, but noticed great lunch specials. They are more than just a BBQ place.

Amazing food and great, fast service, as usual. Always delicious! Love their fried pickles, corn nuggets, BBQ, shrimp, fish, fries, onion rings, ranch dressing, honey mustard, side salad, burgers, sweet tea, etc. I've been here 10+ times and never have been dissatisfied with the food nor the service. Highly recommend!

Four adults and two adolescents (one of whom can tell they don't like something they've never had before by sight). Orders were Catfish Baskets, ribs and a hamburger for the picky eater. Thumbs up from everyone. Our server was very friendly and prompt. It's small and decorated with lots of antique signs ... a fun little place. Total for all of us was $81 and change ... not bad at all. We'll be back. Thanks for the great service tonight!

I thought I had had barbecue before my visit here, but I was wrong, oh so wrong. The first thing that caught my attention was when stepping out of the car. I smelled the aroma of barbecue that was delightful.

My wife and I each ordered the barbecue plates... it was awesome! The meat was cooked to perfection, the baked beans and Brunswick stew were delicious.

The portions were just right as well, in fact, I couldn't finish my meal but seriously wanted to. I ended up eating the rest the next day for lunch and it was just as good the next day as when I ordered.

I phoned my brother and bragged about how good the meal, the service and the prices were. I had to leave for an out of town business trip soon after but told my brother that when I get back I'm taking him for a treat.

Highly recommend anyone and everyone who happens to be in the Roanoke, AL area and wants some fantastic barbecue, you owe it to yourself to visit... you will not be disappointed.

Small country spot, with big flavor. Everyone that was working, was very friendly. The food was really good. It may take a little bit to get your food, because they are very busy. When I was there, everyone was doing the job of about 3 people each.

Went for lunch, first time ever. My mom had the lunch special hamburger steak, I had the BBQ sandwich combo. If I could break it down I'd give them 4 1/2 stars. They should probably label their BBQ sauces that are on the tables, and is recommend bigger straws because it was slow going on getting fluid through the smaller style of straw. The beef and sauce were both tasty and the fries were home-style with the skin still on them. I'd recommend the lighter more mustard-based sauce as it has a bit more of a kick to it. Little bit of a low-light atmosphere interior but the food was good. My Mom enjoyed her lunch special, the cornbread as well. Would recommend.
