ALWAYS excellent!!! Our "go to" place for girls night out, dinner with friends, or just a night out together. You truly get your money's worth. So much food, I can never eat it all. Excellent food and drinks, and the family who owns it are so personable and nice. Always a great experience. Our personal favorite Mexican cuisine restaurant.

Nice clean restaurant, stopped on a Monday night so it was empty. Took the plunge based on the other reviews and wasn't disappointed. Had the fajita burrito and it was delicious. Service was fantastic and my meal was ready super fast.

Awesome food on our way through Illinois. Seemed like the best place to stop at 8pm. I still have 4.5 hours to get home… this was awesome. Thanks. Looked clean and felt clean.

This is our favorite place to enjoy Mexican food ,of all the places we have tried we say this is the best. The atmosphere of the inside is wonderful,,the service is great as they make you feel right at home . And the food is very good and big portions. I try to have something different from the menu each time,have not been let down yet. Would and will recommend this restaurant to everyone. Lunch daily 11AM to 3 PM prices are really reasonable.

This is a great Mexican restaurant in Salem, Illinois. Convenient location just off interstate 57 if you are tired of fast food on a road trip! The staff is extremely friendly, the ambience is very warm and festively decorated, extremely clean. Lobster quesadilla was one of the most delicious things Ive ever eaten. Be sure to get a side of beans because their beans are amazing! Also recommend the enchiladas cocina.

1st time visit! Excellent staff. Food was great! Chimichanga with ground beef and rice. House Margaritas were awesome as well! Definitely recommend and will be back!

Never a bad experience here ! Super nice staff and great food. It was my daughter's birthday and the waiter gave her a beautifully made fried ice cream ! Food awesome as always ! Wish I could show the pictures!!

Food was excellent. You can tell it was all fresh ingredients. Service was great as well.

Our server did a very good job of keeping track of who ordered what, which doesn't happen often considering our group is usually about 7-12 people. Really great food, decent prices and pretty good service. Overall, a great experience.

This place is family owned. Wonderful people. They work hard. Since they are Hispanic the food is original. The margaritas are great. I can't say enough about this place if you are in Salem Illinois make sure you stop right off l-57.

The create combinations of things that normally I wouldn't try together. And they make it work.

My husband and I shared chicken fajitas, got extra shells, queso, and one soda. Less than $20. Delicious. Fresh tasting. Great service. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend La Cocina Mexicana. The atmosphere, good food and staff led to our great dining experience. The food was served hot and stayed that way throughout the meal. The flavors were outstanding and blended well. We will definitely be going back again.
