I am very pleased with the process and my outcome. Staff were always friendly and very professional. Thank you all for a great experience. My teeth are back to the way I wanted them to be. Would highly recommend Smile Doctors to anyone needing orthodontic care.

We started many many years ago with Kevin Cook Orthodontics. We followed from the old building to the new building; from the change/addition of Smile Doctors to the front of the name. Through three young children with our oldest two being young adults now; one with her own children. From the first consultation appointment it felt like we were in the presence of family. You feel like this from the time you enter the office. You’re greeted very genuinely and professionally. The waiting area is extremely complimentary. The finance department has always explained everything and isn’t one size fit all. The team has a very individualized approach to getting your/your loved one’s needs met. The hygienist, assistants, and providers are always very knowledgeable, passionate, instructive, and direct in communicating progress and what needs to be done. The life changing smile to be achieved takes work. They never sugar coated in the visits the work the patients needed to put in. There were many rewards for consistency and fun in the process as well. Many competitions, parties, raffles, gifts, acknowledgements etc. There was empowerment and autonomy established in these children that plays a role in preparing for future experiences in every visit. When my children could drive I appreciated that I could trust them being there without me. I knew that whether there or not; I would be communicated with if need be. More importantly, everything would be okay. If I ever had any concerns I felt comfortable in sharing and there was always follow-up. The accountability in the practice showed how much they truly cared. The referral/doctor to doctor process was always very professional and smooth. Dr. Cook, without any thought, would make the phone call to our primary dentist. No one there was ever too good for a task. The check out process was always efficient and smooth. No one ever minded printing a school/work note; or made the interaction unpleasant. Again, from start to finish each visit was like checking in with family.
We recently attended after quite some time for retainer replacement. Everyone still was beyond amazing! My son went by himself and over the phone the financial process was taken care of, the provider discussed the plan with him and then with me, he made his own follow-up appointment; everything from start to finish was efficient and simply perfect. The trust established from many years ago, still meaningful and beneficial.
Christi Deaton simply went the extra mile in making sure our needs were met during a pivotal time. The return to the office was like old-time with family. Reminiscing about the growth of who she met as children but now young adults. Sharing photos of the amazing grandchildren. Full circle of not only the practice giving a life-changing smile but making a difference in our family’s life.
Truly the way it should be in healthcare as I have referred many because of this; and we won’t think twice about where our grandchildren will get their orthodontic care.

My son absolutely loves each time that he goes to the orthodontist because the people there are so friendly and nice and the doctors take the time to tell both of us how he’s doing and what the plan is. All the technicians are very patient, kind and gentle with him and always make sure that nothing bothers him before he leaves.

Today we met Dr. Larson. This is the 3rd Dr since we began. No notification AGAIN 2nd time new doctor BUT 3rd time is a charm!!❤ Dr Larson spent more time with my daughter in 1 appointment than the other 2 in a year! Our assistant is 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤AMAZING!! We love her!! We weren’t sure our progress was where it should be BUT after today’s experience we are looking forward to the next appointment ❤🙏🏼

I had heard VERY good things about KCO, so I chose to take my 9 year old there for her braces. We went in for a FREE consultation (xrays, pictures, etc.) and the entire process was smooth. Everybody in that building are the sweetest people. They were patient with my daughter, explained things to her, answered her many questions, and mine. My daughter was very scared and worried about getting braces so they made the whole process easy. When they asked when we wanted to get braces I said ASAP. So, they put them on that day. The process took about 20 minutes. They put her brackets on and she didn't even realize that's what they were doing. They helped her pick out colors for her bands and gave suggestions. I cannot say enough about it. My daughter was TERRIFIED. Now, she's just proud and excited as can be! She even wore her KCO tee to school the next day with her new braces. In house financing with no interest has made this process affordable for our family and stress free.

I would recommend Dr. Cook's office to anyone I know in the Carbondale/Marion area. Dr. Cook, the assistants, and the receptionists are always so polite and helpful with any issues I have. Dr. Cook always made sure I left with no questions and would answers any questions I had (dumb or not- mostly dumb). I was given an estimate of 18-24 months on my braces and I got them off in 18 months. Any issues I had with poking wires/broken brackets they were able to get me in either same day or within a few. The payment plan option was a life saver, it made my decision to get braces that much easier. The Carbondale and Marion offices are very comfortable, clean, and well maintained.

Best orthodontist ever!!! Staff is always very friendly, accommodating, professional, stays up on follow up appointments. I brought my son in to have his teeth corrected a few years ago, now my daughter is old enough and got her first phase of braces put on yesterday. Highly recommend Kevin Cook, Smile Doctors!!!

Since day one, Dr. Cook and his staff have been amazing! The consultation was so informative. The day my daughter got her braces, they made it fun and exciting and complimented her on how good they looked. At every check up the staff was supportive and super friendly. My daughter left today with her braces off and was thrilled with her new smile. She's even more confident, if that's possible, and plans on smiling more with her teeth. Thank you to Dr. Cook and his staff more making this an easy, affordable and great experience.

Everyone is so nice! Jaden did a wonderful job getting my Invisalign all set up. My son and I both are patients and we have been very pleased! Thank you again!

Dr. Cook is wonderful. My daughter got braces just under a year and a half ago and just got them off this week. He has always been so nice and made sure he explained everything to her and I and what we each should be doing to make having braces as easy as possible. We love the gals at the front desk and the other ladies we see at each appointment.

What a great experience we have had each visit thus far. Kevin Cooks Orthodontics staff has been great with explaining everything to us. When we walk in, we are greeted with a smile and we always are acknowledged.
Each element we have experienced from the consultation to getting the braces on has been a great one. Dr. Cook took time to talk with me about the adjustment of getting the full set of braces on my daughter. EXCELLENT place and filled with caring staff members. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Great experience! The staff has always been exceptional and nice. Very helpful when scheduling appointments and willing to work with our schedule. The financial aspect was great as well, making it affordable for everyone. The technicians always made my daughter feel at ease when getting her braces adjusted. Smile Doctors made my son's "first day of braces" so great! The staff was friendly, our appointment was on time, and they explained every step thoroughly so he was very comfortable. I have 2 children that have braces with Dr. Cook and they are looking fantastic! The difference from when they started to present is mind boggling!!! I am so glad that we came to Dr. Cooks office! My daughter had had braces before by another orthodontist and we were not so please with the services or outcome of her teeth like we thought we would be. She later had 6 wisdom teeth that had to be removed and shifted teeth and we had to go back through the braces experience again. We chose Kevin Cook Orthodontics this time around and we couldn't be more pleased with the out come! So kind compared to other orthodontists in our area and its so fun to be around him and his employees! They make you feel right at home! The payment system they have is great and they work with many people to help them afford the teeth they've always dreamed about! So happy to have had such a pleasant experience and so happy my daughter finally loves her teeth! Thank you so much!

Dr. Cook and his staff are always very patient and helpful people when I have my appointments. They always keep you in the know and make sure you are comfortable with what they are doing to get the best result possible. I just got my braces off for the second time and they were just as helpful as the first time I had braces. I would recommend them to anyone looking for the best smile!

I am amazed by the quality of customer service provided to us. My daughter had her initial consultation in October and was advised to see a dentist for fillings and routine care before we started her braces. Due to COVID, we had to wait several months just to get in to see a dentist. Melissa at Smile Doctors followed up with me periodically about my daughters pending dentist appointments and just to check in on where we were at with her treatment. What I appreciated most from that is that those follow ups were a simple text. Something that I could respond to throughout the day that didn’t interfere with my work schedule. Once my daughter was cleared to begin orthodontic treatment I text Melissa and she had us scheduled to begin treatment that same week. What I liked most about our experience was the overall sense of compassion and care from the staff. You weren’t just another patient in a busy office. Melissa even went out of her way to text me later that evening following up to see how my daughter was feeling after getting her braces put on that day. I am beyond impressed with the Smile Doctors compassionate staff.
