I haven't been here in some time. And I must admit they are much better than I remember. I am a true advocate of a single slice and a meatball sandwich. I have to say, this establishment will not disappoint. Original post 8 months ago. Now closed presumably due to covid19 shutdown. Hope they come back.

Had a splendid lunch enjoying arancini (rice ball) filled with meat, peas, and cheese. Wow, I was blown away! So crispy and savory! The welcoming atmosphere made it feel like how. Highly recommend to stop in to see Damiano and his kind staff/family.

The best place for panzerotti outside Italy. My salad was very fresh with mouth watering feta cheese. Very reasonably price a d great service. My husband and I drive quite a long distance to just get their delicious food.

Il Romano has great food, is affordable, and has a very nice out door area. The food at Il Romano blew me away (I had an Spinach and Ricotta Arancini and a Sausage Panzerotti). Both are phenomenal. The service is good too! You are greeted very warmly by whoever is behind the counter. I am definitely coming back to try more of the menu out!

If you like to experience authentic southern Italian cuisine this is the place. You will be wowed by the experience your taste buds will feel. You will definitely want to go back...Too bad they only have one location. But it is well worth the trip... I heard they were on chicagos best tv show for their famous meatballs as well as the panzarotti and arancini. go, go now what are you waiting for...

Update! PSA! This place closes for most holidays. Wouldn't be bad thing as long as they would not tell you that they are going to be open when you call on Monday and you drive 45 minutes for father's day and a birthday special dinner just to have a sign in the door telling you otherwise.

Ammmmmmaaaazing! The Panzzerotti is light and fluffy the flavors are so good. The seafood salad is the best I have ever had. The staff is super friendly and treat you like family. We will be back.

Superb. This is not only a pizza place but they do serve a rather large menu. Probably the best marinara I've ever had. Small family run place clean and very friendly. Try the aramcimi and panzerotte

Great food, with really reasonable prices. Cash only. The Focaccia are really tasty and warmed up in the oven are a great snack. The eggplant parmigiana sandwich is also an amazingly good sandwich for the price. Highly recommended.

I can say it is one of the best Italian restaurants in town and my favourite place for pizza. Real pizza with fresh mushrooms, peperoni and cheese. I usually hate tomato sauce on a pizza because it tastes like laundry detergent with tomatos (not that I tried laundry detergent but I assume it may taste like this). Romano's tomato sauce is real - tastes like tomatos
and smells delicious. I love this place and recommend it to everyone.

I had the eggplant sandwich and it was really good. Very generous portion. Their new location is very nice and they had tables set up outside. Good Italian food!

Recently did two catering events with them. Isabelle was very helpful from planning to execution to making right a mistake that was made during the first event. The price was great and the food was even better. Would be nice if the took credit or debit, but regardless I will return soon!

Regarding the comment from Mr. Forster about putting the pizza spatula on the floor, that is not true. It LOOKS like that is what they are doing because of where the holder is, but maybe if you physically looked behind the counter you would see that it is just not true. Next time you make a comment, especially a negative review, be sure it is based on FACT.

We Ordered 350 mini panzerotti for our daughter’s wedding. It was over 45 minutes away from Romano’s! Not only did Damiano take the order, he made sure everything was perfect. He sent a terrific delivery man who was super polite and very pleasant. This was a huge hit at the wedding at 9:30p for “Venetian Hour”. Also the price was reasonable. This a wonderful family business. The arancini are also delicious!

Don't judge this place by it's exterior. It has great Italian quick dishes. Consider them for catering to your party. They do have outdoor seating. Try their meat peas and cheese aranachi, they are quite a size.

As a customer for the past few years, Romano's has been my favorite location for Italian food. Prices are reasonable and food is amazing! I miss the old location where Katz's Gyros is currently. The must tries are the Italian ice, Sicilian pizza, arancini, and my favorite being the artichoke focaccia.

This place is the best! It is great home made Italian food for a great price. I come here for a quick bite all the time and cannot get enough of their panzarotti's!

Great tasting food at a price that won't break the bank. Definitely the best place around. Small seating area so call ahead if you're in a big group!

Amazing Italian food at low prices made to go or dine in. Love this small place. The staff is friendly and treats you great. Try the Arancini or the panzerottis. Wow. Everything is made fresh there too!
