Today was my first time meeting Gene and he is one amazing person!!!!! And he done my hair today for the first time and he brought me back to life!!! His work is simply the best and from today on I will never go anywhere else but to Gene!!! Thank you Gene you are the best!!!

Gene is the best! Never on whole my life I was so happy with my hair! He is not your hairstylist, he is a friend and even if I will move out of Grand Rapids I will not let anyone touch my hair without talk to Gene first and he can gives the right instructions 😊. Wish you the best Gene!

Gene is awesome. Found my new Salon. Highly recommend. Took my daughter there to get her hair dyed and all I can say is Gene did a fantastic job. Should have gone here for my hair cut.

I am EXTREMELY picky about stylists, and Gene knocks it out of the park every time I see him. It is so rare for me to feel comfortable trying new things with my hair, but not with Gene! I trust him implicitly at every visit. I will never visit anyone else as long as I am in GR!

He's the best. I didn't even bring a picture in or anything, I was just like "can you make this better?" Then he gave me the best haircut of my life that's easy wash and go and looks perfect as it grows out. He's swift and great for chitchat, so easy.

Gene is AMAZING!! Came in 7 months ago because of the reviews and will never go anywhere else in Grand Rapids. 10/10 would recommend:)

I have been going to The Edge for one year now. I have my hair cut and colored every 6 weeks.
My experiences @ The Edge are the BEST I've ever had. The Salon is immaculate, stylish and fun. Laura and Gene are professional, talented and very caring. The Client's they have are diverse, people who really care about their appearances. I don't have the nicest hair but with Laura doing my hair I feel the prettiest I've ever looked. I feel BLESSED and LUCKY to have discovered The Edge and I drive all the way from Big Rapids. It's well worth it. Thank You Gene and Laura for all you do.

I LOVE the Edge. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Laura has cut my hair for several years, she is so accommodating and professional. I have never had a bad haircut from Laura. Gene is the owner and takes the time to know not only his clients but everyone who comes into the salon. The Edge is a great Salon!

Let's get real. Gene is the best, period! He styles for multiple family members and without fail, it's always a homerun.
I give very little direction and LOVE that Gene always finds something amazing to do with my hair.

I absolutely love the Edge!! Lauralee is the BEST. I have been coming to the Salon for years. I love that its a family atmosphere and Gene and the staff are great at what they do. Healthy natural hair care is promoted there. I will NEVER let anyone but her cut , trim, dye or lay to the side☺even if its months before the next appt. She works her magic and has a woman looking good every time!

She's amazing at her profession.

Absolutely love The Edge Salon! The cosmetologist are extremely knowledgeable about the latest trends in color techniques, cuts, and extensions. They come with years of experience and professionalism. The salon is modern yet classy and they always provide refreshments. The Edge has a wide variety of professional products including Aveda!! When I moved out of state I made special trips to GR for my hair appointment at The Edge. I've recommended this place to my friends of different ethnicities and hair types who always call me to praise the work done by these professional! Love The Edge!!

Great salon. The stylists there are personable and fun to be around. I asked for an all over chocolate brown with the roots being slightly darker to add dimension. I got exactly what i asked for plus great scalp massage and conversation. While I was waiting for my hair to process there was coffee and tea and little snacks for me to enjoy. The nail stylist let me poke around at her colors and designs so I can find what I like for my next visit. Love this place and I am rescheduling my next appointment right now.

Gene is amazing.. took a bad haircut from another salon. And made it right.He took his time explaining everything along the way. I will definitely be returning.

I’ve been going here for the past four years and absolutely recommend. LauraLee does a fantastic job! Over the years I’ve tried many different colors and styles and I’ve been so happy with the way they’ve all turned out. My hair takes hours and she’s had to stay late in order to finish a few times, but she never complains. Also her scalp massage is 👌🏻Don’t know why there are any bad reviews on here.

Love this salon! The location is great because it's right off the highway. The building is a beautiful historical house. The environment is super welcoming, with snacks, water, and holiday decorations. The best part is the stylists have TALENT!! Thank you Gene!

I found the edge on google last year and gave it a try. Laura Lee took my hair from dark brown to a medium blonde. I was in her chair for 6 hours and she didn't complain once. The owner is very nice, he stayed and talked to me in between clients. They also stayed a couple hours past closing time to finish my hair. I decided to try out wigs recently and had to go in to cut my hair because of how unhealthy it was and she did a phenomenal job, and the nail technician came over and said if I ever needed help applying the wigs to stop in and she would love to help me. I receive the best service here and I will always be client. Mostly because Laura lee listens to me vent about life for hours 😂 They did have a rude receptionist but the last time I went in, she wasn't there so I have zero complaints now!

I love this salon! Wonderful atmosphere and everyone is super friendly, caring and talented! I always feel great when I leave. They always provide nice refreshments for those extra long appointments, too. Each visit is always looked forward to and I will continue to visit this salon for years to come!
