Without doubt the best salon and medi spa in Grand Rapids! My wife and I have been coming here for years and see the owner, Lis, who is super down to earth, friendly, and amazing at everything she does. Their new location is astonishing! We will be coming here for years to come and would highly recommend to anyone looking for anything from a high quality hair cut for men or women, laser hair removal, microneedling to Botox injections, EmSculpt, and more!

Lisa was fabulous I have been coming here for almost 2 years now getting facials done by her and it has completely changed my skin. She helps formulate a plan that suits you for your skin and lifestyle regimen.

I recently got my eyebrows microbladed and am so happy with the result. Maddie was amazing, and I would highly recommend. The new salon location is going to be so nice and I can't wait for my next visit.

I am absolutely shook. I had a prior terrible experience AT A DIFFERENT SALON that resulted in chemical burns to my scalp and an equally unsatisfying color (reference pictures for brassy, banded proof) so I was extremely anxious and reluctant to color my hair again. However, my hair was in complete shambles so had little choice but to take a friend's recommendation and trial Chasing Vanity. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Peyton is phenomenal. I had so much fun in her chair, and she took the time to really listen to my (overly detailed) requests and ideas. The final product is a perfect, ashy blonde; she blended my prior color seamlessly to transition to my natural root (see after photo for reference). I have definitely found my permanent hair stylist & will be coming back to Peyton every time. The prices are very reasonable ($110 for full highlight, cut & style in around 3 hours) and worth every penny. 10/10 would recommend; ask for Peyton. She is the absolute best.

Monique was incredibly funny, the perfect amount of talkative and just made it easy for me. I was comfortable and confident in her ability to give me what I wanted. Never change YOURE amazing!
The salon is clean and the staff are always so nice and helpful. Last time I went I didn’t leave a review because I wasn’t completely satisfied. The stylist didn’t give me what I really wanted and seemed afraid to put chemical in my hair because I box dyed previously. Not this time!! She nailed my hair goals, expressed how excited she was to do it and talked me through each step so I was clued in each time. It cost less this time and was a way better experience. Highly recommend!! Find out what level your hairstylist is before going - the higher the better in my opinion. I thought it was going to be more expensive simply because A) she was a higher level artist than the last. B) the last one wasn’t cheap at all. But, as I’ve said it was less than what I was quoted. I am super excited to say that I’ve found my hair a home and a hairstylist that I love! Awesome awesome job. I really can’t express enough how happy I am today.

**Disclaimer: my before color was not done with this salon. I did it at home and this is the result after about 5 months. The previous stylist wasn’t terrible or bad. I rocked my hair for a long time after and didn’t publicly complain. It just wasn’t what I asked for and she came off new and afraid.**

I love this salon!! The staff is all so welcoming and kind! My stylist, Haley is not only an amazing person but she SLAYS my hair every time!! I wanted to go for a big color change and she talked me through and explained everything! My hair looks amazing!!! I highly recommend this salon and I HIGHLY recommend you choose Haley as your stylist!!

I've been seeing Elisabeth as my hair stylist for, quite literally, as long as I can remember...even before Chasing Vanity was Chasing Vanity! I'm so glad she got to open her own place because she has always been an extremely talented and professional stylist. I've gone in for color with Jailyn as well and she is AMAZING. Everyone on the team there are so passionate about having happy clients walk out the having them look incredible, it's impossible to leave unhappy. Every single employee there seems to love what they do and it shows in their work. Great place all around.

I’ve struggled for years to find a stylist who understands how to maintain my curly hair, so i avoided salons altogether. Haley completely changed my attitude. She alleviated my fears by listening to my concerns and educating me on how to keep my hair healthy outside the salon. She has given me a perfect cut every time. I wouldn’t go to anyone else!

Gabriella Vitale cuts and styles the most beautiful hair. I see her post on Instagram and the women’s hair looks fabulous. I wish I could be a women sometimes with how well she styles. Ugh just gorgeous. She has cut my hair personally about 5 times and she knows her way around a man’s head too. I come out feeling more fabulous than ever and looking sharper than a bag of wet spaghetti on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Gabriella is personable and can make great conversation. This one time we were talking about wrasling gators in the deep swamps of southern Florida and she told the funniest joke. I was laughing all the way home while looking at my perfect movie star hair cut. Ah man good times. Anyway Gabriella Vitale is great. Definitely would recommend! 5 stars!

A year ago I was visiting Michigan for my brother’s wedding and went to see Tristen entirely based on Google reviews, since I didn’t know the area. I have thick, long hair, and many an updo has been botched by professionals on me, so I was a little nervous.
First off, when I arrived, a homeless woman in distress came in, ran past the front desk and grabbed a pair of shears, exclaiming that she was going to cut all her hair off. She ran into the back of the salon and continue to yell threatening things. The deftness with which the staff here, especially the front desk attendant, dealt calmly and kindly with this woman and de-escalated her, offering her an actual haircut and calming her down enough to remove the shears and seat her in the waiting area was simply stunning. They kept their customers safe, called the appropriate authorities, and brought peace to an otherwise chaotic situation. I say all this (true story!) to point out that since they treated her with dignity, respect, and value, you can be sure you will be treated with the utmost care and concern at Chasing Vanity as a customer.
After the initial shock of the incident, Tristen (who had lost some time because of what happened) quickly and skillfully did exactly what I wanted for my updo, even shaping it up a bit and finishing right on time. I could not be happier with the result. The products she used allowed my hair to stay all day, and the curls did not fall out. She listened to me about the thickness of my hair, and I felt like she was focused, professional, and expert at her craft.
The highest compliment I can pay is that I wish I lived close enough to come here regularly. It’s so hard to find a hair salon you can trust, but I recommend Chasing Vanity wholeheartedly and am still so grateful for the service I received here!

I worked with Chasing Vanity for my wedding and they were so organized and efficient! My girls loved their hair and make up and everyone looked beautiful. If I was getting married again I would absolutely book through them again! The staff was amazing to work with and very accommodating to what the girls were looking for for their hair and makeup!
