GRNoir Wine & Jazz

Great place, and the owner is very involved in the operation. The band we saw was a talented group of musicians. Check the website for dates and make reservations. Last minute night out might not work. Seating is always near full.

This is one of my favorite spots in GR! The wine selection is great and the small plates are really good with a lot of attention to detail. My favorites are the chicken and waffles and the sliders. If you do not drink wine they have lovely Moscato to choose from. The staff is very friendly and the music (live bands and/or DJ Martin) creates am atmosphere you just want to be in.

Food and service were fantastic. Owner was very accommodating and friendly. Music was phenomenal. Shout out to Sabrina and the Danny Richardson quartet! Absolutely first class. Looking forward to seeing you in Detroit!

Love the vibes here! I tried the Black Magic wine flight and enjoyed every one of the tastings. From the menu we sampled the Brussel Sprouts and the Chicken & Waffles - both were fantastic! Be sure to make a reservation a few days ahead of time if you want to catch the live music!

Great food! Great wine variety! Loved the music and atmosphere. I even wanted to buy a t-shirt, but they didn’t have my size. The owner mailed it to me personally after new inventory came in even states away!

Absolutely fabulous! I love the atmosphere, decorations, and the staff. While I didn't get to experience any live music I enjoyed the relaxing setting, the wine and food. I will definitely be back!

I'm glad they had a great selection of organic wine with plenty to choose from that aren't packed full of preservatives!

Celebrated my 75 year old Mom’s birthday here and it was spectacular! Had the charcuterie board and the Brussels sprouts and a flight and a glass of the Love Drunk wine. Jazz band was phenomenal and we had a great time, just ended too soon! Will be back again. Definitely a classy jazz club with a royal ambiance! Thanks to all at GR Noir for making it a memorable occasion.

We went for the live Jazz, the food and wine were great. The atmosphere was a bit different from most live jazz we’ve been to, most people were talking instead of listening to the music, but that might have been a fluke for the night.

Came here as a treat on my husband’s birthday. The service was top notch & the wine was delicious. The Danny Richardson Trio gave a stellar performance that my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone should experience GRnoir at least once!

It was definitely satisfying! The customer service was great, the food was delicious, the live DJ was the bomb! If you haven't visited yet your definitely missing out on a sophisticated, laid back, treat!

It was an experience! Something GR has needed for some time. A place to go, unwind, relax, listen to some smooth jazz while allowing your taste buds to be WOW'd! The food was delicious and wine was magnificent!

So, after Covid-19 in 2019 I finally visited in person (The first round of pics during covid). After visiting the live music and getting a flight ( pics 4&5)… it’s definitely a favorite! Very intimate setting. Especially if you’re trying to Bruno Mars or Brian McKnight her 😉!

What a nice space! The atmosphere was chill, laid back, and upscale, and the service was top notch! We were recommended many great wines to pair with our plates, and the food was on the same high level as the wine. The brisket sliders were moist and flavorful. We will be back for live music Wednesday and Saturday nights, and hopefully some poetry in the future!

The hubs and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening out at this up and coming unique establishment. The ambience is super smooth and sexy! We ordered several glasses of wine and a few of the apps while listening to live jazz on Saturday evening. The service, food, drinks, music, and vibes were so good! We will definitely be coming back!

This was my first time here and it was fantastic! I was there with a group of friends. The atmosphere, the service, the food, and of course the music--it was all quality. Our server, also named Tiana (sp?), was attentive and friendly.

The wine selection ranges from reds to whites to sparkling to rose'. They have wine available by the glass, wine flights, and the bottle. I enjoyed a sparkling Moscato.

The food menu has a good selection of small plate options from shrimp to bruschetta to charcuterie boards. We ordered the large charcuterie board and the bruschetta. Perfect for our group of five! One of our party ordered the Jazzy Shrimp and the portion was definitely shareable.

We weren't able to hear the live music as our reservations were at 5:45pm and the band came on at 7:30pm. Currently there is a 75 minute time limit. Reservations are needed and can be made through their website. I will definitely be back to enjoy this little piece of heaven and support this black-owned business. ❤

Such an AMAZING experience. The wine flight was the best I've ever had and the service was fantastic. Of course the jazz was top notch as well!

We went for my husband's bday! The staff were really nice! This is basically a winery/lounge which is Very cool. The jazz band on 8/27 was awesome. Make sure you look for parking at least 20-30 mins before. Once u get in, there are beautiful people everywhere. It's Black owned, which I love! The crowd was mixed. People dressed casual, a few dressed down and some dressed up. Basically wear what you want but this is a sophisticated place, so be decent at least. And have fun! Great job GRNOIR!!

I'm never dissappoibted with GR Noir (except I didn't care too much for the chocolate cake. You could tell it was just taken out of the freezer and it was difficult to cut through.) It is clear GR Noir is very intentional with wine selections and wine makers and they havent made a wrong move yet. We've bought a couple of bottles from them ready because they were that good. The first Thursday of each month is Spoken Word night. If you haven't been to a spoken word yet, I highly recommend going to GR Noir for one. The ambiance is impeccable - they really know how to set the mood for the occasion.
Tones, the main speaker, on October 6th, could somehow completely captivate a person every time he spoke. He's there most Spoken Word nights so make a reservation, grab some wine, a bite to eat and enjoy the entertainment selected for you that night!

Yes! An enthusiastic yes. Come here for a nice selection. 3 pour sizes so it's a great place to stop and try, do your own or one of their recommended flights. Plenty of street parking and a garage nearby. Live jazz some evenings so check out who and when before you come.
