Kelly Lake Park

I decided to check this lovely place out for the 1st time.. and I will definitely be back, because It was such a beautiful walk around the lake! Being out in nature makes everything better!

A Really beautiful relaxing walk. Its very clean here so casual and chill.

It’s kinda surprising to me that my visit was the first time I’ve ever been to Kelly Lake. Overall it’s a nice, quiet little park with a couple of pavilions if you want a family get-together or kids birthday party. The walking trail is very short and typical of what you’d see on a trail in Mid-Michigan, some tree, a lake and a little bit of nature. The trail starts near the parking area and goes down to Genesee Rd, near the I-69 bridge and Genesee Christian Elementary School. On the other end, a wooden walkway goes over the lake/marsh and gives you the most scenic view in the park imo. There is a path on the other side of the lake that gives you nice views as you walk under the trees and is clearly taken care of, but it isn’t paved and you will have to watch you head for tree limbs. Overall it’s a nice little serene park that I enjoyed.

Family friendly place! Perfect for gatherings or just a quiet spot to take your mind off things!

So beautiful and pieceful. I love going there when im depressed and i feed the birds. Feel like nothing matters. Its a great place. Just please put trash in its place.

The park was so peaceful the restrooms were clean the children even rolled from the top of the hill down they had a ball

Great place to relax n not to crowded.Plenty of places to park .I seen a few ppl fishing as well...has pavilion for shade it ya get to hot.

It is a nice clean serene spot with a short path for walking or biking. It is peaceful. It has a nice wooden boardwalk going over the water and a few benches at strategic spots. There is a good chance of seeing a variety of wildlife. It is next to the highway, so you have noise from passing cars and trucks, but that is the only negative.

Love it... take my dogs there all the time...

Sledding with the kids was super fun here. The hill isn't HUGE, but it's not small either. It was not too crowded either

Nice little hidden park in Burton. I've seen it from I-69 and decided to stop today to eat my lunch.

Clean and well maintained. It has a couple of pavilions with picnic tables.

I'll likely come by again!

It's a beautiful lake to go fishing before a walk or just sit and check out the water. Very quiet place to clear your thoughts

This place has made several improvements as well and has gained a lot of popularity amongst people who live in Burton and flint and Grand Blanc. If you like fishing they've made a long fishing dock that goes from one end all the way to the expressway a very nice dock to say the least, it's also a good swimming hole you just have to look at the sign and make sure that the e-coli levels aren't too high for swimming. I go there in the morning just to relax as it's so Serene so beautiful so quiet and the local law enforcement in Burton goes there all the time to make sure that there are no violations her drug users are people who are just going there to destroy property so they're they're vigilant which I like the ads off to the Burton Police Department for monitoring that place it's a treasure if it weren't for them it would be already ruined it's a nice place for a birthday parties, graduations open houses, retirement parties, or just having a nice grill out with the family.

Great place local and cheap. Got grills and porta potty s there. Benches and a pavilion when the weather breaks it's a quick get the hell out the house for free place and room for the kids to run. And they have a speeding hill

It's been fixed and cleaned again, and the lake once again stands proudly as a natural spot in Burton. The waters still not safe, but it's okay, it's beautiful enough as it is.

This park is well maintained. It has paved paths lined with benches along the lake. There were public bathrooms and a pavilion with lots of picnic tables. I will be back for walks and maybe even a picnic!
