Plastic Surgery at Muskegon Surgical Associates

My experience with Dr Thayer was great. Unfortunately my surgery was scheduled a few days before Covid hit, so all my follow up appointments were masked and things were a little stressed due everything going on. Muskegon Surgical and the Staff were professional and made me feel comfortable at every step of the process. My results are great and I am so happy with my results.

I went to Dr. Ter Louw for a simple cyst removal. I went in for the consultation and had the surgery all in about an hour or less. I didn’t feel any pain during the operation or during the recovery (it did get itchy as it healed though). I specifically went to plastic to reduce the scarring, and am glad I did - he sewed me up tight and the scar doesn’t look too bad. I’d recommend him to anyone.

My review is for massage services: I’ve been receiving massages by Nicki M. for a while and I love love love her. She is very personable and I love her vibe! She is so down to earth and follows whatever mood I’m feeling during my massage. If I’m talkative, she will talk. If I’m quiet, she will be quiet. Her technique never wavers no matter if she is talking or laughing. I can’t wait to schedule my next appointment!

I am beyond happy with my lip fillers. I can't recommend Liz enough!!! She is just a doll to work with and she did such a good job that I barely bruised at all! So happy!!!!

Dr Thayer was Rough and Cold at my recent visit. My very first visit She Seemed to be more Empathetic and Caring. Was a Weird experience.

I made an appointment for a consultation with Karen to see if I was a candidate for skin removal (Panni) with my insurance. Karen was a sweetheart and seemed to think I was a good candidate, but she did say insurance can be tricky, but not to worry we can resubmit as many times as needed. Well. Angela (office person who submits?) Apparently is smarter than Karen because without meeting me decided I'm not a good candidate and don't meet criteria and decided not to submit to insurance. MY INSURANCE DIDN'T DENY ME, ANGELA DID. I'm not sure why the office is wasting Karen's time, or anyone's, when they have God... I mean Angela, working in that office to decide everything. Go elsewhere, save your time and embarrassment of putting on paper under garments.

I had an appointment to have the Dr look at a couple spots on my face that i thought might be skin cancer. He suggested a cream that I would apply on my face 2x a day for 2 weeks & he said it would kill any skin cancer I might have & it would just die & flake off. After I got home & started reading the side effects I was VERY worried. I feel he did not explain this cream very well AT ALL & that I was misled. Had I known more about it, I probably wouldn't have taken it. He never mentioned that it was a CHEMO cream & that there were a ton of side effects associated with it. My vision was affected, my skin was raw & burning & i was more fatigued.
