Chippewa National Forest Onegume Campground

We camped in site 45 with a 26' trailer. It was easy to back into. Plenty of sunny spots and plenty of shaded area. There are probably two spots to hang a hammock if you want to do that. The campground is very quiet and peaceful with lots of birds and chipmunks.

Beautiful. My only complaint is how loud the traffic is on the main road but what can you do.

Awesome rustic campground. If you get one of the sites against the water it's just like having your own lake cabin for the weekend. the other sites are good too, among some older white and red pine trees.

Nice woodsy plots for a large tent or RV Some are lakefront. Electric outlets at each site and ice cold well water. Camp host rick and his family were comforting and helpful. Good access to little cutfoot Sioux lake, with a fishing pier, small beach, and spots to
park some boats.

Campground itself was awesome. Amazing sites with privacy and electricity. The lake was perfect for swimming, and we even did cannon balls off of the fishing dock (highly recommend) 👌🏼 Only thing is the host had a biiiig Trump flag... not the most welcoming thing to see in these times.

Somewhat busy camp area but still a great wilderness xperience.
The Simpson Creek Trail across the highway bridge is an xcellent hike through the forest (and bog) and could be bikable if you are in good bike shape.

This is a hidden gem for camping and getting away from lifes worries. Mr. Denny is a fantastic host and ensures your stay will be enjoyable. Grounds are well kept and maintained.

Incredible camping spots here. Bonus is having electric hook ups too! Trails to hike, fishing for fisherman, park setting for kids. Highly recommend this campground. Campground host is very friendly and helpful.

First time at a national forest and I really enjoyed it! RV sites were clean and big enough for our camper and more!

Fantastic week long experience with YMCA Camp Kitaki. Beautiful park nothing like I'd seen before. Ranger stations are nice, and the people around are lovely.
