Second year in a row ice fishing with a big group of guys. Just an easy laid back place. One of my guys did the checkin for both cabins, and it's really hassle free. Nice rooms, clean, comfy. A giveaway that they really pay attention to detail is that both fridges were immaculate, and the bathrooms sparkling. Really not much for amenities, but frankly we were a bunch of 50+ year olds there to drink and icefish. A sauna would be a great addition, but we kept ourselves plenty busy. The view of the lake from the cabins is awesome. The lake is huge, and the location gives a great vantage point of the longest width of the lake. To top it off, I realized that I had left something behind after I arrived home, and they were so helpful in getting it back. I shouldn't really say too much, since we're going back next year. I wouldn't want to have it sold out before we get a chance to book!

Nice resort, cabin 11 was big and very nice. My only thing was there is no TV and with 8 guys wanting to watch a football game that was the only issue. I am sure that was my fault by assuming that it had a TV. The owners are also very nice and are shipping a shirt back to someone that forgot it there.

What a truly wonderful experience. Don't hesitate to stay here. The owners were very nice people. A great place to stay if you are fishing or just taking a family vacation. Book early because they have been full up for the last two years. Cabin was clean well maintained and stocked with everything you need.

The cabin was amazing and very clean! Lots of fun things to do at the large sand beach. Renting a pontoon was very easy and ready to go when we wanted. There was help at the dock at all times and they were very quick, helped with launching and docking. The customer service here was amazing and the resort is very well cared for; it's a great place to go for an 'up north escape'.

Blew my mind! I have been to so many resorts (growing up in Minnesota) and these guys just get it! If you need anything, they are two steps ahead of you. The grounds are amazing, the kids found all kinds of nature ( baby turtles, deer, eagles) and didn't spend any time on their cell phones. That is saying alot. The dock service was amazing, always there to help you launch and hook back up when you got back. The beach, including all the toys and beach itself were so far above expectations. I cannot recommend this enough for families, and just guys that want to get a trophy trip in. I went with my family, and will be going back this fall with my a-hole buddies. Fish cleaning house is 10 out of 10. Fishing was great, cabins had everything you forgot, and owners catered to any problems that might arise.

What a fabulous place to take a family for a vacation. We had people from 7 months to 78 yrs with us and everyone enjoyed their trip. The daily activities and welcoming personalities of all the staff was a welcomed bonus compared to some of the other resorts we have gone to. The cabins and grounds were clean and well kept. Highly recommend this resort.

This Lodge has great and helpful staff. It is a great place to spend time with family. My family has been coming up here annually for 4+ years and we have a great time. They have plenty of activities to do while your here. We usually go fishing and the staff are very helpful with helping us at our dock, putting gas in the boat, docking the boat, and bringing us bait when we need some. It is a beautiful location for time with family and friends.

We go back to Eagle Nest Lodge every year. We rent a big cabin for all our kids and their families. There are small cabins too and there is some space between them so you don't feel like you haven't any privacy. The whole resort is always clean and tidy. The dock staff is always there to help you load or unload your boat. The Harris's are great people and we enjoy our time there every year! Oh and the fishing is good too!

Susie & Bryan, thank you much for the wonderful stay at Eagles Nest Lodge and your warm welcome and top notch service. Our group of four "sometimes fishermen" originally from S.E.MN truly enjoyed our stay. We found cabin #10 to be very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen, nice newer dishes, glassware, utensils, etc. The weather allowed hours of time to admire the view of the lake from the deck and a bug free fish fry on the picnic table one evening. As I was recovering from a leg injury I also appreciated the grab bars in the bathroom and shower and was very happy to find the docks and boat slips to be in very good condition and very stable. I will recommend ENL to others and am glad we have booked for next September.

Very well run and fun family resort. We stayed in cabin #11 which was clean and very comfortable. Here are some nice things I found about this resort: they come and collect garbage daily, they switch out all your bath towels mid week for clean ones, gorgeous sand beach, fun kid activities, great fishing, beautiful grounds, extremely helpful and gracious hosts, attentive dock boys. We'll be back next year with a bigger group! So much fun:)

Had a blast! Fishing was great. Resort staff were very welcoming including Jesse (the dog). Cabins are very nice, cozy and well furnished. If you need a fishing guide ask for Dale Anderson at the lodge. They can hook you up.

Wonderful resort that has everything! Friendly and helpful owners and employees, the property is well-maintained and often updated and improved, which shows how much they care about providing great service to their guests. Beautiful beach and swimming area, well-kept comfortable cabins, daily activities for kids and adults, playground for the kids, water craft and indoor games also available. We love our yearly family vacation at Eagle Nest Lodge!

This place has it all. A great beach, beautiful clean cabins, great fishing and doesn't take much time to find fish, boat rental of all sizes and the Harris family are great people to help you. We had a great time. We will come back and bring some friends. Loved seeing all the Eagles. Brad & Sue Rogers

Another great year at ENL. We were in an older cabin this year per our own choosing. It gave the week a more rustic cabin feel yet still provided basic comforts (AC worked great). We will be back again next year for a wonderful fun filled week with our kids. The kid activities and family friendly gatherings make the week amazing.

Eagle Nest Lodge is situated on the best location at Lake Winnie. The cabins are very nice and Bryan & Sue are attentive without being intrusive. My family, including three grandbabies 5, 4, and 2 stayed for a raining week. The cabin was large enough and designed so well that even with the rain, all of us had a great vacation. We stayed in cabin 16 and will be back again.

My immediate and extended family members all love this resort. We had another great vacation there a couple weeks ago. It is just the right size, no campers or RVs, safe for younger children to roam the grounds, the beach is fantastic, it is huge - plenty of room for everyone and plenty of beach "toys" for all ages. The cabins are clean and different sizes available to meet everyones needs. I have stayed in almost every cabin over the years. We appreciate that it has the basic amenities we are used to having at home, minus the TV (we like that). Wifi thruout the resort for you all. It has a wonderful north woods grounds, with all the pine trees, loons calling, and bald eagle sightings around the lakeshores. Fishing is even good off the docks, we have caught lots of panfish over the years!

Our parents left money in their will for us to have a family reunion at their favorite fishing resort, Eagle Nest. The accommodations were modern, clean, with great WIFI in our cabin that held about 15 of us. We had bedrooms for all of us. The water was always hot and the Internet speeds were great. Something that many resorts in the middle of Minnesota don't have. Great job, Eagle Nest!

Talk about a place to be! I have family up here and I also send 3 to 4 months a year in the local area, the Eagle Nest Resort is amazing! Cozy and updated cabin, fishing, a sandy weedless beach and every night there are things to do. Campfires, games and amazing sun sets this is a slice of heaven! The fishing is great and you can bring or rent boats and jet skis. I love hiking around the area to Sylee Point, Sunken lake or simpson creek. Make sure to bring bug spray and snacks! The weather is perfect, summer is 70's. If you enjoy wild life this is also a fun area, squirrels, chipmunks, humming birds, water foul, and eagles! Make sure to bring a camera because the run sets are priceless! There is no better place to be!
