High Banks Resort

Beautiful resort, great view. The owners are wonderfully nice people and the cabins are perfect. Lots of toys to rent so there's never a shortage of fun. The lodge bar is great and there are so many different styles for the merchandise. Definitely will be back!

Rented a day house on 2/19/24 This a nice place the service was great the people are great and we caught some fish. I will be back.

Had a great weekend ice fishing in one of their sleeper houses. Managed to catch some fish also. Very friendly staff

Great place to stay. Cabin was clean, beds were comfortable. Fishing was good. Have valet service to launch and remove your boat daily. Evan and Hunter thank you, you made getting on and off the lake very easy and they know what they are doing! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Look forward to our next trips' back! This place is awesome!! The new owners are amazing!!! We were looking for a cabin in northern MN. Came across this hidden resort and we were so glad we did. It was quiet and away from the busy life. But still close to a small town. The stars at night were amazing. The cabins were clean and everything you need in the kitchen. Bring towels and beach towels. They have washer and dryer. $4 for washer and $ 2.75 for the dryer. I could go on about everything positive about this resort. I wish all the luck and blessings for the new owners. Hope to see you all again.

Nice rustic cabins. Was a pleasant surprise to find AC units in all of our cabins for the hot days. Staff is SUPER nice and very accommodating. One of our family members had boat engine problems and they were quick to help get the problem solved. Lots of kid activities. The grandkids in our group loved the splash pad. Also love that they are dog friendly so our fur babies could stay with us. Will definitely go back there.

The entire staff is friendly and accomodating, quick to help and with a smile on their face.

Fishing is great and they provide dock service!! That is a fantastic perk! We're so pleased with our stay, we stayed an extra night!

Excellent facility, would highly recommend. Very friendly staff, cabins were super comfortable and clean. We are new boaters this year, and had only handled the launching of our boat a few times, so felt very nervous of the Valet Boat launch service, after a quick conversation we actually learned that we were launching our boat wrong from the get go, they took the time to work with us and teach a few things we didn't know, all while being very friendly and courteous. Will for sure be back. Only fished for two days, but still caught several northern, a few bass and a decent Walleye.

Kim went out of her way to help our group out and make sure we had a great stay. We had a small rental boat issue, and she stepped up to get us out on the lake and fishing. Great cabins, great location, the staff continued to provide great service while accommodating Covid requirements. Les is the perfect ray of sunshine we needed every morning when hitting the lake!!!

Kim and Rick are doing it right! Always pleasant with so much going on. Quick to greet you and ask how we were doing.
The staff is awesome. The dock boys run to beat you to the boat.
Its refreshing to feel like a wanted guest.

Great place and on a fantastic lake. The staff works hard and it shows. We took our wheel house for a weekend event. It was our first time going out of high banks. They did have a shower house that worked but could use a remodel at some point. We will go back there at some point.

Our party of 6 had an awesome stay at cabin 7!! Cabin was nice /well furnished and very comfortable. Meals were top notch!! Guides knew the lake and put us on our limit of Jumbo Perch. Owners and staff were very friendly and pleasant. Great Time. Thanks Kim, Rick, Pat, Dave and Dan

Spent the weekend with my son for a "boys weekend" at High bank's resort. I have to tell you this will be a yearly tradition! We had an absolute blast! The owners were so awesome, we got up there late and they had a fish house already to go for us! The next morning we hit the trails snowmobiling in "God's Country"! It was an amazing ride from the resort! One of our sleds had issues and the owners were right there to lend a hand in making sure we got it fixed so we could ride! I just couldn't thank them enough! Had the best breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the resort everyone was so friendly! Fishing was great, I mean it was -20 with -30 windshields and the fish house was so warm and cozy! We will be back for "Boys Weekend" for many years to come!!

If I could I would rather it 7/5 this is the best resort with the lake view and the splash patio I hope I come here again

Great staff, clean resort, and gorgeous views. Water trampoline with slide on the lake and a splash pad for the kids too. The owner is amazing and invested in making sure you have a great stay. Can't wait to go back to visit again.

I loved this place, me and my parents went there last year and it was so much fun. I've been begging my parents to take us back because one of the staff members I met is now my best friend. The owners are so great and nice. It's nice to meet some owners that you can have actual conversations with. I would definitely recommend going here at least once to try it out. I hope we can go back next year!

I just got back from another great trip to Winni and figured I would write a review about High Banks resort. The owners and the staff make the trip great every time. High Banks is a great little northern Minnesota resort where my family has always been made to feel welcome. I feel at home every time I walk in the door. The owners work relentless hours running in all directions to make sure everyone is comfortable.

That being said, I read two recent negative post once I was here. Brandon Sweeter thinks it would be a good idea to put salt on the access. What????? Sounds like a great idea to put salt on an ice road! He also complained about the lack of street signs. UM????? His sampler platter of bar food wasn't big enough and they didn't have wine for his wife. There were kids there that could only get $3 worth of quarters because they were low on quarters. The staff didn't check on him enough and it's a so hard to ask for a menu. Sounds like someone is a bit mad at the world.

As for the other bad one recently, are you serious?? Handing twenties out like candy but still come here to do as much damage to a small business as possible? 20 below zero and things aren't working perfect. Imagine that.

I have spent a lot of time at High Banks over the years and have never had a bad experience. Any time I have ever had an issue, I've called the resort and it's been taken care of. These people work more hours in a week than most work in three weeks. Keep up the great work Kim and Rick.
