Hands down, Dr. Wishnie is the best podiatrist in my area.
Prior to seeing Dr. Wishnie, I had numerous surgeries on the bottom of my left foot, that had left scars, and painful nerve damage, and ultimately did not effectively treat my foot's issue.
However, towards the end of my initial consultation with Dr. Wishnie, he had an answer and a plan.
While the treatment took time, it worked over the long haul! My left foot may never be "as good as new," but it sure is close.
I am eternally grateful for Dr. Wishnie, and his incredible staff, for helping me "get back on track" (pun intended)!
I have, and will continue to recommend Dr. Wishnie to anyone who is in search of a good quality (meaning excellent) podiatrist. Hands down, the best in Central NJ.

Love love love Dr. Wishnie. I became a patient in 2008 due to word of mouth by a co-worker. I also became a patient and referred him and before I knew it the whole office were his patients. We all joked about seeing him because he’s an excellent doctor and God took his time creating him. After so many years, I returned as a patient and the only difference is new staff and a new location. He’s still a excellent charming Dr. that’s actually shows that he cares, and he returns telephone calls when you contact him with concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Wishnie for any podiatry issues and/ questions. Don’t look too hard when he’s speaking, you’ll be mesmerized lol

Dr. Wishnee is the best. I have been a patient of his for over twenty years. Besides trimming my impossible toe nails, he has treated several pulled ligaments, growths on my feet, and a broken big toe. He has truly kept me on my feet since we met.

Went here for the first time yesterday. Dr. Bonnin was amazing. She was honestly one of the best doctors I have ever been too. Listened to me and made me feel so comfortable. The office staff was awesome too. They were all incredibly nice and helpful.

Final assessment, you will be calling to resolve billing issues almost a YEAR after seeking services and having a 5 second conversation with Dr. Wishnie. It's not worth it. If you see Curalta as part of the medical service provider, it would be best to research other doctors elsewhere.

Full report -

If I could give negative stars I could. I saw Dr. Wishnie about two years ago as I was experiencing pain in my foot. As a runner, I was concerned about this. His solution was to provide orthotics.

Unfortunately, a year later, I was still having issues. I made an appointment to see Dr. Wishnie in December 2022 and about a year later, I am still having issues with billing. He pushed orthotics and then he spent a few seconds talking to me about needing to wear them and left. He did not provide any additional information about the diagnostic, did not provide any additional mitigation techniques that could be used, did not provide any additional information as to the issues related to my foot, and again, just left.

Fast forward to October 2023, I have had multiple issues with Dr. Wishnie's office, with Curalta billing, and with United Healthcare Insurance. Throughout the month of March 2023, I called all three entities to understand how much money I owed. There were multiple discussions with all three, to include a three-way call with me, United, and Curalta. After these multiple calls, I thought the billing issues were resolved.

In June 2023, I received an email from Curalta (after I had requested not to be contacted by email), indicating that I owed money. Once again, I called all three entities and did the hard work of triangulating with all three entities. I was told that the issue was resolved, and I did not owe any money.

Finally, in October, I once again received an email from Curalta out of the blue that indicated that I owed money. I once again did all the hard work of calling Curalta (billing), Dr. Wishnie's office, and United.

DO NOT SEE DR. WISHNIE AS IT IS A WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT. You will be doing the billing, you will be doing the insurance calculations, and you will be doing all the hard work to figure out how much money is owed.

I had a minor avulsion fracture in my left foot he insisted treating with a fiberglass cast. I was skeptical. I’d been walking on it for awhile and it seemed like it was not a big deal… still he said “let us do our job.” That’s when my troubles began. He insisted on a GIANT cast.. all the way up to my knee.. Why? Who knows. Anyways, the cast was put on too tight. I complained during the visit that my foot felt like it was “in a vice” but he was already off to the next patient. What followed was awful. I developed a major blood clot that put me in the ER. I visit him one more time. I’m starting to freak out. Well, even with my foot swollen like a red balloon he wanted to put on ANOTHER cast. He said if I didn’t agree to it my foot wouldn’t heal properly and I’d need surgery. I was shocked. At that point I was afraid of getting my foot amputated and…. What?? No thanks…Panic set in. I refused and limped out as fast as my crutches could carry me. I told him I’d wrap it myself with tape. Well, my fracture is long gone (it healed on it’s own in 5 weeks ironically) but the blood clots won’t go away and I’m in constant pain. I used to run marathons. Now I have a hard time getting out of bed. Every step is pain. 5 months out I’m starting to lose hope that my foot will ever be normal again. Btw.. 2 visits 500 dollars (AFTER discount). Don’t see this doctor.

Wishnie pushed orthotics on me even though I had already gotten 5 pairs over the past 2 years that did not work. When his "special" orthotics made my foot pain worse, he had me return to his office 6 times to try and correct them (each time charging me for an office visit) and would not acknowledge that the orthotics were just not right for me - I needed a different type of intervention. Even worse, Dawn, the on site Pedorthist, was rather callous when 2 pairs of shoes I tried on did not fit me. She insisted that the shoes were right for me, even though I still had quite a bit of pain while trying them on. She became defensive and decided that I was a difficult patient after trying only TWO pairs! This office may be fine if you do not have a complex issue, but do not go there if you want/need the best possible care.

At first the Dr and staff were were caring and understanding. Unfortunately this did not continue, was fitted for braces in 4/2020, called a few times. Always was given the run around. Still waiting on a call back. 6/11/20. Very disappointing.
