If you've been past this place and you're thinking of trying it then STOP thinking and just go there. Great people here trying to make the most out of these awkward times. Indoor and outdoor seating. The food is amazing. The service...prompt and friendly. They have Mariachi weekly. Festive interior. Good for a date but also family friendly. Order the house drink or BYOB if you're up for it. (There's a liquor store across the street.)
Visited multiple times--always great. Can't imagine anyone anyone not liking it.
For the parents--there are kids meal options which are generous and made with or without meat to preference. Staff is very helpful when ordering and glad to help with menu questions/suggestions.

What can I say except HELLO YUM!!! We were visiting the area and decided to visit this restaurant based on other reviews. We were soooo glad we did! Service was fast and friendly and the food was some of the best Mexican I've ever eaten. The birria tacos were to die for. I'm still thinking about them! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful authentic Mexican food with highly coveted Birra Tacos. First time eating here and it did not disappoint, look no further if you want traditional mouth watering birra tacos and tasty carne asada or al pastor stacked on 2 corn tortillas. Everything is home made and couldn't be better. 5 stars

The nachos are absolutely WORTH the wait, they are made from scratch and maintain the same crispiness until the last bite. The wonderful waitress said it takes a bit longer for the nachos(15 mins is really not that long)…so glad we waited. Guacamole on top was the best I’ve ever had. Also sampled 4 different tacos and the enchiladas, food was fresh and delicious. Don’t wait, run to experience Authentic Mexican cuisine. I pray this review will not cost me a line around the corner for next time, but truly too good not to share. Please don’t forget the churros OH THE CHURROS 😋😋😋

Cute little Mexican place.. The tacos, guacamole, and the chips were we're delicious. Service was great I would recommend this place and we would have to come back and try some of the other items on the menu

Delicious! I’ve been craving Mexican food and hadn’t eaten in at a restaurant since the before the pandemic. I was drawn to La Rivera Maya because that it is a family owned local business and the pictures of the decor appealed to me. The food was awesome and the waiter was very nice. Only critique is the music was a little loud so we needed to talk loud to hear each other. Not enough to deter me though. We will be back!

Stumbled upon this restaurant and THRILLED we found it!! Food was delicious- guacamole, fresh tortillas, amazing shrimp fajitas. Service was spectacular! Sharon was warm and welcoming and made our experience that much better! Hope to make it back soon

Different style for chips and salsa-- multi colored chips with mole sauce and mexican cheese.

Hubs had Mexican steak which was THE BEST he's had, surpassing a favorite restaurant.
I had a steak special with cactus and avocado, and it was FANTASTIC.

It was our first time eating here so we didn't know what to expect. The food was really tasty and portions were nice. The atmosphere was family like and not like a franchise at all. Mathew was our server and he is really kind and helpful.

This place makes the most AMAZING Burritos! Everything tastes so fresh! Service is quick and the staff is great! It's definitely a must try! We visit as often as we can!

Food is very good! The waiters are really nice and respectful. They have very pleasing service and are very good presenting their food. I got to say one of the best Hispanic food restaurants I've ever tried tastes like homecooked meals. Please get here there food is mad underrated!!!!!

Family owned and operated restaurant with delicious food. No alchohol but you can bring your own which is a good option. Waiter was friendly and attentive to our needs. We truly enjoyed our experience here and will definitely return and recommend.

This is the best me Ivan restaurant I have ever been to. I had the Steak Chimichanga and all I can say is WOW!!! I was dancing in my seat while I was eating!!!! The Churros to finish off the meal was also amazing. This is a must try restaurant. I will take all my friends here and the prices are great!!!!!

Some of the best authentic food I have had in a while. Amazing atmosphere and even better food! Can't wait to come back again
