Posillipo Italian Restaurant & Bar

This was an absolute hidden gem! We were trying to find something midway for our friends meeting us and decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise! Our waiter was super nice and provided great service. They even accommodated a special request of clams on the half shell, and they were great. Shrimp scampi over linguine was tasty and lobster ravioli was delicious and even came with half a lobster tail. Desserts were great too. Definitely will be back. Ambiance was a little dated, but it was clean including the bathrooms.

Everything was delicious. The lamb chops, filet mignon and homemade fettuccine with puttanesca sauce with shrimp were excellent. Garlic bread was so good. Great wine selection. Service and servers were great. Highly recommend.

Went on Easter Sunday. Service was wonderful, food was delicious. Second time we’ve been there and it certainly won’t be the last!

Good food great service. If your in area definitely give it a try. Minestrone was 1 of best Ive ever had.

Cute cozy place. It can appear hidden if you don't know it's there. Outside is a bit deceiving because inside it's really nice. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Most importantly, food was amazing. Definitely recommend.

Freddie makes the best Dirty Martini! I tried the Seafood Fra’ Diablo this visit and it was perfect. Just right amount of spicy and seafood was fresh. Highly recommend!

Was here for a birthday. Food is awesome and staff are very friendly and attentive.

Been there several times and it's been consistently good. Ingredients are fresh, food is prepare well and the service is efficient and very personable. They're also very accommodating with meeting particular needs from their kitchen and their well stocked bar.

And though I'm not Italian, my husband is, and he likes this place as much as do.

Ooh also, a really nice feature, there's always fresh flowers on the table.

All I can say is outstanding. Food is so good....like it was cooked in the home of a gifted friend....delish. Service is super. Flowers and table cloths on the table. Makes for a perfect evening.

Food is Always on point!

This restaurant is consistently one of the finest I have been to. I was there last night with a group of women and the service and food was excellent. I always get the grilled salmon and they do not disappoint! But the last time I was there I ordered veal francaise (which was not on the menu but they prepared it for me) which was delectable. I can not understand why there are negative reviews here unless there was a problem and they hired a new chef/wait staff. They were very patient as we asked them to take 6 separate credit cards! I will be back again and again! Bravo Posillipo! PS I am the customer who usually orders salmon "to go".

Took mom for dinner. Always perfect! Order the seafood tower to start Not on the menu but a little secret. Broiled lobster tails, shrimp, raw clams and oysters ‘ exquisite’ as everything was ! Mom had linguine with clam sauce, hubby had three francaise…chicken, shrimp and veal. … best ive ever tasted. I had chicken foglia. Chicek, filet mignon and sausage in a spicy tomato sauce. Stunning.also soup served tableside. Pistachio gelato to finish. Cant recommend enough ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had a birthday dinner for 14 people. Although I’ve enjoyed dinner here many times before, my expectations for this event were surpassed. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers and dinners. And it’s not easy to please 14 people. Posillipo’s dinner was the whole package, excellent service, good food, and ambiance.
And Freddie, the manager, took total control and even assisted the service staff throughout. He was so helpful to me in planning the event, and endured my many texts with patience. Can’t say enough about how pleased I was and how much my group enjoyed their experience.
And the Italian cheesecake and after dinner coffees- espressos, cappuccinos, and Irish coffees were also excellent.

What an experience. From beginning to end, from meeting the waiter and ordering to the food coming out. Everything was top notch. Food was amazing, savory and cooked to perfection. Eggplant rollatini to die for. Done to perfection with no bread crumbs, no bread crumbs. Dinner amazing and salivating. Dessert. Chocolate mousse cake, perfect, light and fluffy and done on the premises. Want an excellent place to dine, enjoy amazing good and relieve top notch service, then I recommend this place. Truly a wonderful experience.

This is my favorite restaurant hands down.
The service is friendly and attentive. We have had Caroline numerous times and she simply is the best.
The food is always fresh, hot, flavorful, plentiful. The portions are right on.
They are patient as we can get a little loud.
I highly recommend Posillipo for two or twenty.
And they have a cute little bar section if you want to dine alone.

We had a delicious dinner here last night. I had the pork chop Murphy off the Friday special menu which had an abundance of offerings. We all enjoyed everything we ordered. Very generous portion sizes, good service. We will definitely be back!

Had a really good meal here. Prices were what I would expect for a nice place. Service was very good. I will be back.
