House of Wong

House of Wong is absolutely serving up delicious food and the high praising reviews did not lie. I was in their establishment for maybe an hour and I witnessed at least 20 people come in to pick up take out orders. In my opinion, that speaks on the quality of food. The fried pork dumplings are flavorful, the pork egg roll is as big as the plate it's served on. The pepper steak was tender and sauced well with a ton of peppers and onions. The rice was good and fluffy. The service was good, even though there appears to be one server for the 4 tables that were seated. I wish they would have spread out the tables a little bit because we were seated right in the middle and it was a little noisy. The ice cold water was good and always refilled without asking. It was an hour drive but in my opinion, it was well worth it and delicious. I would take the adventure again to try something new. Thank you.

This was an outstanding dinner. The staff was very friendly, especially our jovial waiter. He was great. The food was amazing. Loved the pork fried rice and chicken noodles. The entrees were also so good. Mongolian beef, chili chicken, salt and pepper shrimp, vegetable with tofu and sesame chicken. Will definitely go back.

Good Chinese food, I ordered the shrimp with Veggies In Brown Sauce lunch special, which comes with rice, I ordered pork fried rice and a soup, I chose wonton. Everything was delicious, and I was surprised that the shrimp were quite large, which was nice as I prefer that to the smaller shrimp. The portions were a decent size, and the sauce was the perfect amount for allowing extra to dunk the rice into. I did notice that the wonton soup broth was a bit darker than what I'm used to. Not a negative, just something that stuck out to me. I would definitely order from here again and look forward to sampling the rest of the menu.

Delicious!! Ordered Lunch special Red Curry with chicken, with hot and sour soup. The soup was great and had tofu and mushrooms. The red curry was rich and full of flavor. Hearty veggies and a generous amount of chicken. The curry sauce itself I wish I could buy as a drink haha.

This dish was prepared and served quickly, and I was in and out under an hour. Friendly staff. Will definitely be coming here again.

This place reminds me of the old school restaurants from NY and NJ. Friendly staff, reasonable priced, quality food, hot tea, fried wontons with duck sauce and a glass of water to start. I ordered from the lunch menu on my 2 visits. Had the sweet and sour chicken on y first visit and the chicken was white meat and the breading crisp. The sheet and sour sauce was typical and served on the side.
My second visit I had the sesame chicken. The chicken was not heavy coated, the pork fried rice had large chunks of pork not seen anywhere else, the tea was hot, the wonton soup was fresh.

Place is ever so slightly more expensive than it's contemporaries but it is worth it because House of Wong is definitely in the top five Chinese restaurants I've eaten at in this price range in terms of the flavor of the food. The family that runs the shop is also very friendly. They have a small handful of dishes from other central and east Asian cuisines as well that are also very good. This restaurant is also one of the rare Chinese spots you will see where there are just as many people dining in as getting take out whatever that may tell you.

It’s so hard to find good Chinese food and I am very happy with the quality and quantity. General Taos, beef and broccoli, egg rolls, pork fried rice. Finally! I recommend to take out or dine in this pleasant dining area. I had take out.

Better food because they take pride in their food. Other Chinese Place don't take pride in their food like House of Wong Does. I always like them better ever since they were in Somerville when I grew up going there. I will order again soon.
Great Food and Friendly Service.

I get my Chinese food here I think it's pretty decent in the Somerville area. I am more used to the different types of food in the Middlesex County area.

One of the best Chinese food in 30 miles radius of bridgewater. they have good thai options as well. Thai Red curry was amazing. hot & sour was one of the best that i have ever tasted. service is great, everything is quick and food is fresh and served hot. Overall good place. i would be coming more often to this place. really like the feel of the place and the food. simple and tasty .. no gimmick.. great place.

Great little place. High quality beef, chicken and excellent dumplings. Food tastes fresh and not greasy. I have only done take out but they do have a dining room. Now that we have tasted the food it's the only place nearby we will do take-out from even though it's a 12 minute drive with many closer places.

It’s very hour and it’s open on Mondays. Housin sauce could be sweeter, less like soy but it’s very good. They use big shrimp & grill them for good flavor.

Hands down the best Chinese food in the area. The only one I get take out and delivery from. They also have a nice size dining room if you want to eat there with great service. All other places don’t come close to the overall taste and quality. Highly recommend.

Delicious i get the thai curry with duck everytime. They had some of the best wonton soup i ever had. Friendly staff nice place to eat out

My husband and I went in last week & were absolutely blown away by the food & service we received. I'm really picky about crispy noodles & theirs are 5 stars! Our server was so pleasant & very funny. Both of our meals delicious with just enough for leftovers. Excellent!

Absolutely amazing. Haven’t had good Chinese food like this since living in Brooklyn! This place nailed it!

Everything is always great here. The service is fast, prices are reasonable, the restaurant is clean, great portions, and the food is always delicious. If I had to pick one thing to nit-pick, I'd say the Pad Thai noodles could be cooked a little less so they don't stick together as much. Can't wait to go back.

I recommended each one of the dishes because I have dine in the food is outstanding the atmosphere is pleasant, and the waiters are authentic.

Before the pandemic, they did a huge takeout business. It kept them up and running through the Covid. We were able to enjoy takeout. I recommend buying an appetizer soup entrée and enjoy it over two days. For to people we top out abut 50 buck. The value in incomparable. I wish them much success and happiness.
