Arthur's Steakhouse & Pub

I don't know how often you may pass through New Jersey on 95 but just off exit 9 hwy 18 is Arthur's Steakhouse & Pub. It's definitely worth the stop because it's very rare to get this old time feel plus the delicious food. My steak and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Great people who focus on serving others with top notch service. I use to think folks had to dress up but I'm all Truck Driver. I did shower this morning so I'm sure that helped.

First of all, let me start with Carson, the amazingly patient person who took my order over the phone. I was in the middle of driving, and call to place an order for pickup when all of a sudden a horrible storm started. My phone kept cutting out I had to call the restaurant back. Carson was so nice and so friendly and helpful. I haven't been to Arthur's in decades, but recently moved nearby and thought I would try it. I did read the reviews first but I wanted to see for myself. I'm very picky with my food, and I have to say the steak was delicious and cooked to perfection the order was accurate and the food was hot and delicious. I forgot to take a picture before I started digging in LOL so the first picture looks a little sloppy because it was so good. The sirloin steak was great mushrooms and onions they were nice enough to put them on the side I also got a baked potato and I had the French onion soup as an appetizer which was really really good . The strawberry cake for dessert was delicious and fresh. The prices and portions were good. I will definitely be back again to try some of the other menu items. Anyone who gave a bad review I suggest giving it another try.

What can I say? I'm biased and I love everything about this place from the food to the atmosphere. If you love steak and potatoes (yes they offer more), sports on TV and a wait staff and bartenders that are very attentive but not pushy, then this is the place for you. They're not cheap, but you also will not break the bank.

The food at Arthur's is top notch. They make the best French Onion Soup in the business. Their menu is great. Lots of variety. Their steaks are always cooked to perfection and their service is outstanding. I highly recommend. 5 stars all the way!

Arthur’s is a timeless establishment. Delicious food, decent service, and cozy tavern vibe. The establishment is old and could use an update but it adds to the charm. I hope Arthur’s stays around for a long time.

The food was tremendous portions. Everything was delicious and the service was good. I would definitely go back there, but just note your going home with leftovers. Bring your appetite!!!

One of oldest and best place to have steak, burgers add French onion soup. Reasonable price. Highly recommended! 👍🏼

Enjoyed everything thoroughly. French onion soup, NY strip steak and sautéed mushrooms. All excellent. Love the cabbage and pickles and cherry peppers instead of the standard steakhouse welcome bread. Drove an hour to get there and I hate going to North Jersey, but I will return! 3 of us, adult men, ate well for $111 plus tip. We had no alcohol.

Love coming here for special occasions! One of my favorite things is the French onion soup! Absolutely to doe for! Great old barn wood walls give it a different vibe! Arthur's steak is my go to and have never had a bad one! They also now offer pastries from Harold's deli! A fantastic way to end a meal!

My family and I went to this place today and the food was absolutely delicious!! Each of our portions were huge the food was well seasoned and flavorful! We never been here before and decided to give it a try and were so satisfied! We will definitely be coming back! The service was great too!

Somehow a bit of a hidden gem - super juicy and tasty streaks and a pretty simple menu. The place looks to be stuck in the 80s/early 90s in terms of looks but who cares.

The waiter was very nice and did a great job serving. I had a 24oz "our steak" for $40.95. It was delicious. For the high price, it only including a potato. It would have been nice if a vegetable was included in the price charged.

Great local restaurant, great food, great service. The parmesan crusted chicken and the baked scrod are always awesome, and some of our go tos! Of course the steaks are great too. Nice, casual and friendly place. Great bar if looking for a hang out place. Support local businesses!

Just went here for the 1st time tonight. Jessica the bartender is awesome! The atmosphere is great. We had beer, cheese fries and homemade coleslaw. They also gave us complimentary pickles, cherry pepper and delicious salad with a sweet vinegarette dressing. Perfect for a warm day. Next time I'm having a steak. The menu has some great choices and nice sides to pick from. I am so glad I finally stopped in!

Met friends and had dinner and drinks.
Food was good with plenty of choices for a picky eater all the way up to a ravenous carnivore... lol.
Had appetizers, guys had steaks, ladies had burgers.
Most definitely a meat lovers place to go !

First time experience. Perfect steakhouse! Not only were the workers friendly (even though they were very busy), but the manager who waited on my fiancé and I was absolutely courteous!
The food was splendid and beautifully prepared! No imperfections! Definitely going back to try more items off the menu!
10/10 in my opinion! Extremely happy my friends recommended the spot!
