Holy Smokes Bourbon and BBQ

Loved the food here everything was perfect and served fast and piping hot. The ladies at the counter were so nice and they were very understanding that it was my first time there. Will definitely be back again for their ribs and their Mac and cheese. Their cornbread is one of the best I've ever had.

My second time here and it was fantastic both times. Great flavour, great menu and great atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and eat here instead of getting sucked into olive garden or the other chains by the mall. We were with our toddler this time and they were very accommodating to us.

The food was really good....I wish I got more of it but that's always the case with good food. I got a brisket platter and my wife got a sampler with brisket, chicken, and pork. I tried hers and it was all good. The fries are hand cut which I really don't understand why more restaurants don't do that as they are the best! We also got Mac and cheese thinking that's all our daughter would eat, but she annihilated the BBQ so we got to eat it and it was good. I didn't try all they're sauces but they had a jerk sauce that was great when mixed with their sweet BBQ, sweet BBQ was good, and the bourbon BBQ was good. I do wish they had fountain drinks as opposed to bottled water and canned soda. I also wish we got more cornbread because it turned out my daughter loved that too. 5 stars for food, service and atmosphere.

My husband chose the restaurant today, and I was not happy about BBQ being the choice. But Holy Smokes delivered with flavorful and juicy meat. I ordered the pulled pork Cubano, and it was an absolute delight. My husband got the brisket philly cheese and also loved it. We also got the poutine, but without the meat (I'm Canadian and really wanted it classic). They didn't alter the price of the poutine for not having meat, and also wouldn't put it on the side for is which was dissapointing. They also don't have changing tables in the bathroom which was inconvenient. We and the only other family when we ordered had newborns, so hopefully they get one soon. The meal came to about $50 total.

Finally a place for BBQ in Watertown. It’s not southern, but it’s VERY tasty.

I had an excellent meal in a clean restaurant. Portions are HUGE. The sandwich is the star. A real monster with balanced flavors and ample meat. This big sammich must weigh 2 lbs.

The sides were not necessary. Next time I’ll just get the sandwich. The mac was northern ny style: extremely soft, no pepper, no crisp baked top/edge. The beans Id swear were canned but have no way to confirm this hunch.

I highly recommend the sandwich. It’s an outstandingly well made cousin to authentic southern Q. I will definitely eat here again.

As an actual Southern gentile from the Carolinas I can say the beef brisket was perfect in taste and tenderness. The pricing was great for southern comfort food in upstate NY.

A unique corner restaurant with a lil feel of the Big Apple(screen on top of the main entrance) food is great. Loved the food. Awesome hostesses. Whom ever the pit master is, my hats off to you... the meat came off the bone!!!!!

Everything about this place was wonderful. The staff was friendly, the service was promt, the decor was appealing and fit the season! The food was delicious and the cornbread is a MUST have!

I've been meaning to come in this place for awhile now. Glad I finally did! Fast and friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. I got a "garage wrecker" burger with pulled pork, and yes it was as good as it looks!

I had the Brisket Philly, delicious. Bun was perfect for holding it all together. Very filling

Decided to try out Holy Smokes out on a Thursday date night and holy smokes, was it a great choice! I personally had the brisket poutine with bourbon sauce and it was out of this world. Excited to go back again and try some more of their menu items.

Holy Smokes catered our wedding this weekend. The food was DELICIOUS and there was more than enough for our guests. Kim was absolutely wonderful to work with planning it and beyond accommodating. Highly recommend for any event. Thank you so much!!

Best BBQ in the area! Service was quick even with the huge order they prepared before me. So yummy definitely recommend!

Wow 🤩. Stopped in today for some lunch and was not disappointed! The staff were super friendly and helpful with suggestions. Food was amazing and portions were very generous. Was super impressed by the food that I ordered a second meal to take home to my husband. Highly recommend if your in town

Found this little spot while visiting my mom in waterwown and we'll 100% be coming back! The woman at the register who I think might have been the owner, was absolutely lovely! I have a pineapple allergy and she was quick to catch that the sauce for something I ordered had pineapple in it. She was kind enough to sub it out for double pork instead. Great food and huge portions we left full and happy

The atmosphere was very comfortable and clean, the décor perfect. The customer service was excellent. I ordered the Charleston and it was very good. I ordered a kids meal bbq chicken slider platter for my two young kids to share and they were so thoughtful as to make 2 plates and split the sliders and macaroni and cheese so I didn’t have to. Most places just hand me an extra plate and I have to split everything. My husband ordered the no bun three meat platter with jerk sauce with fries and macaroni and cheese. My husband wasn’t a huge fan of the brisket, but said there’s different ways to cook it and he preferred a different way. Would recommend this restaurant.

This is a great BBQ place. Everything we tried was excellent. Great variety of Menu items.

My daughter and I ate here tonight
(08/24/21) for the first time.. it will not be our last!! The ribs were awesome, the pulled chicken sandwich my daughter got was awesome... And neither one of us are real big bread eaters, let alone corn bread.... But It was amazing!!!
I would order that on purpose next time..I just had a taste of hers and I wanted more!! Definitely a place to check out.. Added bonus, get to eat outside right on Public Square!!🥰🥰🥰
