Brought may car here for transmission service after every place I went too told me to take it to the dealer they don't touch Mercedes. This shop has high level diagnostic equipment (dealer level) and found codes on many of the cars computers. The service was excellent and my car now drives like new again. They do general automotive repair and had other Mercedes and BMW in the shop along with Dodge and Honda. They work on everything including the hard stuff that not all shops have the ability to work on. Much cheaper than the dealer. Will be doing all my service here from now on. Highly recommend!

I am a certified mechanic by trade. I no longer do it for a living. I really don't like anyone touching my vehicles but the exception was that I needed an expert to work on my CVT transmission on my Suzuki Kizashi. Freeport Transmissions not only fix the problem but they were not satisfied until the car was completely fixed. Great customer service. I recommend this shops anyone who needs work done on their vehicle. A good mechanic is very hard to find, a good honest mechanic is even harder to find, you'll find both at Freeport transmission. Another satisfied customer.

I don't understand how anyone could say anything negative about this place. I have brought my car here a few times now and each time I am amazed at their honesty. When I brought my car for a trani fluid change, Steve called me before performing the service just to make sure I didn't want to have it done at the dealer to avoid any hassle if I needed to ever use the warranty. He called to prompt me to not spend money at his establishment as it could be better for me, the customer. I dont run into many places that care about the customer more than their business making money. I think it's hard to find people in this world that you can trust and these guys are the most trustworthy people you'll come across. Besides their trustworthiness my father has had transmission work done here and he swears by them. I highly recommend Freeport Transmission to anyone who wants to deal with good honest people who know what their doing.

This is the best place to get your car fixed I would recommend anyone or everyone to get their car fixed here. They will fix your car in a timely fashion, they also have good customer service and great mechanic. They have my GMC Yukon truck driving better than it ever has been driving and I would not take my truck anywhere else to get fixed. I will give this place mechanics and everyone who works there two thumbs up and a five star rating.

I do Uber. In May 2019 the manual clutch of my 2004 Saab 9-3 fell all the way down and stayed there. As it is a European luxurious class car with manual transmission, general mechanics could not diagnoise the problem and I was advised to take it to the dealer who obviously would charge a lot of money. I was broke, I did not have the thousands of dollars that the dealer would ask to fix it. A mechanic specialised in European lux cars suggested it must be the master cylinder or the slave cylinder. He gave a shot and he changed the easy one, the master cylinder which was mounted outside of the transmission. He charged $350.00 for the labour. The problem stayed. Now it was obvious that the slave cylinder was damaged which was mounted inside of the transmission! He said the had to pull apart the transmission which would require hours of labour. He asked $800.00 for the labor alone to change it! I did NOT have the money! Thinking about different options such as junking the otherwise excellent car I walked to another mechanic. He asked $850.00 and did not go down 1 penny. I went to a street mechanic. He asked $800.00 as well. I walked to this shop finally with not much hope left. Mr. Compton offered an unbeatable, VERY GOOD price which I could afford. I bought the slave cylinder immediately and he changed it in a few hours. After 2 months the car runs great. I would HIGHLY recommend this place and now this is my favourate transmission workshop! The service and the price is just unbeatable! I would give 10 stars if I could.

I have been going to Freeport Transmission for over a year now for all my automobile repairs and maintainance. They provide great customer service and explains to you everything step by step. I feel very comfortable taking my vehicle here and will definitely recommend to anyone.

I took my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited to freeport transmition the worker are so nice they explain to me.what was going on whit my Jeep my transmition was rebuilt my Jeep is running beautiful.i will recommend then any time and day to all my friends.because they are very honest. My car stopped moving on the parkway.An internet search led me to this shop.I called them, & "Steve" answered the phone.He sent a tow truck to me very quickly & got my car to his shop.I got a fully rebuilt transmission installed in my car within two days.It runs like new again,& I have had no issues.Great customer service & they kept the cost within my budget.Thumbs up to these guys!
