Best sushi in Long Beach! Whether you're dining in or taking out Himawari will satisfy at every point. Quality ingredients are used throughout each of their menu items. Ownership is present and amicable with every familiar face he sees. The staff is extremely hard working and on top of their responsibilities even on the busiest of nights.

My favorite sushi restaurant on Long Island. I love it here and having worked in a Asian Fusion restaurant for years this place is on point. I recommend the Himawai salad for appetizer if you like sashimi. They also make an excellent futomaki roll. My friend is a fan of the salmon teriyaki the seafood udon soup.

The food was good the presentation was amazing will definitely return and give it another try in the future.

The sushi combo platter was very fresh and well done.
The lunch boxes were OK, nothing amazing but work well done. We arrived when they opened for service and the waitress were very fast and we had a great time.
Very attentive to the kid with us too, have us nice cup for him to drink safely.
We would surely come back if we're in the area.

Delicious food and awesome service. In the photo are the Harvest roll, diamond roll, Christmas tree roll and fantasy roll. The vegetable spring rolls were also great.

Been going here for years. Sushi is top notch, fresh, well made and prices are better than other places in town. The owner Jimmy is the man, he remembers everyone and is often the delivery driver. They are always open, great for a quiet lunch or dinner or take out. Lunch specials are awesome, any 2 classic rolls, soup and a salad for under $11. Theres a selection of sake and beers, staff is always great. Hot entrees and apps are great too.

Food was fantastic and good prices. Sushi was high quality. Great grilled squid. Will come here again when I’m in Long Beach.

Delicious food, wonderful service, and they took my friend’s Gluten allergy VERY seriously. Server was very knowledgeable and saved her from accidentally ordering the wrong thing.

Himawari is hands down the best sushi in Long Beach!! The sushi is top quality, fresh and always delicious. The staff and service is one of a kind. The owners are always present no matter what day or night of the week you come in to eat. They are doing everything right and I always look forward to eating great sushi here. Don’t think twice about eating sushi anywhere else while in LB!!!!!!!

Without a doubt our favorite Sushi restaurant in the area. Not Japanese owned, but the food is amazing, excellent quality, great service and very nice owners. Price wise, it is very reasonable. We had Hamachi Kama, and various pieces of sashimi, followed by uni handrolls, all perfect!
