The history of the place plus their live band was a great atmosphere the crowd was mixed, I was impressed to see young folks really getting into it this old blues jazz.

If you want to really enjoy the evening this experience reserve a table and have dinner their.

I had never been their before but am definitely going back.

Its a great place to take someone you want to impress.

Step back into time to the prohibition period at the hidden Charolette’s Speakeasy! One of Farmingdale’s hidden gems was actually an original speakeasy during this time period. You walk through an active ice cream parlor, are prompted with hints to guess the “password”, and are lead behind a bookcase to enter the bar. You can’t help but admire the 1920’s decor and matching bartenders to go with it.

The drinks were fantastic (boyfriend got the bootlegger’s Old Fashioned while I got the Evening in Paris-absolutely divine). The music of the night was a remarkable blues harmonic band that we just couldn’t help but dance to! Because it is a smaller venue, I would advice making reservations ahead of time. One of the best speakeasies I have been to so far! We plan on coming back.

Only came for the drinks but man were they good. Loved the speakeasy vibe to get into the spot being above a dessert shop, behind a bookcase, and down a flight of stairs. My Wife had the same vodka cocktail a few times and was consistently good and light each time. I had the bourbon based cocktails and each one was just as good as the last. Vibes were great with a fun live band playing a good mix of covers from Chuck Berry to Otis Redding. We can't wait to come back. These bartenders make some awesome drinks and the live music was enjoyable!

Enter through an opening bookcase in the wall in the ground floor ice cream parlor and down stairs to the venue, just like speakeasys during prohibition (so I've been told). Great live music, and large platters of appetizers can be ordered for the table. A really fun experience!

What a Fun Place to just experience, hear great music and enjoy with friends. An actual restored 'Speakeasy', the owners take the opportunity to educate you on what it was like back in the day. We were treated extremely well by one of the owners, John, and the Man at the Door, Rob, and our Wonderful Waitress, Jordan. The food was plentiful and although a 'bar food' menu, it was tasty and a good quality. I recommend the experience.

My fiancé and I had our engagement party here back in February and I cannot say enough wonderful words! Nick was so easy to communicate with and helpful in answering questions to make sure the evening went the way we envisioned. We had passed food and a band. All of the staff involved were some of the nicest people I’ve worked with. We even gave guests the opportunity to order some ice cream on the way out to end the night in a fun way. If you’re thinking of planning an event here, I wouldn’t hesitate!

Super cute "secret" speakeasy tucked away in an ice cream shop. Code word needed which is on their website. $5 cover. "Secret" door that leads to a basement with live music, bar, seating and food.
My drink def came with meringue which I didn't know meant egg white foam on top. But it was delicious. Didn't order food.
Next time I would go early or get reservations and get seating, order food and stay longer.

Charlotte’s Speakeasy is a really cool, classy place to have some drinks and see great bands. Most of the bands are blues or jazz; the best of them is “Harmonica Bill and Marked Deck”. Also a great place to rent for a private party!

Amazing atmosphere and music hidden behind a bookshelf in a 1920s styled speakeasy. A legit speakeasy and pleasant find on long island. Great selection of whisky and cocktails. Jazz and blues style music tops it off. Great entertainment. Always a fun time and great for a date night or drinks with friends. Highly Recommended.

This is such an awesome place! My husband and I reserved a table ahead of time and really enjoyed the live jazz band and ambiance. Waitstaff and bartenders were exceptional. Ask Nick for a private tour (as recommended on the menu!) and you won’t be disappointed. The history is fascinating!

this place is so cool and unique! hidden behind a bookshelf in an ice cream parlor, you are transported to a genuine prohibition bar from the 1920s! theres small light bites and amazing drinks! the live jazz music was great and if there isnt room downstairs, check out the patio when the weather is warm! we love "the man in the suit" who helps add to the game of the speakeasy! 12/10 recommend this place!

Awesome place! Went with a group of 6, we got a booth right next to the band. Staff was great, wasn’t overcrowded, overall really good vibes. The band, Deep Pockets, was amazing. We planned on doing a bar crawl but ended up staying here because it was so nice. Definitely want to come back

Came here on a Friday night and had an absolute blast! The band was amazing and I was dancing and singing along with the music all night .

I highly recommend if you like places with an older vibe . Great staff, great drinks, great music. Will definitely return with friends in the future

Pro tip- if you’re coming with a bigger group , reserve a table !

Last night we had an incredible surprise party for my son’s 40th Birthday Party.. The food, the service, the bartending, the ambiance of Charlotte’s Speak Easy was outstanding.. The jazz band Deep Pockets certainly added to the feel of the night… I look forward to going back with friends and enjoying another Great Night.. Mike and Karen Massapequa NY

In one word, spectacular! Just hosted a surprise birthday party there, 1920s theme, it was fantastic. The venue is as authentic 20s as it comes. They rommended the best caterer and band. It was beyond my expectations! Thank you Nick!
