The Richmond

I adore this place. It is so cozy and modern. Great atmosphere. Great cocktails. Food is also really delicious. I would say it is a little pricey for Staten Island, but if counting delicious food and great service, it is not so bad. They only open for dinner and on Sunday for brunch. In the summer, they have a terrace open.. but i did not visit the terrace yet. I would definitely recommend visiting for dinner. Today, we had brunch here with my husband and we got a great service..food came out fast, salad was fresh and yammy. We got a complimentary sweet bread toasted with a tiny jelly jar..very nice touch. We also had a fried burata and two eggs Benedict. Everything and everyone was lovely. Definitely will be back.👌🩶

We live The Richmond! It has a very cozy and cute atmosphere and the service is fantastic. I also love that they have gluten free options. We stopped in for brunch and enjoyed their bottomless bubbly, our server recommended the Hugo Spritz and it was fantastic! They also asked if we had dietary restrictions and offered us a flourless chocolate cake which was delicious. 10/10 would highly recommend stopping here.

How does one place do everything right? That is all. Everything from the food, drinks, service was exceptional. Went here for Sunday brunch and had the most wonderful dining experience.

We moved to Staten Island 2 years ago from Manhattan, The Richmond restaurant has a very unique menu. Their pork cabbage dumpling is beyond delicious, their burger, short rib steamed buns , amazing service. Can not wait to go back.

Our server was Aldo and he was great, made recommendations and was attentive to all of his tables. We had about 8 different starters for our table and not one of them disappointed. The short rib Mac and cheese was one of my favorites. The wings were also good, I’m not a bleu cheese fan but whatever they did to it was TASTY! Oh and the fried burrata, just wow!!! The mixologist made us some amazing spicy margaritas. I would definitely come back, and would recommend this for a girls night or even a date night.

This was my first time trying this place. I have been there before when it used to be Gatsby on the Bay. They definitely made changes to the decor which was beautiful. The details even on the chairs was exquisite. They also have outdoor sitting.
The service is absolutely wonderful. Very very happy.
Now to the food. Loved it. We got the octopus and also lobster tartar. For main course I had the chef special which was the ravioli with sausage and broccoli rabe. Absolutely delicious. My husband had the short rib. Another delicious plate. Dessert I had the carrot cake and a special which was Oreo mousse cake. Very very pleased.

We had an early reservation for 5 p.m. because we were attending a fundraiser later that evening. The Richmond has an open airy atmosphere with an exposed wood-beam ceiling and belt driven industrial fans. They have both indoor and outdoor seating also. Our server was both friendly and professional and very knowledgeable about all the specials on the menu.
The food was excellent. They have a very interesting menu. We will definitely be going back

Best meal I've had in a very long time. Pork chop was so delicious. Creme brulee dessert... Service was excellent. All in all deserves 5 stars.

Amazing over all!!!! The waiter was nice and very attentive, the drinks were great and the food was awesome. Definitely coming back here sometime soon to try more!

Finally an exceptional restaurant made it to Staten island that is not Italian food orientated. The Richmond drink was phenomenal. The days special beef tartar rivaled anything I have had in Quebec, Toronto, even in Leon. Finally the braised beef short rib was tender as it should be in a nice balsamic glaze with the roasted carrots that balanced everything out. Just wished the Gibson my second drink would have come with pickled onions as it should instead of an olive, but it's forgivable considering the supremacy of the first drink the Richmond.

This place gives you more than you expect! We wanted oysters and this place had IT!!! Oysters and mussels are good! Ambience brings you back to a time where Mad Men(the show) can be filmed at. Cozy and inviting!

This place is amazing! The servers were friendly and welcoming. The foods were delicious, as well as their specialty cocktails. To cheese-lovers, I would recommend to try the fried burrata. 🧀

Amazing service. Very friendly staff. Delicious food and great specials. Very warm and welcoming outdoor side patio with beautiful flora and decor. The Richmond also has a nice selection of wine and cocktails

Been here twice and the had an amazing experience both times. One of my favorite restaurants on the Island. Food and drinks were superb both times. This roasted chicken was probably the best chicken breast I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, very moist, and delicious, with pancetta and pearl onions and fingerling potatoes. Great staff and atmosphere too.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had Dana and Devin helping us and they were amazing. Definitely planning a return trip.

Very delicious. The modern love cocktail was sweet and floral-y. My favorite was the Mac and cheese. We’ll be back!

Greatly spot on the island. Ask for Tomahawk special with a bottle of red - on par with the best of them in the city. Nice ambiance, friendly not pushy services. No parking. Reasonably priced.

Great place, great food! A little loud if you came for a full convo, but totally ok if you came just to have great diner or branch. Service was good, thank you. Social distancing was in place.
