I have never had a problem with Park It Place! If you park without paying, I think it is only fair that you are ticketed. This company takes care of most of the Downtown lots, and I will only park in their lots! They have so many convenient ways for you to pay, that makes it so easy to find parking Downtown!

I used Park it Place lots for my UNM semester parking permit. Their lots are a great value for the price. I will never wait for the UNM shuttle again....so worth it to pay a little more for the convenience!!

I bought a permit at a lot nearby my office. Often, I would have trouble finding a parking spot in the morning or after lunch and would end up being late for work. I called the Park It Place office and all they would tell me is to park at a different lot, miles away (and walk 30 mins to work? No, thanks.). The lot is leased (shared) by a local church. I decided to call the church to ask about the parking situation and they would tell me things like "oh, yeah, it's volunteer week" or "we had an event and allowed people to park there today". So, essentially, I pay Park It Place a flat monthly fee for "first-come-first-serve" use, except when I lose out on a spot, Park It Place still gets my money.
Update: I spoke with a manager who was friendly, promised to look into the situation, and offered a partial discount of one month's fee.

crooks! Got booted they charged $325 when their sign says $75. They would only take cash and when I asked for a receipt they wrote on an envelop. I asked them to explain the charge and they couldn't. this place is a scam

Have received multiple tickets over the years when I have a permit right in the windshield. My vehicle was also vandalized while parked there. Obviously not their fault but just know that while they are watching to give you a ticket, they aren't also watching for other things.

KOB NEWS story
Private parking lots issuing their own tickets
Created: 03/18/2014 10:54 PM

You get a parking ticket, and the first reaction is probably to take care of it.
KOB Eyewitness News 4 has uncovered a business practice that city officials say abuses that idea -- private parking lots ticketing folks who do not pay, or overstay their welcome.
If you park too long on a city street, the city of Albuquerque can give you a ticket.
But if you are ticketed while parking in one of Albuquerque's private lots, you need to see this story before you do anything.
One of our very own KOB staffers got a ticket on his windshield in a private lot in Albuquerque. The ticket looks a lot like one of the ones you'd get from the city of Albuquerque. But it's not.
The lot in question is owned by a company called Park It Place. They own dozens of private lots all over the city.
It made KOB wonder; "Can a private company make you pay a ticket?"
"It's a gimmick," said Albuquerque assistant city attorney Greg Wheeler.
Wheeler says the company's "ticket" is little more than an empty threat.
"I'm concerned that it looks official and I'm concerned that a private entity is proceeding as if they're a governmental entity," he said. "To defraud people out of their money."
If you get one of the tickets, Wheeler says; Don't pay.
"If someone paid one of these, I would think that would be at their own peril and they might seek remedy against the person who even suggested they have to pay it," said Wheeler.
Park It Place attorney Colin Hunter adamantly disagrees with Wheeler.
"Mr. Wheeler, like he is on many, many things, is not only wrong on this issue, he's 100 percent wrong," said Hunter. "Park It Place negotiated with the city the rules and regulations that govern private parking lots."
Hunter said the rules allow private parking companies to boot a car after a driver parks in a lot without paying four times.
"I'll send it to you," said Hunter. "I think it's called the Private Parking Booting Regulation."
Hunter did send us a copy of the ordinance.
It does talk about private parking companies and their right to boot cars that violate the terms of their parking services.
But it doesn't say private lots are allowed to ticket those drivers.
The owners of Park It Place say these tickets are a warning before a car gets booted.

Warning: I think the parking lot owner is exploitive and lacks concern for the safety and well-being of your automobile. In my opinion, the parking lots are not guarded by security, the lots are full of trash, the payment machine takes forever to process payments, and the employees are mistreated. I think parking here supports unjust business practices.

I was ticketed for parking in a space in their lot that was designated for a company that I was a patron of. I emailed them, asking for a refund on the ticket I paid, and their was no resolution. I will try to not use a park it place lot again.

Questionable and sluggish entity policing un-marked spots on private property and denying my to acknowledge my legal right to challenge a ticket before a judge.
