Grand Central Church of Christ

As of this writing, I have been attending Grand Central for almost 20 years. The first 5 years or so were off and on while I was in college, then newly graduated and would "try out" different churches in the area to see what was the best fit for me. My husband Sam and I have two daughters who absolutely love their church family, friends, and teachers. One thing I love about our church are the programs and ministries for all ages- children, teens, adults, retired; men's prayer breakfasts, women's Bible study, VBS and camp during the summer, feeding children in local schools, clothing give away, the annual Christmas store, etc.

Are we perfect? Nope! We're human just like everyone else. No church, school, group, business, etc is perfect, but we love God, we love Jesus, we love each other, we love our community- and that makes GC the church my family and I love being a part of.

P.S. On Sunday mornings you can usually find me serving coffee as you walk through the front doors. Don't like coffee? That's okay! We also serve hot chocolate and hot tea. If none of these options interest you, we can still offer you a smile and warm welcome! 😊

Grand Central is a community where I am encouraged and challenged to grow spiritually and to build relationships. God’s Word is discussed in a way to make it understandable to use in daily life. The singing lifts me up and I find myself humming the songs during the week. I see God’s love shared by the members within the Grand Central family and so many ways in the Mid Ohio Valley.

Great church. The pastor gives great lessons and everyone is friendly. Its a great place to worship the lord.

Friendly, caring, welcoming community of believers. Broad age spectrum and many international members.

Great facility.

Church of Pelagian academics. Most of the leadership can tell you every place Peter and Paul pooped on their missionary journeys but lack the practical applications of applying God’s graces in the daily aspects of life. Such as on, and more importantly modeling, how to have a dynamic, vibrant, God-centered marriage (1 Corinthians 7:1-16; 11:3; Ephesians 5:22-23 ; 1 Peter 3:1-12; Colossians 3:18-21)!

Reserve a van with Avis, 5 weeks in advance. When I arrived waiting in line the employee yells out we have no more 7 passenger cars available. Not thinking that is address toward me as I have an reservation. Wrong, I get up to the desk, I gave him my reservations number, he states we don't have anymore vans. MAKING a reservation doesn't make a difference according to him. He down graded us 6 people and 6 suite cases to a small KIA SUV, which he told me to run and jump on the hood before someone takes it, which I find extremely unprofessional. We had to hold luggage on our laps!!!!

When I return the car late night drop. Next day I arrive home to find out I was over charged $175. Charged us gas when filled tank, over charged insurance, and still charged me price of a van! I was outraged. I will not be using nor recommending AVIS!!

Though I would share would hate this to happen to others!
