Ventura's Taco Restaurant

I enjoyed the food at Ventura's. My Pollo con mole was excellent, much better than I expected from this tiny offshoot from a taco truck. Everything was fresh and homemade, including the delicious chips. Ventura's chimichanga, an American-Mexican dish, was also made in-house and was tasty. Our server was pleased to take care of us and enjoyed our compliments. We finished our meal with a flan that I enjoyed, but my wife thought was mediocre. She's picky, though, and we have a friend who makes her own flan, which is out of this world, but she lives in CDMX, so who cares? I had a great meal at Ventura's and shall return. Prices were reasonable.

I like the vibe of this place and the staff is very sweet! The birria tacos were delicious and super filling! Actually, the birria itself was delicious too even by itself - which sounds crazy but trust me. I also liked the horchata and I appreciated all the cute Christmas decorations. My friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant at the time but I think everyone is missing out on such a great place to eat! Parking can be a little hard to get here but I think it’s worth the search!

The food, and service are consistently excellent. The salsa and hot sauces are made fresh and add flavor to an already perfect menu. Everything is made and presented with enormous pride and attention to detail. ****** six stars!

My husband and I are loving this place so much! It’s near us we can walk there, the place looks nice and clean, you can have indoor and/or outdoor seating. Chips and salsa are good, its menu seems very different from what you usually have in other Mexican restaurants in Milwaukee, I like that!
Staff is friendly and we haven’t had to wait a long time for our food.

One of my new favorite places for Mexican food. We got the chips and guacamole, elote, birria with rice and beans, and a burrito. So much food (even my husband had leftovers) and all for $45. Service was amazing, too!

We did takeout & ordered chicken tacos dinner, shrimp nachos, and the chimichanga dinner. Everything was SO good and FRESH. Restaurant was very clean, and the women working were very nice. There is a bar inside, so definitely, if you have the time, stop and dine in. This was our first time in, but we will definitely be back.

Every dish has been amazing. Pernil dish, camarones alas brazas, & torta Cubana are my favs. So delicious!!

Great local place to get excellent tacos and Mexican plates. Nice patio. Cosy dining room, but enough room to devour their Tuesday taco special. Super nice owners and staff. 💯 recommended.

Amazing and great Mexican food. Very authentic and they give you big portions. Ordered the tostada and it was the best one I had! You can choose your own meat and they fill it with bunch of beans, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese avocado. It is 2 large tostadas. Did takeout and food came out quick. Would definitely come here again!

Im Visiting from Phoenix and my bro took me here for dinner the staff was awesome and they have amazing food the birria was delicous as was the pastor if I still lived in milwaukee this would be a go to for me for sure

This place is underrated. It is so clean, margs are top notch, and the food is delicious(and not spicy!)
If you’ve never been i highly recommend starting with the mexican taco dinner and trying 3 different meats.
The birria was recommended to me and probably my favorite meat choice!
Staff is attentive and polite.
I’d give it 10 stars if possible.
Also sharing the drink menu since that hasn’t been shared yet.
Pineapple mango marg is my favorite.

Hi! It is 12/12/23 and I stopped in for the tilapia diabla and the quesabirra. This was the best food I’ve ever had from you guys. Whoever cooked today give them a raise!

All I can say is the five taco plate with the grilled onion and chiles are ridiculously good!

This is my new favorite Mexican spot. The food is always above my expectations and it's ready for pick up so fast.

Great tacos, best Elote I've found in Milwaukee so far, the tamale was alright.

I’m an Amazon Driver that drives all around Milwaukee to Racine. This is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve had in years. The quality of the food is there, where other places have declined after covid. They have tamales every day and they are loaded with meat! You can tell that the staff CARE about the service and food they provide. Which is rare these days. Their salsas are the best too. Spicy but not too spicy, GOOD flavor! The prices are also the best you’ll find these days.

Recently moved nearby and gave this place a try. I’ve been in my spot for now even two weeks and I’ve gone here probably 8 times. After coming from the south side, I didn’t think there would be a quality Mexican food place here in bay view, but Ventura’s has exceptionally good food. The Pernil specifically is fantastic. Honestly everything I’ve had has been. It’s good enough that I never leave reviews and am leaving this😂😂😂

I had the steak torta from one of their taco trucks and it was amazing! I could consider myself a connoisseur of tortas 😆 and it was the best I’ve ever had. Will be returning to the restaurant in the future for it!
