We will be back! The service here is friendly, and the owner was our waiter! We had lovely descriptions of our food and any questions answered happily. My husband is typically critical of restaurant steak but he was very complimentary of the flavors and temperature of his order. My son really enjoyed his shrimp pad Thai. I had the ravioli which are house-made and delicious. I would love to try the other ways they prepare them! They ended our meal with a complimentary macaron. Yum!

We stopped by at this restaurant on our way back from Yellowstone, it was the best decision I made in a long time. The owner was so hospitable, humble and receptive which added such a great vibe to the amazing food that we all ordered. It was a so tasty that my taste buds are still looking for this taste everywhere else. They were very considerate to our food restrictions and made sure that no meat is near our food. The bread and butter was so good that we had to take some with us on the road. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness to my family from Dubai!

Unique place that is worthy of your stop for a meal in Ennis. We wanted a burger and this place delivered! Also can recommend the Asian Chicken Salad too. We split one between us and it was perfect. The fries are good, but the scratch made potato chips steal the show. A great place to just relax a bit and have a great meal. Strongly recommend.

The chef at this place is legit! Everything we got here was delicious. The chili was possibly the best I've ever had, and everyone was delighted with their meals. Even the meatballs in the kids' spaghetti dinner were beyond compare.

In short, it was one of the best meals I've ever had.

We went here for a late lunch. They stopped seating at 1:30pm, then are closed from 2pm-4pm for dinner prep. Food was good. My wrap was tasty. The potato chips were made from scratch. Very yummy.

If you find yourself in Ennis, Montana- dip your feet or fly line into the Madison River AND make a dinner reservation for this place- you will enjoy the service and especially the food!!
We started with a bottle of red wine and the baked brie- both delicious as was the bread & butter. Followed with the steak (tonight was tri tip) and fries for DW and I tried the venison stroganoff- again both delicious. Finished with a shared slice of chocolate pie and chocolate macaroons- once again both delicious.
Both the server and the chef in the kitchen were excellent!!
We visit Ennis in our rv when we travel to Yellowstone and love the newer drive in sites at the now named Starry Night RV park. The view across the valley and the numerous prong horn antelope living there is wonderful for an after dinner view- bring your binoculars…

Delicious dinner tonight. Saturday night special Prime Rib and daily feature Elk Ossi Bucco. We started with Hush Puppies and the soup of the day Tomato Basil. We have already planned out next visit!

Great experience. Service was 10/10 and the food was incredible. The chicken pot pie dish was quite special. The complimentary macaroons for desert made us feel very welcomed, we will be back any time visiting Ennis

We found this little gem when we found out the original restaurant we wanted to go to was closed. Boy am I glad they were closed! Tavern 287 is a must stop when in Ennis if you want really great food and the best service! We went in wanting steak and after talking to the owner, my husband ended up ordering Spaghetti and meatballs, and I had the special Lobster Ravioli in a cajun sauce. The pasta is freshly made each day and it was sooo delicious! As for dessert, it's not on the menu as it's always changing. We were lucky enough to come in on a night when they had lemon torte and raspberry/lemon cheesecake....oh my goodness!!! Amazing!!! Bonus surprise was their "Thank you" to us of fresh macaroons!!! We will definitely be back when we are in or pass through Ennis!!!

We stopped in for lunch with friends. The owner met us and said if we were in a hurry it might take a little longer to get your lunch. He said he just wanted us to know that before hand. We were setted and made our order. We had great conversation with our friends as we were not in a hurry. Lunch was out in no time. Everything we had was delicious and well prepared. It's a great setting in downtown Ennis. We would definitely go back. Prices were very reasonable.

The best food I have ever had, the owner and his son were very nice, they gave us free macaroons that were soooooo good and service was SUPER quick. I advise you to get the wagyu steak and fries. The meatloaf and the stroganoff were very good also. We loved all of it, especially the bread and butter.

I had the bison + goat cheese ravioli (the ravioli is seasonal) and my fiancé had the prime rib (Saturday night special). Everything was so good. We will be back to try more of the menu!

5 stars all around. Amazing service and a great menu. Elk Osso Bucco was fall off the bone perfect with a unique great flavor. We are already planning a return trip.

My lord the food here is delicious! You can tell everything is made with care. The meatloaf was incredible and brought me right back to home with mom. My husband had the steak with frites and that was also delicious. Also don’t skip the dessert the owners wife makes… They are absolutely made with love and care. We will for sure be back for more!

Wow!!! This place is a must try! Everything was next level from the cottage cheese soup to the fresh baked bread to the homemade ravioli to the wagu steak to the best damn French fries ever! Absolutely fantastic experience amazing food and service! Thank you for an excellent dining experience!!!!!!

There are not a huge amount of choices in Ennis, so we were happy to find this gem. The service was great. Reasonably priced also. We have been in the area for a month and had had our fill of steak and burgers. LOL We wanted Italian. Went to Big Sky and were very disappointed. Came to Tavern 287 and had amazing spaghetti and meatballs (see pic). Most items are made in house. It shows. The sauce was incredible. I wish there had been more of it. It was a little light compared to the amount of noodles. Meatballs were tasty, but not all sausage, as is often the case. I’m not a fan of a ball of sausage. Macaroons at the end were a nice treat. Perfect. No alcohol served here, but it’s conveniently available through the door at the establishment next door for you to drink with your dinner. We will definitely return before we leave town.

Everything we tried was so so Delicious! Apple Brie sandwich, pork ramen, Irish beef stew. The French fries were SPECIAL! Better than any fries I've eaten in Los Angeles or nyc. Wow what a gem of a spot you must stop here!

Absolutely incredible from start to finish. Beginning with the BUTTER! I’ve travelled around the world and this is some of the best butter I’ve ever had- creamy, salty, sweet. The beet salad was divine, and the baked brie was perfection.
For entrees we had the wagyu and spaghetti with meatballs — the latter’s meatballs were almost better than the wagyu!
The macarons left us with a delightful final taste. We were so full and happy. It was a wonderful addition to our trip.
And of course 5 star service, very kind and so quick! We were in and out within the hour.
Id come all the way back to ennis just to repeat this dining experience .

We had our wedding dinner there in September and it was fabulous. Bruce and his staff did everything to make sure all of our guests were taken care of. Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. We make sure we eat there everything we are in ennis. Bison meatloaf is my fav.
