Blue Moon Saloon

We had the greatest time here while visiting Montana. Shawna and Steve are the best host we’ve had. Only nine RV spots made it very intimate, Not to mention facing fields with beautiful mountains and a herd of cattle next to our spot. The saloon and the food they served was wonderful with great atmosphere as well.
Highly recommend!!!

Lovely, comfortable and cozy cabins with kitchens makes this an ideal place to stay. We were camping in a tent but the cold weather sent us indoors. Fantastic views all around this area. Restaurant nearby has a reasonable selection of delicious food!

This is a great place to stop! Steve is super accommodating and an absolutely great guy. Welcome to us with open arms and we ended up hanging out with him for most of the evening after we had dinner.

The saloon is cool and the country fried steak was on point.

The cabins definitely have a shorter ceiling, but they are very cozy and the view of the sun coming over the mountains on the front porch of the cabin in the morning was fantastic

We selected this establishment as it was conviniently located between West Yellowstone and Virginia City. Check in was quick and the host very polite and pleasant. The cabin was great for a family of 5. The Saloon itself served up great food and wonderful selection of beers and offered takeaway back to the cabin. I highly recommend it for a stay.

Great spot! Lovely owners! I've just found this place and only had their delicious appetizers so far, but they were amazing! Best mozzarella sticks ever!
Looking forward to my next visit for a full meal.

Enjoyed the stay. Wish I had stayed here at the start of my trip. Owner was super friendly and shared details where animals can be sighted in and around yellowstone. Will definitely stay here again if I get to travel again. Highly recommended. Cabin was small but adequate for 4 adults and well maintained.

This place has a quaint rustic old west atmosphere. The owners are very helpful and go the extra mile to ensure you have a good stay. The cabins are old but I like it they have all the essentials. It is kind of like going back in time to simpler days when things were not so crazy. The views across the valley are breathtaking. It's a great place to stay when you are done fishing, hunting, hiking, horse back riding etc. They also have good food . If you are looking for a place to escape from the insane world we live in give Blue Moon a go.

Fridge and freezer were the perfect size for our cooler things and to refreeze our ice packs, bed was comfy, we made breakfast the next morning. Had everything we needed, It was a good stop.

Great burgers, and very friendly service. This is the real Montana, and the building has a lot of history. It was a nice place to grab a bite on a long walk across America.

We stayed in the RV park 2 years ago. The history of the saloon is cool. This time around we drove down from Bozeman to have some food, drinks and pick up some Blue Moon Saloon swag.

Did not have the chance to try the food, but stayed in cabin #5 and it was a good experience.
Bathroom was clean, beds good and clean, owner was friendly and made arrangements since we got there after 09:00pm.
I will definitely stay in the cabins again when traveling to Yellowstone again!

We were staying at the Madison Bend Campground, and appreciated that Blue Moon was closer than Ennis! All four of us loved our food - one friend talked about how amazing his burger was for a full day afterward. My husband and I both got the pork rib special, that came with a grilled polenta cake and roasted veggies. All of it was delicious! We shared the cherry brownie, and left no bites behind. Our friend got the homemade ice cream sandwich, which was another winner. Would definitely recommend this place!

The new owners have really improved this restaurant, bar, RV park. The dinner is what made me take the time to write this review, I had the fried shrimp which was excellent, my wife had a salad that was fresh and on a cold plate. My friends also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The best was saved for last, fresh pies baked daily by Darcy, one of the owners. I can truly say that I have never had better apple pie, the crust was fantastic. They feature a different desert each day.

We had the country fried steak that comes with 3 sides, and it was great. The staff was fantastic. Very friendly. The restaurant was busy and even some folks eating in the attached bar and this was a Wednesday. They also have cabins and a small convenience store. We also purchased a Blue Moon Saloon shirt and hat. Live music on Saturday nights. We will miss this great place. Thanks for a great experience.

The people who own and run the Blue Moon are very warm and friendly people as well as the staff that works there. The food is great and they have the best burgers I ever had. The atmosphere is warm and friendly that matches the staff and everyone who comes in looking for a good meal or a place to stay for a few nights.

As a hunter this place is a godsend. They have showers and laundry facilities. This is very valuable when hunting Bear and Wall Creek. The food is fantastic and the service is top notch. I have been there 20 years ago and the atmosphere is still as amazing as I remember. The country store they have is also great and keeps you from running into Ennis. Darci always has a smile on her face and has been more than nice to us every time we went. Thank you guys for keeping an icon going! Btw I was the guy with the broken ribs!

My kids loved it. It was great. I like that. There was no TV there to enjoy the scenery and surrounding view. It was great

Ate at the Blue Moon this evening. The building is divided into Bar, Restaurant and Dance hall sections. The restaurant serves about 30 at a time plus meals are served in the bar. The atmosphere was casual and we liked it. We were referred to the Blue Moon by locals. Excellent food. We had the seafood platter special-shrimp, scallops, oysters and fish. All were hand-battered and fried. Batter was so light and it almost is not a batter, and, it was seasoned very nicely. Dustin, one of the owners, I think, was very friendly and helpful with the menu and with the beer choice which was an excellent local beer. Moderately priced for the area and well worth it.

We have been here for a month and thoroughly enjoyed the people and the place. The restaurant has excellent food and everyone is happy to help you with directions to local events and places. We are full time RVers and tend to stay away from the congested sardine can type of RV park. This place is perfect for getting into Yellowstone, Virginia City and traveling or hiking trails and backroads.
