Josephine's Restaurant

This place is pretty sweet! It seems you have to reserve to get any interesting seats, but hey, the atmosphere was acceptable. There is a lovely fire pit outside, which was super warm.

There wasn't really a wait period as I arrived and was seated almost immediately. The caveat was that it seemed only two spots were open for walk-ins. Massive bummer

The server I had was an awesome dude who had great energy and was very welcoming and knowledgeable about various menu items.
I had ordered a Maple old fashioned which was splendid and not too intense. The male did, in fact, compliment the strong alcoholic taste.
I also ordered the calamari, which was delicious, I suggest the spicy sauce as it added tons of life.
Next was the main course, which was the chicken cordinbleu, which was delicious. The sauce is perfect.

Dessert was a cheese thing that wasn't that good as it clashed with the crackers, in my opinion, but whatever... over all, it was an awesome experience.

Super good. This is a small restraunt with outside seating and not very many tables. It's recommended that you get reservations a day ahead. I tried brunch, but I'll be back for the dinner! It was so good I forgot to get a picture. Zeppoles were sweet and delicious. Got a couple sandwiches, very well made.

Nice place service good. Food very good. Say us out in the plastic enclosure right by the floor heater. Was in the upper 60s temp wise. Heater was roasting us. Asked if the one heat lamp could be turned off. They came and turned it slightly away from us... Still pretty hot but wouldn't turn it off. They said it gets cold pretty fast when you turn it off. Thing is it wasn't cold outside. I was wearing shorts. So though it wasn't 70 degrees... At 65 degrees outside, then temp would not drop that fast. People also keep spaces warm. And there was only us and. Two ladies at another table. They didn't care when he asked. But stayed on right next to us even though it was not needed. We quickly got through what we ordered and got out of there.

We were treating our Neighbors to a little dinner. We are local and have been to Josephine's many times. Tonight was simply the best. Kyra, our waitress, greeted us with a huge smile and kindness. We started with a bottle of Pessimist from Paso Robles. Hubby is from CA and we live that wine region. As soon as Kyra started pouring our wine I think all 4 of us said "it smells amazing". Then we tasted it! Oh my goodness it was perfect. We had the Korean lettuce wraps as an appetizer, very good and left a little tingle on our lips. The hubbies loved their Chicken mole dish. Sharon loved her salmon, it was cooked to perfection. I was deciding between the beef short ribs and the pork osso bucco. I asked Kyra suggestion. She struggled as they are both her favorites. She recommended the beef short ribs. These were tied (little restaurant in the Caribbean) as the best short ribs I have ever tasted. I only ate half my meal. Two reasons: I get amazing leftovers and I gave room for dessert . We shared the limoncello cheesecake. I asked if we could have enough whip cream for 4. When Kyra brought our dessert I just smiled and gave her a huge thank you! I noticed that she periodically looked over to our table. I keep saying oh my goodness this is simply fantastic. I stopped by and chatted with the manger to let him know how ANAZING the meal and Kyra were. He was very appreciative! We look forward to our next trip to Josephine's.

Came here for the Thanksgiving dinner with my family and everything was amazing. The food was fantastic as was the service. Some of the best thanksgiving food I’ve actually ever had. It was served “catering style/buffet”. We were happy and stuffed when we left, would definitely come back if we’re ever in the area. Thank you, to Josephine’s employees for working the holidays for those of us who were traveling.

First time here and it did not disappoint. Celebration for our anniversary and our server, Daniel, was outstanding in every aspect. Had the French onion braised short ribs, sweet potato gnocchi with pepita pesto cream sauce and the Southwestern crab cake appetizer. Ended with peach crisp and limoncello cheesecake. Raspberry lemon drop is amazing. Cute little bungalow atmosphere. Will definitely return when back in Flagstaff.

Excellent dining experience at Josephine’s! A couple at a bar in Sedona recommended this place to me and I had to try it out and so glad I did. I was seated earlier than my reservation right by the roaring fire. The baklava pistachio Brie is a must. I also had the sweet potato gnochhi with veggies and cheese which I also highly recommend. Service was prompt and friendly 10/10! Stop by if you’re in the flagstaff area, cheers!

My husband and I were spending one night in Flagstaff and he knows I like restaurants with unique dishes, wonderful atmosphere and great customer service. Josephine did not disappoint. Our server was Daniel. He gave us the perfect amount of attentiveness and he had great recommendations for us. My husband had the seared salmon, I had, sweet potato gnocchi, beer and wine. The servings were just the right size . This is a house with separate rooms. We were seated in front of the fireplace, in a room off to the side. Our evening was exponentially charming! This is the type of food that’s tasted as good as it looked! I could never make this good of good at home ! Thank you !!!!!

One of the best restaurants in Flagstaff. Every time I come here everything is perfect. Can't recommend enough.

One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a while. Definitely the best place we’ve tried in Flagstaff thus far. Both entrees were delicious, decent drink selection including local, and good service. We’ll visit again the next time we’re in Flagstaff.

Josephine's is a must visit restaurant in Flagstaff. My wife and I loved everything. A little off the beaten path, they provide excellent food and drinks in a cozy, rustic setting. I liked their special house Old Fashioned so much I had to order a couple more. We ordered the fried green tomato appetizer, filet mignon, spicy shrimp pasta, a side of risotto florentine, and the creme brulee. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our filet was a perfect medium rare and melted in my mouth. Chewing was almost optional it was so tender. The shrimp pasta surpassed my expectations in both depth and variety of flavor. The risotto florentine was not quite what I expected but a welcome surprise. I highly recommend ordering it as a side if your meal does not include it already. The creme brulee had a thicker than usual caramelized crust on top which I loved. Our service was excellent and our waitress was very attentive. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

This food was SO delicious. We got the banana fosters French toast, pork loin eggs Benedict & steak and potatoes. The portions were huge we couldn’t finish all of our food. The restaurant is so cozy, clean, beautiful and they have live music. We will 100% be traveling back to flagstaff just to come here.

This place is a gem! The house is charming, with outdoor patios that will be nice when there isn't snow. Everyone working there was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Our waiter, Daniel, made some excellent suggestions and added to the enjoyment of the meal.
The star here is the food. I looked at the menu in advance, and every single dish sounded interesting. Each item has something different, or something extra, or something surprising. And each and every thing we ate was special and delicious.

Great ambiance, professional staff, amazing wine selection. Food is 10/10! Everything on the 4 course menu was deliciously thought of. Would strongly recommend.

Appetizer was the fried green tomatoes. Flavors, Toppings and presentation was on point! Champagne Vinaigrette Salad and Southwestern Bean Quinoa Burger was great! Full of fresh flavor. For dessert, the Affogato and Bourbon Pecan Pie topped it off nicely!
First time eating here and the only upset is that I’ve been missing out all the years I've lived in Flagstaff.

Wonderful patio dinning with a great staff. Perfect if you are looking for a place with great food and atmosphere that is also dog friendly. Loved it so much we came back after Saturday night dinner for Sunday brunch. Both were wonderful, yet distinctly different experiences.

Some delicious food and flavors, excellent steak and salmon. Our appetizer was the fried green tomato caprese and it was delicious.

The Lemoncello cheesecake was phenomenal, and the creme brulee was also great.

This place is absolutely AMAZING. From the service to the cocktails, to the appetizer and our main meals, we had NOTHING but great things to say!!! I got the lemon drop, beef lettuce wraps (wowwww!), and spicy seafood stew (“cioppino I think?”) and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Kiera was our waitress and she was FABULOUS! Sooo attentive and sweet. We also heard the manager talking to another table and he provided such great customer service- we were so impressed. We are tempted to drive back up from Sedona tonight to eat here again it was that good! Thanks for making our flagstaff trip great!!

Absolutely Delicious, atmosphere and service were impeccable. Will definitely be Back again .
