Beautiful dining, fabulous food and service. Amazing vegan spaghetti and stir fry. Great place for a date or special occasion meal! Our waiter was so helpful with my dietary restrictions. He communicated with the chef for me, and came up with a unique meal to suit my tastes. GREAT experience.

It’s a dark, comfy place to enjoy a fantastic meal with good friends. Portions are generous, the meat and fish are cooked to perfection, and the sauces are bold & flavorful. Chef’s specialties change often, so there’s always something new to try. The desserts are fun - don’t miss the hand-made truffles!

Wonderful place to eat and relax! Went there with a friend of mine and enjoyed everything from the atmosphere, the delicious food and the awesome selection of wines that were offered at this restaurant. Will definitely go back to Blade’s Bistro and enjoy once again a delightful experience.

A nice upscale dining experience without prices that make you think twice before ordering.
We started with a house salad with a light balsamic dressing. The soup du jour was a nice New England clam chowder.
The main courses were horseradish crusted New York steak, seared Halibut and a pasta dish with shrimp, scallops and lobster. All the sauces were top shelf.
We had a rose wine that was flavorful yet light so it didn't interfere with the delicate flavors of the sauces.
For desert we had a bread pudding, cappuccinos finished with a desert wine.
Service was excellent, covering all the bases without interrupting our experience.
Will visit again and this time get the pasta!

We had the peach caprese salad and con frutti de mare. Both were spectacular. The service and atmosphere were likewise excellent. This was an absolute joy,

This place is so so good! I made a reservation last Friday but I called them to make sure it went through. They were getting ready to close but the chef was willing to make our food and everyone was so friendly! The prices are very good and the quality of food is excellent. Looking forward to going back.

Went here on a whim after a hike nearby. Very satisfied with this restaurant and will be back. The food was very reasonably priced and the ribeye steak was delicious. The staff were polite and attentive and the restaurant has a classy ambience to it.

A restaurant in which fresh ingredients and contact with the guests are of paramount importance. The owners, the couple; Chef Kevin and Anja guarantee this. A gem on the North side of Albuquerque. Definitely worth driving a few miles for!

I have only been here twice and I am stuck between 4 and 5 stars.

The first time we went, everyone we interacted with was truly exceptional. The food was pretty great and the bread pudding was yum. I fell in love with the Georgia mule that someone else got, but wasn't as into the margarita (which I've heard is to die for).

The second time was for Restaurant Week. The hostess (sister of the chef, I think) was so nice, had great insight and was wonderful to interact with. We didn't see our waitress for a pretty long time, which we didn't mind too much given how busy it was...but when she finally arrived, she was rude and fairly dismissive. She brought out soup without a spoon, and it took a few minutes before we could get her attention to ask for one. We left quickly instead of staying to savor the food because her demeanor was distracting away from the food.

I did thoroughly enjoy the shrimp and grits though! Excellent cajun flavor although I wouldn't have minded a little heat. The grits were creamy and well prepared.

The last time I went I chose the fish of the day and it was amazing - I would definitely recommend giving dinner a try!

Had a wonderful experience and am looking forward to going back soon. We expect Blades' Bistro will become one of our go to spots for a last minute meal. Relaxed meal but the place a lot of energy. We did not at all feel rushed. Wonderfully professional service. Really enjoyed the food; Creative take on the staples. Super value. Brussel sprouts were baked and not fried, nice for health, touch dry. Interesting twist on classic Frutti Di Mare with a creamy sauce. I wouldn't say this publicly, but the deserts are under priced for what you get. Delicious. Highly recommend.

You have to have a reservation. More open tables than anything. Not an atmosphere for your family.

My wife took me here for my birthday and it was one of the best places to dine. I couldn't remember in recent memory having such a wonderful experience. The food, wait staff, ambiance and the owners especially were awesome. Highly recommended.

Food was absolutely delicious - we ordered way too much. Cannot say enough about how good the wedge salad was. Yum! Tuna poke was perfect! The beef we took home was extra special as leftovers on a salad at home the next day. Thanks for a wonderful date night meal, Blades' Bistro!

Top notch dining, small and intimate. Always try the nightly specials, they are excellent. The staff went above and beyond to make our night out special. One of the best kept secrets in ABQ fine dining!

decided to give this another visit. I am NEVER disappointed in the food, ambience or service. the food is consistently great!

I hadn't been there in awhile and was wondering how they fared during the pandemic. Not only did they survive, they thrived. this is a testament to their wonderful food. I am so happy they are still around. it is one of my favorite places for dining and i always get a warm welcome from the owners. it is so nice to be able to enjoy a lovely dining experience.

I had the trout (special) and my friend had the steak frites. arguably one of the best steaks around.

i recommend making reservations and having a little patience. they are short staffed like everyone else but definitely worth the wait. so sit back, have a glass of wine and soak up the ambience.

this is a neighborhood gem and a brilliant gem at that!
