I wanted to thank Bret Champion along with the rest of the school employees for their efforts in making the start of the 2020 school year as painless as possible during such a challenging time. I am impressed and thankful for the abundance of communication I have received not only in my emails but texts. My daughters are adapting to the new platform and off to as good of a start possible. Thank goodness for Bret taking over the superintendent position when he did. I couldn’t be more impressed with him! Thank you!

The leadership and district care about our kids and try to meet the needs of the families even during crazy times like COVID.

Didn't object to me drawing electronically in class as long as my work was done.

Blacktop has not opened in three months, there are some good parts but mostly a trashy experience. pizza tastes like someone dipped it in toilet water then sat on it. It’s education at least, but it could be done so much better.

The rest of these reviews are quite funny to say the least, one saying that there isn't enough s a u c e. But I have multiple problems with the district. My teachers I had last year were fine but that is yet to change with the incoming school year that we'll take online. Although I can't seem to understand why we can't keep our privacy online. Sure, some people search inappropriate things on the district's chrome books, but that doesn't mean we are all required to give out our information. We should at least have a filter for those who do wrong and those who don't. If a staff has bothered to read my review, what if YOUR information and emails were to be constantly checked, stressful life it sounds sometimes, doesn't it? I would also like you technicians to stop using CAT 5 Cables, they are so outdated. Just buy a cheap router for every computer room and make sure that the computers can connect to them wirelessly. Also, could you, and I beg sincerely to fix your system where some websites "Can't be reached"? You could literally go to the nearest Fast Food restaurant and even connecting to their WiFi allows you to go anywhere. And for those websites that can't be reached but aren't allowed to have access to, either just label it as an site that has been flagged to not be necessary for school, at least my previous school had that ability.

The Medford school district is absolutely atrocious. I had two sons that went to schools in the district for several years. My youngest is extremely intelligent and because of that he would often get bored and lose attention in class. During his kindergarten year they moved him to special education. I fought against the move as much as I could. Here's the clincher, I believe the Medford school district uses special education to segregate students who they believe might pull down the districts average standardized testing scores. Why would they do that? Because their funding from the state is directly attached to their standardized testing scores AND special education students don't factor into their average. It seems that this school district has a much higher amount of special education students then the national average. We left the district and moved out of state when my youngest was in third grade. At that point he couldn't read, had next to no understanding of math and was WELL below grade level in every metric. Special education in this district is basically just daycare where they let your child rot educationally. After 2 years in a poorly funded school district in another state he is now well above grade level in all areas, he is writing in depth graphic novels and is finding great success. While there were a couple of teachers in Medford school district that were really great (for my oldest) the overwhelming majority didn't put out much effort. Staff and administrators had really poor attitudes and were often confrontational when questioned regarding decisions they were making that deeply effected my son. If you are having trouble in this district it is well worth it to leave. Your child's future literally depends on the path they start out on in school.

I am so sorry for these people who work here. I don’t know if it’s the job, or personal things, but so few people working for this company are kind or compassionate. Some of them are outright cruel. I hope they all get what they need to be more compassionate beings 🙏

My sons bus arrives anywhere from 40 minutes early to an hour late for drop off. And pickup, if they show up outside of the 5 minute window, they won’t wait. They just drive on by and lie that they waited. And the response? “If you don’t like it, you can drive him to school yourself” These are the wrong people to have anywhere near education.

I actually considered working for First Student, now that I have access to childcare. I have seen how short staffed they are, and understand the desperate need for more employees. But no way in the world would I work with people who, on more than a couple occasions, showed sincere indifference and downright heartlessness.

School system is broken. Teachers no longer care about student success they would rather COVID continue so that they can keep getting paid vacations. The corrupt teachers union is keeping many auful and entitled teachers in the system.

when I was a student at that school one time my teacher told us the if we raise are hands we well get a referral even if we need to use the restroom and ask question. My friend got in trouble for just raising her hand .`The food was not that good. Their was a party of the ELD kids and my brother was in that class I was too but my brother was not allowed to join the party and I ask why and they said because your brother is rude ad I never said anything. I was build and I told the teacher and they said I was liar so I told them who was the kid and ask him and he said no. The one thing I like about the school class. It has been 4 years that I left that school. Have you heard that their was a woman that crash a car through the school. That was my brothers dad car .
