Lussi Brown Coffee Bar

I meant to write a review for this coffee shop, but here it goes. This shop is located in a corner in downtown Lexington. If you don't know what you're looking for, you might have easily missed this shop as it is inconspicuous. Once you enter the shop, do not let it fool you. This coffee shop/bar serves a fantastic cocktail selection and strong-tasting coffees. There is more setting in the back of the shop, where you must be at least 21 to go in after 12 p.m. I sat in the back after ordering my coffee and then cocktail to do some school work and enjoy the lounge. It is quiet and cozy enough to do your job or relax with a friend or two to chat.

I would say this place is one of the most unique places I've been to here in Lexington, and I highly recommend it to those coffeeholic who also love their cocktail drinks.

We have visited over 50 coffee shops in the country over the last year. This was our favorite spot. Best coffee and waffles we ever had.

Best coffee spot downtown Lexington and beyond. First of all, they actually serve their coffee in mugs. Maybe I'm crazy but for me it's a whole different experience when drinking an incredible latte from a mug

Second, I have to say their specialty lattes are some of the most unique and delicious lattes.

Third, they are open till 10:30pm. As someone who works late, I need caffeine late at night. Lussi's is warm and welcoming no matter what time of the day or night. Buddy who works the night shift is amazing and always greets you with a warm smile.

Fourth, where else can you get alcoholic coffee beveragea, now, I'm not a major drinker but combining great coffee with alcohol has to be genius!

Fifth, the backroom is so comfortable and always lively with patrons. Comfy seating, free wifi, and awesome atmosphere, what more can anyone ask for? Except another drink!

Also the atmosphere of this place is great. Wish to come back here one day.

This place is so cool! Coffee and cafe drinks available all day, alcoholic beverages in the afternoon/evening. The coffee is good and they have tons of board and card games in the back. Overall the atmosphere is what really makes this place stand out - it's relaxed, friendly, quiet. If I'm ever back in Lexington I'll definitely stop in!

Relaxing atmosphere in the back while I drank my Irish coffee. Adult beverages on point, so not a kid friendly establishment.
Lexington has many choices for coffee, but this place takes it up a notch for atmosphere and mixed coffee drinks.

This place has some amazing drinks. I ordered the old fashioned (made with cold brew) and it was one of my favorite cocktails I have ever had. The balance of the coffee and whiskey was perfect and I can’t wait to try other drinks on the menu! Staff was super friendly and helpful and the outdoor seating was perfect for a chill afternoon.

Absolutely love Lussi Brown! They have amazing drinks with seasonal specials, and various delicious pastries and small bites depending on what is locally available. Cute spot and great staff.

I liked the vibes there very much. Friendly staff and of course I recommend the Scottish coffee. It was one of the best. It was my first time there but definitely would come back

Best cappuccino in Lex. Mixed drinks are amazing too. Super friendly staff. Parking stinks but truly worth the park and walk! Love this place. I drive from Georgetown several times a week just for their coffee.

I was so happy we were able to stop by on our last trip to Lexington! Great atmosphere, fun decor, lovey staff. My buzzed grasshopper was delicious. And their "pick your poison" tagline? Amazing. Definitely on my list of Lexington favorites!

The coffee was amazing! Tried the bees knees and the flavor was great! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very welcoming and comforting. I would definitely come back again and recommend!

Love the atmosphere and drinks here. Awesome coffee shop with great vibes. I ordered the Bees Knees(iced) and it was packed with flavor. Also highly recommend the Golden Waffle. It was so yummy. Husband ordered green tea and it was delicious.
21+ due to alcohol being served if you sit inside. Plenty of signs posted to give that info and please be prepared to show it to the nice people.

I had the preppy mint and it was really good, I loved that it wasn't overly sweet.

I'm really glad that I found this place. I was driving through town and looking for a place to work for a couple hours. Parking can be tricky but there's a paid lot across the street. There's not a lot of tables here, but I like that because it prevents it from getting too crowded. The staff is very friendly, they have two unisex bathrooms and the coffee is outstanding. I even bought some art that I saw on the wall. I will definitely make this a workplace When I visit Lexington again.

I moved to Lexington, Kentucky from the Dallas area in Texas and finding a new local coffee spot felt important to me. I've been to several coffee shops since my husband and I moved, but I can say without a doubt that Lussi Brown Coffee Bar is my favorite coffee shop to stop in. It has a wonderful, inclusive atmosphere, the staff is always friendly and helpful with recommendations, and depending on what I'm in the mood for, I can order a boozy or regular coffee. 10/10 would recommend. I tell all my Texas friends to come here when they visit. ❤
