Village Books of Southern Oregon

New owners have relocated, taking with them the inventory from the old place. They're still trading for store credit! As of this review, they're still organizing and getting some things in order, but it's much like the Village Books of old in many regards: great prices, expansive collection, nice atmosphere.

Cute little local bookshop. They do sell vinyl records, but they're at Pickers Paradise booth #190.

Wonderful couple opened last year and what a bookstore they have put together. I came in and asked for a bit of an obscure book and they had it. Prices are really a bit inexpensive so much that I left a couple dollars extra. The customer service was worth more than the price of the book. If you are a reader and book lover Village Books is for you.

Glad a most charming couple rescued and took over. Could easily get lost all day. You never know what treasures you may find. Like our find of some Wendell Berry.

One of my most favorite used book stores! I know you can get a lot of books on Amazon, but why not support a really great local store. Great prices honestly cheaper than Amazon when you calculate in shipping costs (used books don't use prime delivery). PLUS you get to feel and see the book before you buy it! The store is clean, books are well taken care of and there is a wide selection. They even have a good selection of children's books! Please support your local businesses, especially this one!

I spent a hour here getting and looking at books and just loved it. Used books have a smell to them, it's great. The man helping us was a really nice guy too. Found 20 books within my "guides" for a gift idea for my son and found soo many I had to decide what I NEEDED, putting some back.

Amazing independant bookstore, the kind that satisfies

Pleasant family run bookstore. My wife and I spent a couple hours just browsing without the owner pressuring us to buy anything. Impressive selection and variety of books as well as vinyl records and comic books. I was surprised by how many classic comics there were. We are definitely coming back!

EXCELLENT BOOK STORE!!! So pleased and inspired to find this welcoming place and its friendly proprietor ready to guide me through the well-organized shelves upon shelves of great books to locate my works of interest and invariably discover new interests in so doing. Books are a wealth beyond measure, allowing us to embrace other narratives and knowledge and thus free and expand our own. Used books from a local family-owned bookstore are the best entertainment and education/personal growth value for the price! Grateful to have you, Village Books, here in the heart of Medford.

Great shop. Friendly atmosphere. Quiet like a library. I tagged the shop on Facebook after finding a radio show there on vinyl. The owner then dug some more out for me to look through.

Gary has a large inventory of books and vinyl albums, and is very helpful in finding what you are looking for. Fun place to shop!
