Winchester Inn

First visit to this inn and loved it! Impeccable room (Catherine M.) with everything you need. Super friendly staff. The gourmet breakfast had great options and food was superb. Highly recommend, especially due to the great location to downtown.

Very grateful for the empathetic owners of this fabulous place. I had booked it thinking it was in another state when I realized I had booked the wrong place. The owners were very gracious to give me a refund. My only regret is that I didn’t actually get to stay at the place and will go out of my way to go there

Absolutely wonderful stay!! I was here for 5 days and felt so pampered. The Sylvan room was clean, comfortable and always made up perfectly. The daily pastry was such a treat! The cooked-to-order breakfast was outstanding. The staff always friendly and helpful. Great location to walk to downtown and Lithia Park. Highly recommend!

Always feel special staying at The Winchester Inn when we go to the Caberet next door for a show. We always request the Garden Room as it has a lovely window seat in which one can sit and look down at the pretty garden area below. The bed is soft and snuggly with wonderful clean linens and even special cookies waiting for you when you arrive. We love this place.

We stayed there for a week. It is an amazing place. Rooms are spacious and we loved the mattress in our bed. Perfect two course breakfast every day and the staff was always friendly and very accomodating. If you are planning on spending some quality time in Ashland, we highly reccommend Winchester Inn.

We stayed for 2 nights in the Hargadine. The place was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. The innkeepers were really sweet and accommodating. The Alchemy restaurant downstairs is wonderful! They make a 2 course breakfast to order with your reservation and we decided to reserve for dinner that same day. Great location. It’s close to a lot of shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful inn with lovely breakfast! Able to accommodate needing Gluten-free food and it was delicious. Our room was big, comfortable and quiet! A wonderful anniversary weekend thanks to Winchester Inn!

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here! The Marjorie Roy Room was beautifully furnished, very comfortable and clean. The attention to detail is outstanding - plenty of outlets, in room tea and coffee, and the ability to stream our own content providers. Top-notch service, substantial breakfast and central but quiet location. I look forward to our next stay there!

Winchester Inn was a lovely B&B right in the heart of Ashland. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the breakfast was delicious. I’m normally hesitant about ordering omelets because they are so often overcooked, but the french omelet at Winchester was prepared perfectly. The lemon poppyseed pancakes were also incredible. We loved our stay at the Winchester Inn and we look forward to coming back for our future trips to Ashland.

Wonderful friendly staff. The rooms are all unique. We stayed in the patio room. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious 😋. Our 2 course breakfast was yummy. The location is perfect right in the middle of everything, only a few minutes walk from shops, plays, and restaurants. Highly recommended. I will always stay at the Winchester Inn when I visit Ashald again.

Just spent 3 nights here as the midpoint in Thanksgiving travel. This place is a gem of an oasis with unique beautiful rooms, all different, and the welcoming amenities of flowers and treats are an elegant touch. Beds are comfy with lovely grapefruit soaps and lotions. Alchemy on the grounds offers wonderful menu items, wines and specialty cocktails. Breakfasts served are delightful as well.

The rooms each have their own lovely decor and special characteristics to them. I love all the amenities in the room and the bed was insanely comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I can’t wait to come back, they have earned a lifelong customer.

Incredible! Comfort and beyond. Romantic room - big beautiful bathroom...fantastic service...gourmet free breakfast! Beyond all I hoped. Highly recommend. Great location to walk downtown Ashland! Close to the OSF theater.

This was such a great deal (the month of February is off season) at $105/night that I truly was not expecting much out of this stay. Wow, this ended up becoming one of the best stays I’ve ever had. The room was amazing, with just about every amenity (including bath robes, kettle to boil water for tea, etc) one can think of. Everything was immaculate and the bed was divine. There were even fresh pastries in the room. If it had ended right there, I would already have given 5 stars. But wait, they provide complimentary breakfast and it was truly one of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Everything is freshly made and I asked for extra poached eggs on the side, and didn’t even get charged for it. Service was absolutely amazing, and Rachel was very attentive and accommodating. As if that all wasn’t enough, after I checked out, I was even offered the kitchen sink to wash out my dirty coffee bottle (I left it in the car overnight). I’m so, so impressed with the entire experience. I wish I could give it 10 stars.

My husband and I stayed there the last night of our honeymoon, and it was amazing! Very cute room, with classic touches and an up-to-date bathroom. The breakfast was superb. We'll definitely be back (especially if it stays so affordable!).

My partner have come here twice now and are already planning our next trip up from SF! We love the Winchester Inn and Alchemy restaurant so much. The beds, baths, robes, views, everything feels like being wrapped in a warm hug. This is our happy place.

Great B&B! Beautiful rooms, very comfortable beds, nicest sheets I've ever slept on! Very clean and modern showers. Breakfast is included with room price and breakfast was amazing - $40 value! Would definitely recommend staying here - our favorite hotel during our road trip to Cali. Also staff is very friendly. We arrived late in the evening so they offered a late check out if we needed it as well...

Fantastic property if you like the quaint Inn / B&B atmosphere. Easily walk 5 min to the center of downtown Ashland, theaters and the park. Phenomenal food and excellent service.

A must stay if visiting Ashland. We stayed in the Queen Anne room, a king & twin bed with an in-suite bathroom. The room was very spacious and the bed was the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. The staff was extremely helpful and so kind. We skipped breakfast at the hotel our first morning and opted for a local cafe, but after our breakfast at the Inn our second morning, we regretted skipping our breakfast the day before. Their scones were made perfectly and served with a delicious nut butter. We had their poached eggs and Canadian bacon on English muffins and it was delicious. Everything we ate that morning was superb. If we ever visit Ashland again, we are staying at the Winchester.

Quiet, well appointed, clean, comfortable. Most importantly, room was within stumbling distance of Alchemy restaurant. Staff was friendly, most helpful and accommodating.

Only 1 complaint. Hot water supply is apparently quite distant from the out buildings. Took a long time running water to get hot water for bath or shower.
