Great little park. There’s a splash area for kids that is available from late Spring (around Memorial Day weekend) to late summer. You need to push a button on the outside of the restroom wall to activate the water. This park does not have a traditional playground (swings, slide) but offers a large sand pit, climbing rock, cute tunnel and a big grassy area. The plants and landscaping are nice; there’s a park sign touting that it’s been planted for a monarch way-station. Visitors will find a small cement trail that can be followed from the play area up a small hill to a unique, shady gazebo with benches. At the base of the park is a court for basketball or tennis, as well as a covered area with picnic tables. The park is dog friendly. No tobacco or smoke allowed.

It's such a nice & clean park. One where you can take your family to & feel safe about your kids playing in the sand bc rest assure no tweakers have ruined it. & there's blackberry bushes around the area too which personally I love harvesting in general so that was fun for me. Overall, it's a great park that I'll be taking my sons back to go play at & a 5☆'s well deserved rating.

This is probably the most unique and clean playgrounds in Medford. Nicknamed by locals “The Sand Park”, this playground is halfway paved with sand.
Next to the sand area is a sector with water spray amenities, providing a water park/spray park component. The water structures are setup to directly interact with the sand area with a streamline flowing down a play structure to the sand area. The park is clean, it’s safe, very friendly atmosphere, and most impressive is that everyone had fun across the spectrum of ages (myself 35yrs old, my 8yr old daughter, & 3yr old son)

Well maintained lawn, nice sandy and water play for kids, I have yet to see a transient in this area; which is honestly why we come here. Very nice, family friendly park.

The Hiking Park exceeded my expectations in every way. The trails were marked with care, ensuring a safe and enjoyable journey. Along the way, I encountered a variety of plant and animal species, making it a fantastic educational opportunity. The park's commitment to preserving the environment is commendable and something I deeply appreciated.

It’s a nice little park. My fiancé and I like taking pictures at the gazebo on the uphill side of the park

This park is so lovely that I hesitate to leave a good review because I don't want it to get too busy.

If you have young kids, the focal point is the sand area (my 6 and 3-year-old call it The Sand Park). The sand is very soft and fine, in a pit area next to a covered picnic area. Many kids go barefoot and share sand toys brought by their parents. In the summer it has a raised "stream" that feeds into the sand area, but the kids still enjoy the stream structure in the off season too.
There is also a play area with a few bear statues and a tunnel, and another area with a stone climbing structure. Also of interest is paved paths including a natural history walk, with little tiles, and a wooded overlook.

I haven't seen the park in the summer, but I'm very excited. I'm sure it will be beautiful! Other features include a basketball court, a small parking lot with handicap access, and a restroom that is actually open (something you can't always count on in Medford) and attached running drinking fountains. There are two pavilions that are reservable.

tiny parking lot, but street parking available - sad splashed feature but the sand pit and water feature down the sandpit are the star of this park - Small conferred 3x long row of double picnic tables - near the entire sandpit area is completely exposed - hands and feet wash off spray area - two large nice bathrooms NO SOAP PROVIDED

Omg for years I never knew about this place! It's a hidden gem...outlook of a hiking path, 🦖 prints and facts, wall climbing and of course tons of sand and water to have so much fun. My kids love it from 6 months they 15 years.. nice, quite and so far all who come are respectful of the park and other people.. Iove it.

Perfect place to take the kids for the day. Water, sand, rock climbing, path with fun facts, and a bridge. What more can you ask for? It is a beautiful public park. There is also a basketball court but we didnt enjoy it. It has picnic tables with shade to enjoy snacks and to relax. It has an area to wash the sand off your feet. Dont forget sunblock and a towel!! Have fun!

Fun sand pit, very nice neighborhood. We went too early in the year for the water portion of it. Park worker sang a silly happy birthday song to friends daughter since we were there for her birthday party.

First time at this park and my kids loved it! The water feature that is incorporated into the sand box is such a genius idea. Clean park, lots of space for activities! Worth the drive up the hill for sure!

This place is magnificent. Not only that, but peaceful and fun. Assuming you are their to relax, considering the other fun you can have there. There is water, sand and bench for the whole family. I highly recommend this beautiful and sight seeing park. Did I mention there were hiking trails? So ya, its the whole package :) Have fun!

It is so pretty up here. It isn't easy to spot that it is an actual park. There is VERY little to play on: just a cute little bear on a log structure littles can climb through and on. There is a small water park but it wasn't running yet for the season I don't think. And a hidden but huge sand box on the other side of the water park (surely to make your kids very messy with water and sand hah). It was beautiful. Trees, grass, and even a little bench atop of a little no-water pier overlooking the park from a distance. It was definitely one to go back to.

There is a great sandbox here with nice soft sand in it. There is also half a basketball court, a splash pad, a paved trail that has squares of different dinosaurs and a little but about them. Has a bathroom but only one.

Hours of hands-on fun for small kids! The splash pad is pretty bare bones. But the hand pump and sand were a hit with 3 preschool aged boys!

This is a special little park up in the hills. My kiddo played for hours in the sand and water. Clean and respectful place.
