I’m incredibly grateful for finding Dr. Herod and his office. I’ve never felt so confident about my teeth and overall oral health.

Everyone is so friendly and personable. Dr Herod is compassionate and truly the best at what he does. I’ve also seen another dentist in the office and he was fantastic as well! My husband now goes there and I also plan to take my baby when it’s time as I know she’ll be in the best of hands! Thank you for all you do!

I felt compelled to leave a review with my experience with this office and Dr. Herod. I don’t usually leave reviews, which is very hypocritical of me, because I check reviews on every single practice and doctor before I decide to go there 😅.

I have dental anxiety, something fierce. And I also like a dentist that isn’t pushy about things I don’t necessarily agree with or want to use.

However, this office has been amazing. From me scheduling an appt, to Herod calling me to introduce himself and listen to my goals and what I do and don’t want from a dentist office, it’s all been mind blowing.

They worked me in early, because I found what looked like a cavity to me on my two front teeth from Invisalign, but they actually said it was staining. Didn’t make me feel silly or anything. Then they were able to work me in early for a cleaning as well, which was 8-10 months over due and Ester was the best hygienist! I did not have anxiety anymore after about 5 minutes into the appointment because my wants were heard AND respected. Which is actually hard to come by in healthcare.

I literally feel like a brand new woman with my cleaning. And think I have found my new dental home :) also sorry if I spelled anyone’s name wrong. I’m the worst.

I tried 2 other dentists before finding Dr. Herod, and I cannot recommend him enough! I had a molar with an old amalgam filling and another molar with a composite filling from previous dentists, and although I keep my teeth very clean, both teeth were breaking down with time. I worried about the safety of removing an amalgam filling, so I had been looking for a dentist who truly understands and practices the safe mercury amalgam removal technique (SMART), and someone who would answer my questions about his dental approach and my overall health. We called his office with these questions and Dr. Herod personally called us back. Dr. Herod listened to our concerns and took the time to provide education and guidance before we made a decision on conservative treatment, helping me to get my teeth looking beautiful and feeling new again, while removing as little enamel as possible. Dr. Herod and his team worked with us to get scheduled quickly, and he called me after my procedure to check that I was doing well. That is fantastic customer experience! Great work Dr. Herod and team!

The best dentist in the world!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Herod! He is, by far, the best dentist I’ve ever had. I love the way he runs his practice and he is so kind and caring. I was having an issue with my tooth and they fit me in as a new patient the very next day, after he personally called me at 5pm the day before to see what my issue was. I waited less than 2 minutes for my appointment and he spent almost an hour with me, discussing my options. This man is an absolute angel and I’m so glad he was recommended to me.

Our whole family have been patients of Dr Herod for the last 5 years. He is amazing. Our two sons who are 11 & 14 really like him & enjoy going to the dentist. Dr Herod is very knowledgeable about what is the best option for your teeth to keep them healthy. I highly recommend Dr Herod & his practice for your dentistry needs.

I’ve been a patient for almost 10 years now and I’ll never go anywhere else. I’ve always struggled with my teeth and other dental offices never really seemed to care or offer me helpful advice, they just wanted to take my money. Dr. Herod has always been honest with me and offered me solid advice. The front desk staff and hygienists are always super friendly and make me feel comfortable. I was always a person who had anxiety about going to the dentist and was waiting to hear what I did wrong this time. However, since I’ve been a patient with Dr. Herod, I’ve never felt that way. They make me feel important and like they actually care about me.

Dr. Herod has always done a fantastic job as my dentist. He’s very friendly, knowledgeable and personable to his clients. Dr. Herod always makes a point to ask how things are going and is very good at remembering conversations we had from one appointment to the next. His customer service is outstanding and I truly appreciate all that he and his staff do. I would recommend Dr. Herod and his staff to anybody looking for a dentist. As long as I’m in the Richmond area, I will never choose another dentist!

My family and I were longtime patients of Dr. Williams when he ran the practice and I always had quality dental procedures done by him and his staff. I am very pleased to say that Dr Herod and his staff has continued the tradition of providing high-quality dental care. I have had several major procedures done including bridges ,crowns ,and fillings and Dr Herod has provided top-notch care and treatment throughout the entire process. I have been a patient of Dr. Herod's for 3 years. He is very professional and courteous, as are his entire staff. The dental hygienists are superb. They take time to thoroughly examine you, discuss any problems and alternatives for care. Dr. Herod is a master at local anesthesia and is very quick. I recommend him and his practice very highly.

I am a long time patient of this practice..... they are like family!! Dr. Williams we miss you!! Dr. Herod is awesome!! Drs. Neighbors & Herod has been the most wonderful practice for our entire family - not just for my husband and me, but for our four children, too. The entire staff is kind, calm, patient, helpful, and does a fantastic job taking care of all of us. When we have a procedure done, they always call to check to see how we are doing, which means so much to our family. Every single staff member has our best interest at heart, 100% of the time. I highly recommend this group for the entire family. We feel so lucky to have found them!

I've been coming to this practice since I was a kid (I'm 40 now). It was a great practice when Dr. Williams was there, and they made a great choice to have Dr. Herod join when Dr. Williams retired. Everyone is so friendly, accommodating and pleasant. Last year I had a problem with a faulty bite guard and they replaced it for free, no questions asked. So few places practice old school family medicine/dentistry anymore, so this place is especially refreshing. I definitely recommend anyone looking for a new dentist or if they have children who need a family practitioner.

Dr Herod and is staff are great. I had a serious dental issue a couple of years ago and Dr Herod followed up with me after hours and over weekends to make sure I got through it. My whole family goes to him now and we all love the service and attention we get at every visit.

I have truly enjoyed his guidance and the dental experience about as much as anyone can considering it's like having a tooth pulled. I find that he and his team meet me where I am on my health with practical guidance versus forcing uncomfortable and unnecessary treatments upon me. Additionally, he now sees both my teenage sons who are pleased with his approach, guidance and friendly manner.
