Westmoreland Family YMCA

My children have been attending the Westmoreland YMCA after school and summer camp programs since they began their first year in school. They love their counselors and enjoy the variety of games and activities that they play! The Director has been a great role model for our son and helps keep him focused. The location/hours/rates are fair and reasonable.

I would give it a zero but I can't. But my negative review only goes to there children program/after school programs the rest of the programs there are good! I have a friend who works for the program and I was looking to add my kids to the after school program at Cople, But I became concern when my daughter came home and told me that a kid she friends with that goes to the program at Cople told her that the kids run the after school program and not the adults because the adults in charge don't pay attention to what the kids are doing and spend all there times on the phone or computers and let the kids break the rules and how one of the workers mentioned about having sex with her boyfriend in front of the kids. My daughter told me that here friend told her how that how a couple of the workers plotted to get rid of the guy worker there cause she hated that the kids liked him better then her smh! When I mentioned it to my friend who works for the YMCA she said it's all true and the children program director Laina Greenstreet is running the program to the ground and putting inexperienced workers in charge of the program and plays favorites with certain workers! As a concerned mom who worries about her kids I definitely will not put my kids in any of the programs until there is some changes made. But I will be keeping my friend's name and my name anonymous to protect her job! My family and friends have agree to no longer support the ymca!
