Some evenings Dog Tag hosts open mic comedy and story-telling events in partnership with Armed Services Arts Partnership, another awesome veteran and family focused community non-profit that provides free arts and comedy classes! Give this place a try on your next visit to Georgetown. P.S., the house blend coffee is a solid performer.

As a military family we love this bakery, love the mission and love the food! We run here anytime we are in Georgetown! Our most recent trip we had breakfast and grabbed goodies to take home. So clean and the atmosphere is awesome. Staff is friendly and polite!

Lovely, patriotic themed, and inviting bakery. The coffee is outstanding and the baked goods are awesome. Cranberry-apple muffins are generous and the cinnamon rolls are a full meal. Friendly and cheerful staff make the coffee stop or breakfast a great experience. Well done!

🔥 Matcha cherry muffin with cherries inside 🔥 and their chocolate zucchini mini bread is very chocolate rich! Great loose leaf tea selection. Nice and cozy spot.

What a wonderful place to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy with a delicious desert or sandwich.
Their decor is lovely. We went for a special Comedy night held by the Armed Services ARTS Partnership! The barista on duty did an amazing job of not only cleaning up for the nite, but set up the food and refreshments flawlessly. She made sure my 7 year old granddaughter was comfortable and well fed.
I will be back.

What's better than a bakery that makes delicious baked good? A bakery that's also a nonprofit that supports and helps disabled veterans to get their MBAs and start their own small business. Nobel cause aside, the bread and cakes were super yummy! I tried the lemon chess pie (think lemon bar with a flaky crust), which was buttery and had a strong honey flavor. The place has a bright and cheerful vibe, and is perfect for studying or reading. They even have signs for laptop free tables. What a hidden gem near the Georgetown waterfront!

I loved it! The staff was super nice and efficient. The space well clean and had a nice bathroom. Everything was wheelchair accessible including the front door and bathroom. The croissant was delicious too! I sat there and read a while and had a nice time.

Went on a tour around Georgetown today! The last stop on the tour...Dog Tag Bakery! Awesome place to visit! Enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie! DOG tags hanging from the ceiling, DOG TAG machine and the message of assisting our veterans...go check it out!

Amazing bakery. My daughter has a server peanut/tree nut allergy and never gets these type of fresh treats. She loved everything she got to try. A great place, great people & a great cause.

Crossed the street from Chiais to get a delicious Blondie and roasted coffee after my vegetarian taco. Great vibe and mission helping vets.

Cute cafe, friendly staff, and tasty food. There were a few gluten free options, ordered the frittata and it was delightful. Plenty of options for those with no dietary restrictions.

Delicious baked goods that are peanut free. My nephew has a peanut allergy and he was wonderfully overwhelmed with the options. The apple pie, sandwich’s, brownie parfait, cupcakes, cookies… all were a big hit with our family. Thanks for supporting military families.

Dog Tag has an amazing mission, a cute vibe, and ways friendly service. No wonder Obama and Biden once visited together. It can appear to be a little touristy sometimes, especially due to its ideal place in Georgetown, so if you're looking for a real small coffee shop to dive deep into a book perhaps not the best place. But on the flip end it's a wonderful place to bring friends and family for a chat, or even to strike up a conversation with the batista or a stranger! Charming and good coffee.

it’s delicious! such a cool bakery and i highly recommend the cinnamon bun. it was perfect!

Hard to find parking for go to bakery. However, it is definitely worth the stop. Bakery items are not over priced. We took so much time to pick out items we purchased because everything looked so delicious.
