The food here is fantastic. We had fish, steak, shrimp, and smoked lamb chops. Sides included greens, baked beans, fries, and cabbage like you’ve never tasted. Flavors are excellent in every dish. This is a gem. Owners and son are very personable. You will return.

I wanted good southern soul food the entire time on a trip to Pigeon Forge and came up short each time. Finally found the spot on the way home to Ohio. Can't rave enough about this food: extremely friendly, black owned business with patrons who kept us entertained the entire time. Hot wings, ribs, best catfish I've had in ages, coleslaw, greens, and mac & cheese 🤤

🙌🏼This place 🙌🏼 We were staying nearby on our way through town and stopped here for take out. Chef Robert treated us like family, we really enjoyed our conversation and the community atmosphere he curated. Such good people. THE FOOD! The 👏🏼 food 👏🏼. Get ALL the things, leave a big tip and walk away feeling happy. We liked everything and there wasn’t a spec left on our plates.

My ex wife and I were in Lexington today for a doctors appointment at UK and wanted to grab a nice, hearty and delicious meal, before heading back to Nashville. THE FOOD IS AMAZING AND DELICIOUS!!!! We met the owner, his son and daughter, but the highlight of our experience was meeting and talking with his Aunt, the runs the front of the restaurant. She is a beautiful spirit. I will most definitely visit again. I ordered the pork chop dinner and got Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy, as my sides and it reminded me of my Mother’s home cooking. If you live in the Lexington area and haven’t checked them out, do so, NOW👍🏽

The food was great and the employees were friendly. The chef/owner even came out and went over the menu with us and added some cornbread (which was really good) when our meal arrived at no charge. I had the whiting fish dinner with fries and greens and my coworkers had the salmon patties. We all enjoyed.I definitely recommend and will be returning again soon.

Okay, so I went to pick up some macarons for tea and I saw this on the map. I am absolutely so glad I did. Everything was delicious. I wish I could show you all the food but unfortunately it smelled so good I munched it all down before I could get a good photo. Generous portions and great prices. The owner Blue came over and spoke with us. He's a really nice welcoming man. You gotta come down and meet him! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Excellent catfish, bbq chicken, greens, Mac and cheese, masked potatoes and corn bread. I can’t choose a favorite because they were all consistently delicious. Chef Robert is also a wonderfully kind spirit and treats his patrons like family. Go enjoy this fine establishment. You will not be disappointed!

Unique recipes on classice dishes. The food was delicious. The staff were friendly and I would suggest anyone to give them a try. It will be worth the taste.

We were visiting from out-of-state and wanted to try some southern cooking. We loved the fish, ribs, pulled pork, and pork chops! The sides were great, too. The food reminded me of when I lived in Savanah! The staff were very friendly and attentive. We are coming back when we come back to town!

They always give a hearty amount of food. Prices are good and the staff is nice. They have limited parking but we got there around a good time.

I’ve been going here regularly for months, the staff is super nice and the food is the best I’ve had in years. DEFINITELY check them out!

We stopped here for lunch on our way down to Atlanta and it was excellent food!! Everything we tried (shrimp and steak) was great but the sides stole the show- mac and cheese, greens, cabbage 🤤🤤 It's definitely worth the detour from the highway. Plus, the owner is super friendly. One of those charming places you'll receive southern hospitality.

I'm not sure why people still go to fast food restaurants when there are places like this available? I had the lamb chops with a citrus glaze, mac, greens and awesome service for lunch. Prices were very reasonable. Can't recommend this place more!

The food was absolutely amazing! Came to Lexington for a wedding an always like to find small family owned restaurants like this. The owner and staff were very friendly an took care of us right away. This is a place you must try when visiting Lexington KY!! Great food and great service!!

Chef Blue and his son were amazing. My friend and I were here for a concert and did a random google search of restaurants in the area. I’m so happy I found this! Great food for a fair price. My catfish was fried and seasoned perfectly. My favorite sides were the Mac n cheese and greens. Can’t go wrong choosing Chef Blue.

In Lexington for an appointment and wanted a REAL, SOUTHERN meal! Ordered fried whiting fish dinner. My daughter ordered the Buffalo wings. Sides we got were greens, mac n cheese, cabbage, and mashed potatoes!!
EVERYTHING, food, quality, atmosphere and service felt like home!!!

My wife and I have ate here twice in the last week. The food is simply amazing!! It's home cooking at its best. A true hidden gem here in Lexington KY. It's easy to access off I-75. Just take exit 113. If you're going north on I-75 make a left at the end of the ramp. If you you're going south on I-75 make a right at the end of the ramp. Go down to 7th street and make a left. There's an Indi's Fried Chicken and stop light there. It's down roughly a half mile on the left. It kinda sits back a little.
Support locally owned businesses and give this place a try. Awesome home cooked soul food at its best!!!

The food is amazing. The clerk is beautiful, and the food is amazing. I love East End, ,: My birthplace, and the greens on that plate respected my view. That blend of spices and soul gives God rhythm. We are the first people and the Blue Skillet provides service of Soul, Godly Soul.
