Kroger Pharmacy

I had a great experience at the pharmacy today. A girl behind the counter, I think named Abby helped me tremendously get my anxiety medication. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. She really wanted to help me and listened to what I had to say. Highly recommend Kroger Pharmacy!!

I have been using the Kroger store on Tates Creek Road for about seven years now. Recently I have had a heart attack and have been limited as to what I can and cannot do in terms of activity. On several occasions I have needed assistance having my groceries taken to my vehicle and unloaded. Allen has always been helpful in assisting me with this task. He goes out of his way to help me and is always very courteous. He even remembers my vehicle and asks if my dog Bentley is with me on this trip. I would like to thank Allen for helping and being so courteous to me and Bentley.

I was very happy I was treated with kindness and respect and they filled my order and got me checked out in a very timely manner I was impressed with the overall experience

The Staff is wonderful and friendly. They are very busy so patience is a virtue. They do their best.

REASON FOR EDITED REVIEW AT END. We just switched to this pharmacy due to insurance changes. So far everything‘s been smooth. The only thing I have noticed is that a couple of the pharmacy technicians are not as astute as I’m used to at other pharmacies. That could be a fluke. As far as service and the pharmacists themselves, everything is fine.

A healthcare professional at a local physician’s office told me to be careful at this particular Kroger due to to illegal activity witnessed by a Kroger employee multiple times in front of the store. I personally have never seen anything, nor has my husband. This is nothing that should be taken as truth by anyone who reads this review. I was told that fact twice. I know the person who gave me the fact well and the person is trustworthy; therefore, I’m including it.

UPDATE JULY 2018: My experience with this Kroger pharmacy has been overwhelmingly positive. They’ve done an excellent job on customer service and I have no desire to change pharmacies again.

UPDATE OCTOBER 2018: For unknown reasons we have encountered issues with childproof caps being put on medication bottles after asking multiple times for that to not be done, mixups with how to charge our medication, and technicians who were improperly trained. We would change pharmacies if that was an option for us. Something changed in the management of this location; I have no idea what that was.

FINAL UPDATE APRIL 2019: There is a new (to me) pharmacist at this location named Frank. He goes out of his way to answer questions and help. Without exception, the other pharmacists before him were unhelpful to downright confrontational. This gentleman is really great.

The other reviews about the drive thru are correct. It is bad. I however did drop my perscription off at 8am and was told to come back in 2 hours. I later returned at 1220pm. My perscriptions were not ready and the lady helping me did not seem to know where they were. I had 5 total. I watched as she looked in one spot then to another then another and another. 17 mins in line (inside the store) Finally I was able to checkout. She was friendly but seemed very lost. I gave a lower star rating due to the always forever long lines in the drive thru.

Congratulations Krogers. You have the slowest pharmacy in the whole of Lexington.....
Also sending texts saying prescriptions are ready and after waiting 35 mins to be served, to find out its not ready..... come on....
I know your busy and slammed, but take care of business and don't make promises you can't keep....

The LONGEST wait on common medication. I was told my sons medication would be ready at 11! 12:15 and I was still waiting on it. if the workers wasn’t standing around talking maybe service would get faster.
