El Sol

One of my favorite places in Harrisonburg! The staff are so friendly. The food is prepared with detail. The sopes (pictured) are fresh and delicious! We have someone in our family that is allergic to dairy, and they gave us dairy free options to choose from for them which is much appreciated! Don’t forget to check out the clever mural! (Their building used to be a Chinese restaurant.)

Stopped here for lunch while passing through the area. The food was delicious. The service was a little slow but the staff were nice. I got the daily special which was chicken in green sauce. The food was delicious and the chips were good

The food, drinks, and service were wonderful. The fajitas were the best we've ever had -cooked perfectly and served with warm freshly house-made tortillas. Diego made us a variety of cocktails, all expertly crafted with high-end ingredients. The friendly staff made sure we had a great experience from start to finish.

Very good spot for authentic Mexican food. We were pleased by the food and service. I recommend the chicken tacos.

El Sol is amazing! I love their food here ! Staff is friendly and accommodating. The store is so clean and so are the bathrooms! You also get a cute panda picture!

Food was amazing. Pico de gallo so fresh. Hot sauce , hot and flavorful! Fish tacos, meaty and delicious. Everything was perfect!

First time going here in years, and it was much better than I remembered. Authentic Mexican food. Really, really good stuff.

We have been eating El Sol for over 5 years and they never disappoint. For appetizers, we order the homemade chips with guacamole… you are not going to find ANOTHER RESTAURANT with HOMEMADE CHIPS! This is what separates this unique restaurant with the nearby competitors. Guacamole and chips arrived to my table warm with delicious flavor. Food is always fresh, attractive , and tasty! My family and I always order the Sopes de Carne Asada, Tacos de Carne Asada, Gorditas de Carne Asada, and etc. The Chocolate Molten Cake was good. In order for it to be called a Molten Lava cake, it has to have warm chocolate coming out of the center and it did! My family and I will never stop coming to El Sol for a lunch or dinner brunch. Service is good, she was nice and friendly.

Something I would suggest: Update Google hours and answer the phone.

Best Mexican food in town! Authentic and always delicious. Handmade tortillas, chips and guacamole are fresh and sooo good. Service is great. If you are looking for the real thing, do not look further!

Taco Tuesday. I actually don't care if the tacos are $1 or $3. They are worth every penny. The chicken, pork, beef, they're all delicious. The tortillas though. Omfg. They are pressing those things to order on taco Tuesday, if not every day. And they are the best tortillas I've ever had.

Great food, excellent service, reasonable price, and you name it and they'll cook it even if not on the menu. They cooked me food I had only heard of and not on the menu just cuz I asked. Now that is what I call service. Tostadas, ranchos, chicken mole. You have a customer for life. Thank you.

Excellent authentic food that we were craving since moving from the DMV. Diego is phenomenal!!!!

The food was amazing! Homemade tortillas, made fresh to order! The steak in my tacos were not full of fat, it was all meat and very tender! The salsa made was perfect, one was mild and the other spicy. The rice was very flavorful and my young boys chicken tenders and fries were crisp and fresh made. I would certainly go back with the family again for lunch or dinner!

Very good Mexican restaurant. The more authentic Mexican restaurant I should say. Menudo soup was great, not many places serve that.

It was clear that they cared about my friend and me! The atmosphere was pleasant! The food was great too, especially the meats! I don’t know how they cooked them and they did a great job

The decor has been spruced up a decent bit since the last Mexican restaurant before it. We had great service, with a pleasant waitress willing to make suggestions. The food was fantastic and authentic! Especially for the price point, they have great portion sizes. It did feel a bit empty, like they weren't using the space properly; also some of it looked like it had never been renovated since it was built.

Overall it was an excellent experience and I will be returning.

Absolutely DELICIOUS. Everything we had was so good.
The chicken tacos and chicken sopes are very tender and flavorful over the beef. Would eat here again!
